Blaze Exclusive: International Socialists Orchestrate Unions‘ Rally to ’Save the American Dream’

Last fall, leftist ideological groups of socialists and communists teamed up with American labor unions to march together for “One Nation.”  Now, as labor leaders struggle to maintain a stranglehold on collective bargaining privileges in Wisconsin, the same groups are once again marching together under a banner claiming unions are the heart of the American dream.

As we’ve reported, former White House green jobs czar Van Jones this week issued a rallying call for the progressive movement to “renew itself and become again a national force with which to be reckoned.” On Saturday, progressive groups and labor unions are reportedly planning to hold marches of solidarity in all 50 states.

Here in Washington, D.C., leftist activists at MoveOn.org are co-hosting a rally Saturday with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).  But behind the scenes, The Blaze has exclusively learned the rally has actually been organized by the International Socialist Organization.

Blaze Exclusive: International Socialists Orchestrate Unions Rally to Save the American Dream

(MoveOn.org)

According to MoveOn.org’s website, the rally is meant to fight back against Congress which has “been taken over by corporate lackeys who want to destroy the American dream.”

“The American dream,” MoveOn organizer Bill Boteler says, “is about fairness and equal opportunity… We’re standing up for the American Dream and saying that now is not the time to start slashing middle-class jobs in the middle of a recession, in Wisconsin, or anywhere in America. Be there to tell the politicians: Before you shut down the government and punish middle-class working Americans, why not first make the richest of the rich pay their fair share in taxes, just like everyone else.”

Despite MoveOn.org and SEIU taking a leading role — along with a number of other sponsors including the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, George Soros’ Media Matters, the Apollo Alliance and the Sierra Club — the National Park Service has confirmed that the Saturday rally’s permit was requested by and issued to the International Socialist Organization, a group committed to building a “future socialist society.”

Blaze Exclusive: International Socialists Orchestrate Unions Rally to Save the American Dream

A number of sponsors for Saturday's protests are noted at MoveOn.org, however the ISO is not listed.

How many unionized American workers consider the “American dream” to be a “future socialist society”?

According to their own website, the ISO admits its branches across the country are “helping to build a number of struggles,“ including ”standing up for workers’ rights”:

The misery that millions of people around the world face is rooted in the society we live in–capitalism, where the few who rule profit from the labor of the vast majority of the population.

In the U.S., a tiny proportion of the population enjoys fantastic wealth, while millions of people live in desperate poverty, and many more live paycheck to paycheck. Yet we have the resources to feed, clothe and educate everyone on the planet.

A world free of exploitation–socialism–is not only possible but worth fighting for. The ISO stands in the tradition of revolutionary socialists Karl Marx, V.I. Lenin and Leon Trotsky in the belief that workers themselves–the vast majority of the population–are the only force that can lead the fight to win a socialist society. Socialism can’t be brought about from above, but has to be won by workers themselves. …

We see our task as building an independent socialist organization with members organizing in our workplaces, our schools and our neighborhoods to bring socialist ideas to the struggles we are involved in today, and the vision of a socialist world in the future.

In addition to working with liberal activists and national labor unions behind the scenes, the ISO is just one of many socialist/Marxist/communist groups organizing their members to support Van Jones’ new “American dream” initiative.

The Daily Caller noted Friday that a number of radical groups — including the Maoist Revolutionary Communist Party, the Communist Party USA, Trotskyist Socialist Workers Party and the Democratic Socialists of America — are taking up the labor unions’ talking points and encouraging Egypt-like unrest in the United States.

The Socialist Workers Party has labeled Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker “an enemy of the people.”

“Egypt, whose revolution has been a constant source of inspiration here, reflected in signs and chants — and Walker’s new nickname, Gov. Mubarak,” an ISO article reads.  In addition, the article labels the current budget debates in Wisconsin as “class war” and as an affront to “the standard of living of working people.”

“Using the deficit as a scare tactic, the right-wing corporate Republicans are on a fast track to defeat every initiative of the Obama administration, to destroy unions and public services at the federal, state and municipal level, and at the same time protect tax breaks for the richest few,” writes Joelle Fishman, chair of the Communist Party USA’s Political Action Commission.  A “broad alliance of forces for social change (labor, racially oppressed, women, youth)” need to step forward to re-frame the nation’s political debate for the 2012 elections, she insists.

While many skeptics claim these radical leftist groups may agree with the unions on a number of issues, the fact that these groups are actually working in conjunction with unions to orchestrate the ongoing protests says a lot about American unions’ modern-day political orientation — far to the left and antithetical to the real American dream.

Their version of the American Dream is, in reality, our country’s worst nightmare. They talk about being fair. They have a perverted definition of FAIR. So is it fair that they use the money from union members to push for their agenda? Is it fair to rob the rich, or anyone for that matter? Those people will not stop until they bring everybody down to the gutter. Their organizers and leaders will lord over us with their ill-gotten wealth and power. This is their American Dream.
Let us be their worst nightmare.

Communists and Marxists always cloak their treacherous agenda under great sounding names like the “American Dream.“ It is a way to con you into believing that their ”dream” is the dream of all Americans when it is not.

Communism is the antithesis of freedom because everything is owned by the State under Communism. This gives the State all the power.

In our Republic we the people have all the power because it is a representational government. We send people to Congress to represent us. They in turn represent us within the parameters of the U. S. Constitution.

Under Communism the people have no representation in who rules over them. So, when it becomes so oppressive that the people rebel against the totalitarian form of government then the government has to kill them to retain it’s power. That’s why all tyrannies end up with death by government.

Communists and Socialists use “workers rights” as a way of increasing their power over you. The worker is just one of their “useful idiots” that’s all. They gain all the power and you pay your forced dues to them. When the Union becomes too powerful they become the oppressors and it is then that they no longer work on your behalf but on their own behalf.

Big Unions who ally themselves with Communists and Socialist groups eventually become just like big government. They usurp all your power and eventually become tyrannical.

When our Founders made America a Republic they wanted to form a government that gave the power to the people which meant that they wanted a government that would be as small as possible that would basically protect the people’s safety, leaving the people to govern themselves. The Founders had lived under tyranny where they could be drawn and quartered for speaking out against the King. And many were drawn and quartered and tarred and feathered. They didn’t want any of that for us. They wanted America to be the great experiment where we would be given the gift of ruling ourselves.

So, all of these nefarious groups that have banded together to rally this weekend do not represent the “American Dream.” They are the anithesis of the American Dream, because all of them are composed of people who want Communism or Socialism or Marxism which is not what our Republic stands for. It is what they want to fundamentally change America into. They want what we fought against in the Cold War with Russia.

These Communist and Socialist and Marxist groups have candy-coated tyranny.

If you really want to know what it‘s like to live under Communism go and talk to someone who’s lived under it. In Communist Russia you couldn’t copy anything without getting permission from the government to do so. Books were banned and you could be killed for reading a book. The individual had no rights that weren’t given to them by the State. Noone was safe. If you voiced any opposition you were executed. That’s Communism. The gulags is Communism.

So, don’t let them fool you by calling what they have to offer the “American Dream.” The American Dream is what we have been living until now under the U.S. Constitution. The American Dream is the Republic upon which we stand. These Socialist and Communist groups are collectively seeking to take away the American Dream and eradicate the U.S. Constitution and replace it with tyranny. Their tyranny over you.

if only we could get them to under stand those words, but when they have been brain washed by free money and socialist teachers and professors, then they know no better. they all think that we all can live in perfect harmony and that every one can, all make the same amount of money live in the same kind of house and have the same benefits. WOW, THAT IS COMMUNISM. no one seems to know what or who will be in charge of their ““NEW WORLD ORDER ”” i do, left wing commies.

Arent the progressives spread a little thin what with the protests in the middle east and Wisc.? It will be interesting to see how many show up at each protest or if the LSM just does their usual math (10=100, 100=1000, 1000=10,000, etc) The one nation march was a let down and they paid folks to come.
I will share however that Move on is reaching out to police and fire and other large city public unions that they usually dont associate with, to get some supplemental bodies to show up. Im retired, but my old union sent me a notice to go and support the socialists. I told them to shove it and why.

The truly fearful and tragic aspect of this is that the Unions and Socialists are trying to hijack the American Dream and “redefine” it to suit their purposes. Just like Obama, who constantly redefines things to suit his purposes…

The American Dream is that anyone can come to America, work hard and better themselves, to increase their station in life.

Unions don’t want that dream. They want everyone to stay where they are, to drag the successful down into the mire, to have an elite class which starts with union leaders. Their vision is a nightmare.

Aye, and there’s the rub for the Left. No matter how they try to tweak the details they always end up running face-first into that little fact, and it’s one of the biggest reasons why Socialism always fails, and usually at great human cost.

“The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money” -Margaret Thatcher

Government cannot, has not, and never will or can create wealth or jobs no matter what the form of government may be. Government is incapable of these things by its’ very nature and that of people. Government is in every case a cost and an impediment to wealth creation. To believe in Socialism, one must completely ignore and dismiss millenniums of evidence as to human nature and the history of Socialist type governments/societies.

If every single private business across the U.S.A. was to stage a opt out day or two, and close down their doors, and allowed business to come to a hault. Then would Americans see just how much we need capitalizm, and the business men and women that give people their jobs.. If you don’t like your paticular job, then find another one, go to school or figure out how to start your own business. Stop bashing the business owners who have the ability to start their own businesses. For years democrates have repersented the working man, and Republican have looked out for corprate America, and both have been infiltrated by socialist that want to destroy the Capital system that was working pretty good until Unions got to powerful.
It should be made illegal for any Union to use any portion of a workers Union dues to fund any political canidate. This is why we are here today, dealing with union Thugs and well paid democrates that will go to any length they feel is needed to protect their power, and their political postions.

On January 10, 1963, the House of Representative and later the Senate began reviewing a document entitled “Communist Goals for Taking Over America.” It contained an agenda of 45 separate issues that, in hindsight was quite shocking back then and equally shocking today. Here, in part, are some key points listed in that document.

    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states.

    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.

    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

    27. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

Or is “fair” a word that is just used to express your dislike for the judgment at hand? If everything were fair, we would all be condemned to hell. If it were fair, Jesus would not have died to save our souls. In grace and mercy are we forgiven our debts. I do not want “fair”, I want Jesus to judge me. For He forgives.

      @SmartyPoop

      Ding! Ding! Ding!

      We have a winnah!

Public sector unions were a mistake from the get-go. They use their power and money to elect those they negotiate with for their wages, who themselves pay nothing, and pass on the cost to the taxpayers who never got invited to the contract negotiations.

It’s a totally corrupt and incestuous relationship. The public sector unions deliver votes, muscle when needed, and campaign funds. The politicians deliver ever-more union power, money/benefits, and dues-paying members.

Private sector unions are a different case. If they weigh too heavily on businesses, businesses will move away or go out of business. There is no such self-limiting factor in public sector unions except when the voters finally have had enough and throw out all the corrupt politicians & bureaucrats and insist on changes to government/union relations, or the government collapses economically.

How an army of ill-driven socialists have any chance is perhaps only because we have not all gotten up off our asses and gone to http://www.freedomconnector.org

About half of those organizations listed are funded by Soros. Its disgusting how he made like he isnt a puppet master on CNN when he in fact is. Do the research you will see these org’s are getting money from him.

Look at how fast they put this together it will be interesting to see how many show up at each site. If you are planning a counter protest good luck you are better off infiltrating them acting like one of them and recording what they are really up to instead of being the opposition.

TEA Party (take note of proper spelling) organizers you better take things up a notch and bring this fight to these groups front door!

‘Spock’: “Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one” thats how its suppose to go and there are more of us than them yet we are allowing the few or the one to dictate policy and the narrative if you will in America?! When are the people in this country going to rise up to the radicals driving the US into the ground and those like Soros who are pitting American vs American?!

The problem with most of these crowds and protestors, are they are paid, or lose interest as soon as American Idol comes on. Most of these kids have ADD, and all you have to do is yell, SQUIREL.
Turn off the Cell towers and no texting, they would freak out and go home. Shoot, just release a new video game, and off they will run.
What you will have left is a well organized, angry group that would resemble a Charlie Sheen fan club.
Now if that group can’t get an angry sustained uprising, a few hundred can’t take on several thousand. The difference is they seem to think a large majority of Americans are behind them, like in Egypt, the difference is Egypt had decades of poverty and dictatorship. In the US, we aren’t suffering like that, shoot, people are still risking their lives to get here.
So to think this group can cause a great uprising, I think the mob lasts only as long as there are TVs left to loot. Once the lootable material is gone, so will there mob.
Besides, I have said it before, Progressives/Socialist don’t believe in the second amendment, Conservative/Libertarians do. Don’t bring a slogan to a gun fight.

There is, I think, a flaw in your thinking on this subject.
Generally I would agree that 50% of all marching armies to victory will fail but in this case….unless we, the dyed in the wool conservatives, get our ducks in a row we will be out organized.
Van Jones etal have had years to prepare and we the “fat and happy American” have been sitting on the sidelines thinking this will all go away as it has in the past. However, this time I doubt it will go away without a struggle.
Hopefully, the interest of those with Jones can not be sustained and the communist/socialist/Marxists will fall by the wayside. And, once again his, Jones, plans will fall flat as they did in the 1960s.
When you have Islamic extremists on our border, hand in glove with the drug cartels; Sharia law advocates running rampant; judges not upholding the rule of law; and, our economic problems NOW that is a recipe for big problems. When Andy Stern said, “Workers of the world unite!” he was quoting the communist mantra of the Russian Revolution that resulted in the creation of the U.S.S.R.

Look at how good the Soviet “Union Brothers” had it during their seventy odd years of communist rule. They got to work where ever the party assigned them, at what ever pay the party thought was appropriate and could freely change jobs when ever the party allowed them to. They had the “freedom” to live where ever the party assigned them quarters, sometimes with only one other family. They got to shop at stores with empty shelves. They could even protest……at the risk of their lives!

Once in control, the unions would become a function of the state and the guys like Stern and Trumpka would become government officials and therefore be in the “Elite” class. At that point an amazing transformation will take place and the workers will start getting messages from their leadership to conform, or else!

I have known Trumpka was a communist since the late 1980′s but I did not realize Andy Stern was until I heard him say, “Workers of the world unite!” These are two the few people with easy access to Obama. These are the kinds of people Obama associates with. Can any of you still doubt that Obama sees the United States of America as the next socialist “paradise”?

Lets not forget the real point here. The “sign” in the picture says that ‘corporate America is stealing the “American Dream”. Yet, it‘s unions that are organizing and executing these so called ’protests’. Without “corporations” to extort unions would not be where they are. Also, it’s not ONLY “corporations” because, who, ultimately, makes a “corporation” successful? People with discretionary money who spend it on the products from these companies.

In the end, these protests and rallies are really aimed at you and me. We are the ones that make “corporate America” successful. And I am deeply offended by these actions. Socialism is an evil of many faces. To the ‘protesters’ it holds the face of “Hope and Change” because they are connected via their jobs to the unions holding Americans hostage and extorting corporate America. To me it is robbing my freedom of choice and the future of my children for selfish lust.

At least after these rallies the union garbage picker will have plenty of work cleaning up the mess left behind by these swine. Unlike the Tea Party rallies and Becks rally where we left the area cleaner than before we started. The uNions have worn out their welcome and are one of the problems that have forced much of our manufacturing to othe countries where labor is cheaper. They have priced themselves out of the market in the proivate sector and as a result their only recourse is unionizing thepublic sector against the taxpayers. We can respond with a Right-to-Work Ammendment to the Constitution. In fact we should demand one. Then Trumka and Sterns and their ilk can go unionize in Lybia. We don’t need these commies in this country.

I seriously don’t get it….how can so many people not see that socialism is at in their front door? How can they be SO BLIND as to not see what particiapation in such will do to them in the future? Can’t they read? Or are the blinders on so tight and narrow that the leash they are on is the only guide they want?

This 2012 election is going to be very interesting…..they need to post some serious security at the polling places,,,,because I predict that vote cards will be lost or illegally replaced and electronic polling will be corrupt. I fear Obama gets elected with only 30 percent of the legal votes, but will mysteriously show up as a majority.

I also predict there will be no more elections after that and all the blind will finally see the true face of what they have been supporting. I further predict that I will sell the farm and relocate to another country.

“The misery that millions of people around the world face is rooted in the society we live in–capitalism, where the few who rule profit from the labor of the vast majority of the population.”

Actually, the misery we face is a result of the overreach of government. In America, we’ve been suffering from it for the past 100 years.

As for those who “rule profit”, everyone who works for anything, whether through labor or capital, actually owns what he produces – whether it be commodities or capital.

Socialists want you to make an arbitrary distinction between those who use the wealth they have worked for to hire others, and those who use their labor to also work for wealth.

You don’t give up your right to pay for anything in the market – including labor – just because you earn more than someone else.

The wages workers are paid actually represent the work done by the employer beforehand, so the employer gets to do whatever he wants with his money.

It doesn’t help those who want to find employment that the government regulates the economy in a way that is inconsistent with the Commerce Clause, as the Founders intended it to mean (and therefore is the correct intent, since it was the Founders who wrote it).

“In the U.S., a tiny proportion of the population enjoys fantastic wealth, while millions of people live in desperate poverty, and many more live paycheck to paycheck. Yet we have the resources to feed, clothe and educate everyone on the planet.”

If someone earns “fantastic wealth”, that’s just fine with me – I’m happy for them. It’s their wealth, and they don’t have to consider me at all in their decision to spend it (or not). If I have something they want to buy, including my labor, then I‘ll be happy to take their money and they’ll be happy to give it to me.

But, again, the “desparate poverty” comes from regulation of the private sector, which affects employers’ willingness to hire – which, I would quickly add, is COMPLETELY their choice; No one owes us a job because people can do whatever they want with their own money.

“A world free of exploitation–socialism–is not only possible but worth fighting for.”

This is laughable. Trade a free market for a ruling elite who tells you what you can or can’t buy or sell? Not a chance.

People came to America to ESCAPE Socialism.

“The ISO stands in the tradition of revolutionary socialists Karl Marx, V.I. Lenin and Leon Trotsky in the belief that workers themselves–the vast majority of the population–are the only force that can lead the fight to win a socialist society. Socialism can’t be brought about from above, but has to be won by workers themselves.”

Again, the distinction between workers and employers is arbitrary – especially in America where everyone can get capital if they work for it. The Marxist view also denies certain people their unalienable right to own what they work for – including capital.

Socialism is flawed at its most fundamental level. I don’t feel like any less of a person than a rich person. I wish them as much success as they want, and I hope all of America becomes as productive as they are (which, again, is harder to do with all the government regulations).

“We see our task as building an independent socialist organization with members organizing in our workplaces, our schools and our neighborhoods to bring socialist ideas to the struggles we are involved in today, and the vision of a socialist world in the future.”

I, personally, am committed to underbidding and out-performing Socialist movements, if not out of mere principle, then out of economic necessity. Socialism destroys the economy, and actually does not treat individuals as equals.
