THERE ARE PEOPLE READING THE BLAZE, THAT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, EITHER WITH INFLUENCE OR THE MONEY THEY HAVE, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF OUR CONSTITUTION, LIBERTY, AND SECURITY, SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING. I do not have influence, but I will do whatever I need to do to work tirelessly for his nomination (go door to door, give donations, whatever I can do legally). SO, Y’ALL THINK ABOUT THIS!!!!

We hasd a similar dialogue on his running for POTUS. May I suggest that rthosw who haven’t looked at that do so? Thank you.

I love his courage and a sense of humour. It is very encouraging!!!! I would suggest that the mild mannered proven Constitutionalist Ron Paul run for POTUS with Christie as his VP. Let Christie be the agressive one. Great personality match. The 2010 election would be educative and entertaining.

I live in New Jersey and I voted for Chris with conviction. If you didn’t know that he was a politician, you’d never guess it to hear the way he speaks. If you go to Wikipedia and read about his accomplishments, you’ll love him even more. (Be careful about wanting to live in Jersey. It’s still one of the most expensive states to live in). Here are some excerpts from WIKI about Christie:
      ————————————————————————————————————————————————–
      United States Attorney

Christie served as the chief federal law enforcement officer in New Jersey from January 17, 2002 to December 1, 2008. His office included 137 attorneys, with offices in Newark, Trenton and Camden. Christie also served as one of the 17 U.S. Attorneys on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’ advisory committee.

Despite the initial misgivings over his degree of experience, Christie proceeded to earn praise for his history of convictions for public corruption. During his tenure, Christie’s office won convictions or guilty pleas from 130 public officials, both Republican and Democratic, on the state, county and local levels without losing a single case.[11] The most notable of these convictions included those of Hudson County Executive Robert C. Janiszewski in 2002 on bribery charges,[12] Essex County Executive James W. Treffinger in 2003 on corruption charges,[13] former New Jersey Senate President John A. Lynch, Jr. in 2006 on charges of mail fraud and tax evasion,[14] State Senator and former Newark mayor Sharpe James in 2008 on fraud charges,[15] and State Senator Wayne R. Bryant in 2008 on charges of bribery, mail fraud, and wire fraud.[16]

While US Attorney, Christie also filed an amicus curiae brief in favor of an Albanian Muslim Mosque seeking to build in Wayne Township, New Jersey which had been denied a building permit multiple times and was now facing an attempt to take their land through eminent domain proceedings

I live in NJ too. I am a very strong advocate for Sarah Palin and I voted for him. I must say that, as a registered republican, I normally do vote republican. I can also honestly say that this is the first time that I am EMBARRASSED to admit it. What this man is doing to the educational system in this state is a real crime. School programs and activities are being slashed with 30% budget cuts! Brand new shool buildings cannot be used to aleviate overcrowding because funding was cut. Our youth will suffer at his hand, why can’t he cut his staff and government, his salaries, his benefits, etc. And NO I am not a teacher. Sure he will cut our state tax, only to throw the burden on municipalities.
you want for your Governor you can have him, but please not president, the country is in bad enough shape. there has to be a better choice than him.

I too live in NJ. Yes, school budgets were cut in order to keep spending in check. In our district they eliminated several poorly performing teachers and they also eliminated the sports program in the middle school. And something amazing happened. The students that played sports in the middle school now play in the township youth league. Our club is now competitive again. Moreover, only those familys that have kids that participate in sports are paying for the sports. Two of my kids play township soccer and I happily wrote those checks.

Glad someone else sees Grover Cleveland, the LAST DEMOCRAT POTUS WHO LOVED AND RESPECTED THE CONSTITUTION, AS A GREAT STRAIGHTSHOOTING POTUS. Cleveland was a Mayor of Buffalo where he cleaned up the establishment there. He masde some serious enemies. Moved on to be NY Governor for one term becoming nationally known for his integrity and then nominated for POTUS and won. Only POTUS who served two terms but NOT consequetively. He dealt with striking unions and raving spoils system even againstt people in both the GOP and DP. His biggest problem was how to most effectively deal with the budget surpluses.

Thank you for helping me see the comparisons. America would be fortunate to have Christie on the ticket with Ron Paul as POTUS. Expereinced gained from age with youth coming to national leadership. A winning duo.

@jtkell – What I said is true. Chris Christie is Presidential Material. And many people like what he is doing, including me. Most would agree that he becoming a conservative rock star.

I don‘t know enough about cap and trade and I do not like what I’ve heard so far. I believe the free market should lead the way for alternative energy without being nudged by the government.

But I can tell you that I do support clean energy and so does Chris Christie. I support clean energy for good reasons.

      Here are only a few:
      1. We must be energy independent to compete in the world.
      2. Oil will not last forever.
      3. I don’t like breathing carbon monoxide on the freeway.(Selfish reasons)
      4. I would rather have my car run on water or sunlight. It’s cheaper.
      5. Using local energy will stimulate economic growth.
      6. Goods and services could be transported at a lower cost.

But if I had a choice between Christie, Palin, or Huckabee for president I would pick Mike Huckabee. I believe his Integrity is second to none and his leadership abilities are outstanding. His statesmanship is one of a kind who stands for the values I believe in.

Here is one of my favorite Huckabee videos:
“Who’s the true Reagan Conservative” http://youtu.be/85HL6Jw2hUM

But no one is perfect even Mike Huckabee. We are dealing with human beings. We do the best we can. Well… at least most us do. Let’s continue to pray and lift up the very best to serve us in our wonderful country.

      rogue, Temptations Evade Analysis
In the heat of isolated instances we know where he stands. In that regard, he is a good comedian. Do not be surprised, over the long haul that we must envision, he proves to be a RINO. It is where he stands on policy and not toe to toe with a foe that must measure his true worth. Yesterday, some on this board, from NJ, reported Christie sanctions Cap & Trade within his region. He is certainly a good model for dealing with the confrontational left, for today. Tomorrow needs will be very different. Do not set yourself up for disappointment because of superficial passions, a mere infatuation today. Far to much is at stake to fail to holdback, poised with strongest reserve, until much more of substantive value is heard, seen and develops. Applaud the spectacle, stay the course. Fascination with a moment, a mere staged spectacle, is part of what got us into this trouble. Return not to the vomit.

I truly am impressed with the way that Christie has led the charge to combat fiscal irresponsibility in his state, he seems to be doing a good job. However, I was wondering if anyone else was was concerned with his stand on cap and trade. The people of NJ have already paid more than $66 million in extra energy expences since 2008 to pay for the RGGI program that is in place. It seems to me that instead of appropriating funds from RGGI to balance his budget that he would be trying to distance himself as far away as possible from them. Also, I just read today that President Obama has appointed Gov. Christie to the ACTPN (Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations). Now we all know the president’s affinity for surrounding himself with people of his own ilk, so my question is if Christie is everything that we think he is, why isn’t the president running as far away from Christie as possible? Is this just a move by the President to try and seem “less” radical, or does the president know something about Christie that we don’t?

Also, that doesn’t really answer the RGGI delima. There are a couple of assemblypersons that have put forth legislation to repeal the Global Warming Response Act of 2007 and withdraw from RGGI. Let’s hope that Christie goes that way. We will all have to wait and see….
