Blaze Readers: Here’s Your Chance Tell Us About Yourselves! (New Poll)

There are so many of you, that we want to know more about you.

OK, OK, full disclosure: the more we know about you (things like where you live, what you like to do, etc.) the better job our sales people can do at bringing you ads for products that could benefit you. But this information will also make The Blaze a more responsive site. You see, the more information we have about your likes and dislikes, helps us tailor our stories to better match your interests.

Can you please spend a few minutes (seriously, just a couple of minutes) answering some “Yes, No, Don’t Care” questions?

BLAZE READERS: Tell us – Who are you?

Feel free to suggest a question of your own!

(H/T: Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Beast – he did a similar survey on his page.)

UPDATE:

In just 24 hours we garnered two million responses. You can see the results of your responses here.

I usually love reading the Blaze and the comments, but it seems more and more people are posting their own “projects” or what ever is the flavor of the day. I come to the Blaze for the real news as I know I can trust this sight! I am tired of everyones agenda they are promoting–I JUST WANT TO READ THE NEWS AND NEVER GO TO THE SIGHTS POSTED BY COMMENTORS! Stop the crap commentors—if you have an agenda, post it on your own page and stay away from the Blaze and real news!

Just ignore them. A lot of people or commentors are left-wing radicals. Yes, you have to weed thru them as they infiltrate our board. The minute I detect a liberal, I IGNORE and move on. It is STILL a free country. And YES, I agree with you fully, but will NOT leave Glenn, The Blaze, or GBTV. He is the ONLY one I trust in this lop-sided world. Take your concerns up with the Editor of the Blaze.

I probably answered the obamacare question wrong. It was poorly phrased. healthcare under obamacare will be a nightmare. AFTER it’s eliminated each State can begin attacking the unnecessarily high costs, and addressing insurance. A one size fits all is incompatible with individual care.

We had to find it out ourselves after years of doing our own homework. Now it will be a Civil War to stop it.Did you know it has been moved up from 2025 to 2012 with Obama having control of the Senate and having had up until resent control of the House.

I too, normally come to the Blaze for the news, but unlike Sheris, I love the option of the different links, and things the commentors post. I’ve learned a lot that I might not have known for weeks or months, because someone I TRUSTED (not an easy flavor to counterfiet) posted a link to it, or mentioned it and I did a Web Search to find out what they’re talking about. (I always do the latter if I’m not VERY familiar with the poster and certain they are who they pretend to sound like.)

This MIGHT NOT BE THE ONLY NIGHTMARE TO BRING ON A CIVIL WAR! Do a web search of the NewStatesConstitution, (I found out about it on Constitutional Emergency’s Blogs) It seems Van Jones, and Cass Sustein along with MOST of the czars, have long since decided they couldn’t convince the states we needed a Constitutional Convention so in the Carter years they began writing one of their own. It‘s READY FOR IMPLEMENTATION NOW AND IT’S CHILLING! It will do away with any states sovereignity and make the president (9 yr terms) and the senate (appointed for life) sovereign over just about everything else. All power flows from them and ALL RIGHTS ARE GRANTED BY THEM! there’s a Congress, (half appointed by the president, half elected.) IF IMPLEMENTED, WE’D ALMOST BE BETTER OFF WITH AGENDA 21!

That’s actually a really good point Mosell. I believe that our military people serve under the Code of Military Justice and are not actually covered by the Constitution during their service – at least not totally. A captured military person would be (technically) covered under the Geneva Convention and the general rules of war. So it begs the question, exactly why would we apply a Constitutional standard to non-citizen terrorist combatants when our own military personnel are not even subject to that it?

      @mosell and Mr Galt
You are correct in that only the geneva convention applies.Wait though it gets better/s If a terrorist holds and american in america through the invisible curtain nothing applys. Its not war they aren’t a soldier marine.it leaves them to seek justice through the civilian system that is on the side of the terrorists. This always fails usually ending in extortion of the target by the feds and military lawyers.
The fact there parents service put them in the position for it to happen is irrelevant to the civilian feds.
Usually these targets give up and accept the inevitable. The inevitable you ask is the following
They will not recieve justice ever
They will get used to medical sexual and physical torture. For them its not a crime any longer.Just another tool of tyranny by the enemy.
They are alone and will remain that way for life. There really isn’t anyone who understands and never will. They accept that.
They accept the fact that the country their family members served to protect is dead and gone.It died of a thousand internal cuts along time ago.
They accept the fact that they are hollowed out shells of their former selves. They still go forward anyway to try an be productive citizens in a country that for them no longer exists except on paper.
They pray every day that the rest of the us population never experiences what they have. They work dilegently to repeal obamma care so that they don’t

Here’s the questions you should be asking: Do our rights come from God (inalienable) or the Government? If they come from the government, then they can grant them to whomever they choose. If they come from God, then Government does not have the legitimate right to deny them to anybody in it’s jurisdiction, regardless of citizenship.

I strongly disagree, our treatment of us citizen troops are not must be uniform under the constitution.
Half of the amendments are specifically for the purpose of maintaining US citizens’ ability to fight their own government. When you read “militia” in the constitution or writing from that time it should always equal army/navy/etc. in your mind because that was its purpose in that time.

And due to this obviously the constitution trumps any laws, etc. regarding the treatment and freedoms of our military members, anywhere they are (the Constitution doesn’t stipulate, only if on us land). Now treatment other other nation’s/non-US citizens combatants would fall under international law.

I was taught in Government classes many years ago, that the US Constitution ONLY covers US Citizens, Native Americans and those actively pursuing citizenship, in this country, and US citizens abroad. That was why so many came to this country legally, so that they could enjoy the rights and Responsibilities in the US Constitution.
It NEVER was intended to be enemies captured attempting to overthrow, our government, or enemies on the battlefield, who were not US citzens, where ever they were caught.

In order to put yourself in a position to defend the privilage you have to RISK everything including your life. There is no way to play that game without the possibility of ultimate loss. If you are not willing to put your life on the line there is no opportunity to exact that price from the enemies of freedom.

I don’t like Gingrich or Romney – just more of the same. Paul has some good ideas but is 8-up on foreign policy. Perry has done well for Texas, but my choice would be Santorum – I wish he would gain some ground. I truly hope that we don’t end up with a strong 3rd party line Trump – he would split the vote and we’ll end up with “O” for another 4 years – then we are doomed. God help us.

God is trying to help people. Don‘t you understand that God doesn’t change? He doesn‘t change all through the thousands of years except on the account of the hardness of people’s hearts. Just like even a dad doesn‘t change his way of raising his children unless it be on the account of the hardness of the child’s heart. When I say “God is going to split America 1000 different ways, it’s not that God has split it, but that men (and those with devil dust) have built 1000 different walls, and when God comes with his one way “One light” of the Lord, then it will be as if people split 1000 different ways. Maybe you should truly understand the wisdom of the “Founding Fathers” in that their great idea was to build a nation without walls, in liberty, which would not get divided when that “One light” comes.

Got to say, I agree with you SergeantMajor. I’d hate to have to hold my nose and vote in the primary again, just like 2008. I really hate Obama and his politics of personal destruction. That’s how he got into office in the first place. I sincerely hope we do NOT get into a Perot situation again, too. A 3rd party split will ensure the man-child’s re-election and doom this country.
If it really comes down to it, I will pick Gingrich over Romney, because he’s been there and knows how to get things done. We, at least, will have Congress and the Senate (I hope) to block his more crazy ideas. Gingrich DOES say he will audit the Fed, abolish the EPA, and reform welfare.

I will be voting for Paul in the Republican primary. If he runs as a third party candidate in the general election I will not. That would only ensure another win for O.
