An American blogger has again claimed to have tricked a Transportation Security Administration’s full-body scanner by going through with a metal object hidden on the side of his body.
A video posted Wednesday on Jonathan Corbett’s “TSA Out of Our Pants!” blog appears to show him go through an airport scanner with the undetected object — all from the TSA’s very own security footage, said to have been obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. As Corbett prepares to go through the scanner in the video, a small object is briefly visible on the side of his body. Corbett’s video describes it as a “metal object in the handmade side pocket.” A few moments later, the footage shows him passing through the scanner and being allowed to leave without incident. The object would be on the opposite side of his body and is not visible as he exits the screening area.

Watch below:
As Corbett — who is currently suing the TSA over the use of the machines — explained in a similar video published in March, the key is that metal objects show up easily against the white image of a person being scanned, but blend into the dark background when hidden on the side:

From The Blaze’s March report on that first video:
Corbett’s video shows him sewing a side pocket into his clothing in which to carry a small metal case. The video then shows him, by way of a hidden camera in his luggage, approaching two different TSA checkpoints and then emerging on the other side with the case, apparently undetected. Because the camera went through a separate scanner in Corbett’s luggage, it does not actually show him walking through the full-body scanner with the case.
Watch the March video below:
Unlike in March, Corbett’s latest video does show him walking through the full-body scanner after having the object briefly visible on the side of his clothing, albeit without it visible after he went through.
When Corbett’s first video was published, TSA spokesman Greg Soule told The Blaze it was a “crude attempt to allegedly show how to circumvent TSA screening procedures.”
An emailed request to the TSA for comment on Corbett’s latest video was not immediately returned.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 8:27pmGermany banned the scanners because they generated too many false positives and required unnecessary pat downs. This isn‘t security it’s government invasion of our privacy and erosion of our rights.
Because of the 54% false positive rate and failure to detect hidden items 44% of the time approximately half of those using the scanners receive some form of pat down, adding 8 to 30 seconds to the process. All of the items found by TSA in 2011 were found on the x-ray belt and walk through metal detectors, not the scanners.
They also claimed the images were suitable for Readers Digest last year until the privacy software was installed on the millimeter wave systems.. In August Denver TSA area director Pat Ahlstrom, said the scans ” were graphic, no doubt about it.” The MMW scanners added a software overlay to hide the image shown to the public but the Rapi-Scan units continue to produce a naked image.
TSA isn’t paying for the scanners and abuse; taxpayers are, to the tune of $8 billion a year. We are paying TSA $8.88 per passenger to strip search old women, grope children and harass us at checkpoints.
Neither system has been demonstrated to be more effective than the metal detectors, and it’s disturbing that a government agency would sacrifice passenger privacy and put their health at risk to protect private manufacturers’ profits. There is an implication of corruption in this and needs investigation.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 5:18pmThe TSA was one of the “worst tactics implement by George W. Bush” and like anything that give a taxpayer check to people who would other be unemployable, you can be guaranteed future administrations will retain it as Barry Soetoro has done.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 4:18pmThe TSA being a federal organization has no territorial jurisdiction to do what they are doing
Per USC Title 28 chapter 5 “NOTES”;
Report Post »http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/28/part-I/chapter-5
“:Sections 81–131 of this chapter show the territorial composition of districts and divisions by counties as of January 1, 1945.”
The above referenced title and chapter delineate specific area’s that congress has exclusive TERRITORIAL jurisdiction over. United States territory can be further elucidated in the Northwest Ordinance of July 13, 1787
Conclusion;
The inclusion of Section 88 District of Columbia within the range “Sections 81- 131 of this chapter” makes the “territorial composition of districts and divisions” necessarily subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States of America. Consideration of the two sections that represent Alaska and Hawaii and the section that represents Puerto Rico confirms territorial composition of the districts and divisions to be limited to the territory over which the United States of America has exclusive jurisdiction.
The United States of America has exclusive jurisdiction over Washington, D.C. the seat of government, so the territorial composition of United States district court in the District of Columbia must be the entirety of Washington County. The rest of the Chapter 5 United States district courts would have districts whose territorial composition would be limited to the territory within the counties o

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 4:21pmcharacter limitations grr.. The rest of the Chapter 5 United States district courts would have districts whose territorial composition would be limited to the territory within the counties of the district subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States of America. The DA and the United States Attorney have concurrent jurisdiction over the same territory, but it is NOT the entire COUNTY.
territorial property can be a national park, military installation or federal enclave. Enclaves such as Federal buildings, including correctional facilities, federal court and federal office buildings, penitentiaries, post offices, and buildings such as National Institute of Health; the federal clinical research facility in Bethesda, Maryland, managed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services; and NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
From the above we can conclude that the UNITED STATES does NOT have jurisdiction at airports UNLESS the property is owned by or CEDED to the United States.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 3:01pmI won’t to go through those naked scanners, so I opt out. Two years ago, Instead of the usual pat down, I was molested in a private room where other travelers could not see me. Two different pairs of agents did a full body search on me twice and treated me like a criminal. I was completely humiliated. I was lied to about why they were doing it to me. One would do the exam while the other watched. I can tell you that I am not a criminal, nor do I do drugs. I am a middle aged woman with no record. I was on a mission trip/vacation. Don‘t think it can’t happen to you. Now, I just ask them upfront if they are going to molest me again. I wait for their answer because I refuse to go through that ever again.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 3:52pmThink that we need a state law making such “searches” illegal and then arrest the TSA agent and take him away in handcuffs. The Supreme Court a number of years ago ruled that if a Federal employee violates your Constitutional rights, then they lose their immunity. ACLU, where are you?

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 4:34pm65, We have a law that has been there since around the start of our country, the 4th amendment:
‘The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.’
I believe that nude scanners and pat downs to the genitals would fall under unreasonable in a travelling scenario.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that has even talked about this subject and the illegalities of it under the Constitution. But, in all our wisdom, we turn our backs on the Constitutionalist (even reported by Romney) to put someone in who agrees with having the TSA, the NDAA, the Patriot Act, and so forth. At a time when the Constitution has been ripped asunder, and our liberties have been stripped to almost nothing by progressives on both sides of the aisle, do we look to a candidate that is heII bent on getting us back to the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and Rule of Law? No, we look to the Goldman Sachs wonder boy just like we did in ‘08. It is amazing how messed up the people are when it comes to politics.

Posted on June 20, 2012 at 2:00pmThis is the land of the FREE and the BRAVE? Are you sure? I will not fly in the US anymore. If I have to I will go to Canada and fly from there.
I cannot believe how the BRAVE and the FREE Americans are allowing themselves to be treated like this. We should be ashamed of ourselves. We don’t even protect our children or elderly.
It is clear that we do not deserve this country. We are giving up our freedom one step at a time.
All in the name of (false) security.
Why are we more afraid of dying in an airplane then on a train or in the car?
Remember Russia, when terrorists locked down a theater? Or terrorists killing all these children in their school? Terrorists blew up a bus and trains? Remember the train in Spain?
Why are we so afraid when it comes to flying? Is it because the airplane can fall down?
We are really really stupid, people!!!
But I suppose it is natural. It started out with little things in Germany at Hitler’s time. To this day we ask: Did nobody see this coming? How come people allowed for all of that to happen?
Little by little people gave up their freedom. Until it was gone. That is where we are headed. Guaranteed!!!
In the end people are people. German or American, Italian or British. It does not matter. We are all willing to be led to the noose. Whether from terrorists or governments.
Why are we not standing together and boycott flying for one day. With lost revenue the airlines will help us fight against this tyranny. Y
