Posted on December 1, 2010 at 9:44amI doubt that would happen.. it seems there’s a disconnect between law enforcement and D,C. depending on WHERE you live.. I can see them gathering people in PROGRESSIVE cities like NY, LA and CHICAGO but than if you look at the stats for violence the police there can’t even catch the crooks when they KNOW who they are.. the military is over 80% conservative and mostly Christian and they wouldn’t allow themselves to look the other way when it comes to the citizens of the country they took an oath to protect EVEN though it was an order.. we are NOT China they do NOT take an oath to a person..

Posted on December 1, 2010 at 9:02amYes, he was trying to cause Mr. Van Jones some discomfort .. so what .. it was a public event .. lord knows, the progressives specialize in disrupting public meetings with confrontation .. what goes around comes around. I think we should organize a video squad to attend any and all of Van Jones public appearances .. but I do think it would prove more productive to NOT make our presence so obvious .. Van Jones is more likely to reveal interesting little points of view if he is NOT aware of recorders in the audience.

He was going to record the event which was free and open to the public – there apparently were no signs that recording would be prohibited and in fact there appeared to be people recording the event. The handlers thinking he was Fox News were the ones infringing on his right to record because I will submit to you they wanted to control the media that would come out of this. Other people were asking Van Jones questions at the end and this guy had a right to do so as well – of course his voice would come out louder, he is holding the camera, but that is only an illusion of shouting over people.

Posted on December 1, 2010 at 8:59amHave at least two people with cameras working as a team. One with the visible camera and a hidden microphone asks the questions. The second has the hidden camera and a wireless (probably bluetooth) connection to the hidden mic. If the person with the visible camera is hassled, the second can look at what’s going on from a distance and capture it.
Having a third, visible camera operator in close proximity to the first may be handy too. This person would begin recording the interactions with the thugs. If told not to shoot video of those interactions, just say “I‘m documenting this in case it’s another Rodney King”.
Last but not least, use cameras that stream their video to the cloud, so that if you’re told to delete the video of police brutality, or someone seizes/breaks your camera, they can’t stop the signal.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless this is completely exposed and Commies are treated like the criminals they are, the youth will never get it. They will be told for the next 200 years that they are in this mess because of the free market system. Then they will be told “if you stick with us you will have riches, love, peace and tranquility beyond belief…free HC, schooling and a place to sleep”. The youth will buy this lie from generation to generation and next thing you know the communists have taken over for good.

Far far too often, instead of seeing intelligent, prudent, and disciplined comments, I see very disturbing comments like the one for this article. Van Jones may be an opponent of liberty, but wishing him ill will, nay, fantasizing publicly for tragedies to fall upon him while mocking the ‘I have a dream’ speech puts you on the same path of perverting the values and ideals of America. I have to really wonder if these top of the article comments are being posted by individuals who really desire the restoration of America, or if they are being written by bottom up instigators. SND97, if you are really for restoring the values and ideals of America, figure out how to cut out the anger and ill will. If you have private hate of Van Jones, it undermines you, if you have public hate of Van Jones, you undermine us all.

Posted on December 3, 2010 at 1:02pmFolks…I am a conservative (really), but I am an alumni from Washington University and they are a Private University (not public) and the entire campus is private property. They have every right to limit videoing or taping on their property. Now I do disagree with the way Wash U handled this situation, but I also take issue on how the blogger here went about this in a very disrespectful and uncivil manner.
Note that the “policeman” is not state or local police…he is a campus policeman (rent-a-cop). See the WUPD on his hat.
Wash U folks please note that I am not proud at this moment to be a Wash U grad for: #1) allowing a avowed communist to be “placed on a pedestal” at my university and #2) advertising an event as free and open to the public and then treating the public in such a manner, no matter how they act. Free speech is free speech and as Wash U has the right to let someone like VJ speak, the rest of us have a right to ask questions and record this event.
