Bloody Brawl Ends Cincy-Xavier College BB Game

Heavy penalties are expected to be imposed by the NCAA to college basketball student-athletes from the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University, who were involved in a bloody brawl that canceled the final 9.4 seconds of the college basketball game featuring cross-town rivals. ESPN reports:
According to ESPN, officials from the Atlantic 10 and the Big East will review Saturday’s Cincinnati-Xavier fight and have the jurisdiction to hand out more penalties and could do so by Monday.

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 11:28pmI have stopped watching professional sports altogether once Rush Limbaugh was singled out as “racist” and not allowed to become owner of the St. Louis Rams. That moment opened my eyes to the racism that is now professional sports.
The only way to fix this is with hiring quotas to promote the under-represented racial groups.

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 3:16pmThere is a simple solution to fix this thug behavior in sports, both college and pro. Since pro players come from the college level, the fix comes there. Get rid the race question on the application for admission. Only go by facts on the application like GPA and SAT/ACT score. Race has no bearing. They only reason why it is used is to give a free pass to some inner city thug who has a 1.7 GPA and scored 12 on his SAT. Someone who has absolutely no business being in college is there due to the “free pass for the black dude” rule. Get rid of the race question on the college application. It has no business being on there to begin with. That will weed out all these “one notch above a prisoner” players on college teams. As a result, the pro leagues will naturally become more sportsman like as civilized people filter up to the pros from the college level. These universities put too much emphasis on sports and will do anything to get a good athlete. It doesn’t matter if that athlete is an alleged murderer, drug dealer, rapist, felon, etc. As long as he can get “dat der ball into dat der hoop” that’s all that matters to these colleges/universities. It’s time these universities raise the bar on their players. They need to only let in players who have the academic merit to go to college. Universities rely on sports way too much that they water down their academic reputation in exchange for a sports reputation and they will take unworthy students just to win.

So many blacks have taken on different attitudes, like they finally made it and are not going to take anything off of a white person, even though they create a lot of this stuff in their own heads. It really would have been better for them to chose a president who wasn’t such a demonic, hate filled racist. He’s unleashed some bad spirits in this world. Look at the middle east and what he’s done there. Pray for your country, pray those in the White House to be protected from what this man has released. It’s a symptom of the incompetent officiating and lack of league oversight in every sport. They let so many things go that SHOULD be penalized and give such weak penalties when they do actually take action that it leads to ever escalating retaliation until it gets out of control.
Every official before every game should gather all the players for both teams and let them know that nonsense will not be tolerated, and you will be ejected at the first sign of any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct.

The NHL brass is irrelevant, they aren‘t a legal authority they can’t decide whether someone is charged with a crime. The police can and have prosectued people for various assault related offenses in very severe incidents during sporting events.
The real answer is that if the victim is unwilling to press charges for the crime it’s almost impossible for the police to do anything. And no athlete wants to be seen as “that guy” that went to the police because of something that happened in a game.

They must have a lot of tolerance for violence in the NHL, players don’t even get fined for fighting and sending blood flying in all directions. They just get to sit in a penalty box for 5 minutes. Wonder what would happen if that was the norm outside of a hockey game…
The cops sure are fast to arrest people in domestic violence cases…whether or not the original person presses charges… and the State sure is fast to pick up the charges even if the victim refuses to cooperate… with the slightest of evidence…
I guess the decision in up to the police to decide what is “severe” enough to charge a person for assault (gigantic grey area). I wonder what would happen if they applied the same discretion to charging people with assault outside of a Hockey game for the same action? I mean, no guy wants to be the one saying he went to the police for getting punched in the face and getting his teeth knocked out in a street fight…

This is the reason why so much anger is building in whites towards most blacks; Not only are we being targeted and victimized SOLELY for being white, but the majority of blacks respond with the kind of non-sense you said rather than repudiate the actions and recognize the problem.
Blacks comprise roughly 13% of the US population, whites comprise roughly 73%, yet where are all the video’s of whites beating down blacks for NO reason….or ANY reason for that matter??? We’re seeing groups of up to 300 blacks attacking whites at County Fairs and it barely makes the news, and when it does, there’s no hint of it being racially motivated, despite dozens of witnesses stating the attackers were yelling racial slurs throughout.
And how many fast food beat-downs do you need to see with every single one of them consisting of one or more blacks beating up whites? Seriously, show me the evidence that whites are doing the same things on any level anywhere in the Country.
And let’s talk about horrible behavior beyond comprehension to most whites that the black community likes to call “flash mobs” where up to 100 black youth casually stroll into a business and simply take whatever they want.

UC players were taunting an X player in the media a couple of days ago. Not smart. I’m happy with the Xavier Musketeers win 76-53. BTW, Xavier students camped out last night (16 degees) to get tickets.

They were disappointed in the poor sportsmanship, as am I. College basketball should be won on skill and teamwork. It’s a letdown to have fights break out in a game.
