Boehner, Biden Caught on Camera Chatting About Golf ‘Round of the Decade’

Considering America’s epic financial constraints and the intense partisan bickering in Washington, one would assume that there would be little room for idle chit-chat and niceties between Democratic and Republican leaders.
But last night, in an intriguing dialogue, Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) proved this thought-process wrong.
Just before President Obama’s jobs speech, the two leaders greeted one another with an unexpected fondness and then launched into a conversation about golf — a subject that seems odd to be delving into just before an unprecedented, presidential policy speech.
Of course, there was one dig that Boehner was able to slip in. As Meredith Jessup reported on the blog:
Boehner can be heard taking a slight jab at Biden, noting how he is “one of those [Republican/Tea Party] barbarians,” Biden recently attacked during a Labor Day event with union workers. (It’s apparently becoming one of his favorite phrases.)
But this was at the beginning of the exchange. As it continued, golf, mixed with laughter, dominated the discussion. Boehner said (some outlets claim he “boasted”) that he had recently played his best golf round ever. He explained:
“One day I play great, the next day I play awful, but this was the round of the decade.”
Biden’s response? “That’s incredible.”
Considering the negative tone in D.C., it’s a wonder these two communicated at all. Their exchange was so positive, it leaves one asking: Are they actually friends?
Watch the back and forth, below:

I tell them the same thing every time, stop calling, take my number off the mailing list, I won’t donate a dime until full respect is given the tea party-supported members and the RNC dumps Boehner. The GOP is marginally better than the democratic-socialists and we didn’t get where we are economically without their complicity. Then I hang up or use their postage to return the letter. So you don’t have any friends or neighbors who are liberal? Do you not talk and joke around with them? You know, it’s normally liberals who would be this petty… Normally conservatives take the high road and not let business get in the way of civility or friendliness. Posted on September 9, 2011 at 2:06pmLet me explain what liberals/dems hate: They hate traditional America; they don’t hate the America that this country has become.
So, while they don’t hate America, Per se, they do in fact hate the America our side yearns for. There is no other explanation on why these anti-traditional-America types have destroyed this country; nobody can be that frighteningly stupid – nobody. Which then leads to the next most logical conclusion – the destruction was planned.
It can’t be any more obvious. I hope you wake up and smell what the Rock is cookin’.

“Here were sworn enemies, the leaders who beat the s— out out of each other all day in public, but the minute those doors closed for the state dinner, the daggers went away and it was one big happy family. I saw former Republican Sen. Bill Frist weaving through the tables, and he came over to Ted Kennedy and start massaging his shoulders and laughing like they were the oldest buddies in the world. Posted on September 9, 2011 at 1:48pmMany believe Boehner is a RINO, there is a lot he could have done back in December and many times since then, but he didn’t. He’s making the same huge mistakes as Bush did by going along with the Left and they always take advantage of those who go along with them. I guess he has to at least pretend to get along with them in order to come to terms on any agreements, but knowing the Left, that is like spitting in the wind. It will get them no where and Boehner should have learned this by now….especially from the mistakes Bush made with them. I think the tea party is right, we have to vote him out.
