Boehner Endorses Romney

House Speaker John Boehner has become the latest high profile Republican to endorse presidential candidate Mitt Romney, ending his neutrality in the GOP primary Tuesday, giving further confirmation that the general election matchup is set.
The Ohio Republican told reporters Tuesday that Romney’s proposals would “contrast sharply” with President Barack Obama, and the former Massachusetts governor would further economic policies that would help unemployed people find jobs.
Following the exit of former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum last week, Romney faces no remaining serious Republican primary challengers by way of delegates.
“It’s clear now that Mitt Romney is going to be our nominee,” MSNBC.com reports Boehner said at a press conference Tuesday morning. “I think Mitt Romney has a set of economic policies that can put Americans back to work and, frankly, contrast sharply with the failed economic policies of President Obama.”
“I will be proud to support Mitt Romney and do everything I can to help him win,” Boehner added.
Boehner joins prominent Republican leaders in the House who have endorsed Romney, as Majority Leader Eric Cantor backed the former Massachusetts governor shortly before Virginia’s primary, and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan gave his support before the Wisconsin primary.
The Associated Press reports that Boehner said he had withheld an endorsement until now because as chairman of the Republican National Convention in late August, he wanted to make sure that all the GOP presidential contenders had a fair chance to win.

Posted on April 17, 2012 at 5:18pmYou guys are unbelievable. If a Republican politician endorses Romney he is the “establishment”. And everybody is a RINO (except for Ron Paul, who is a LIBERTARIAN–not the same as conservative). I dare anybody to propose a “true” conservative. Each proposal would be met with a ton of responses telling how he was a RINO too.
Report Post »The only true conservative was Ronald Reagan.Except for the fact that he:
1. Raised taxes as governor–a LOT!
2. Was going to eliminate the Department of Education which Carter had just created, but didn’t.
3. Gave 6 million illegals amnesty.
4. Effectively raised the rate on high income individuals by lowering the rate but eliminating a ton of deductions (Yes, he also stimulated the economy, but that alone did not increase the tax revenue. They just didn’t have the write-offs they had before so they ended up paying more.)
Reagan was a great president, but by all your standards he is also a RINO and most of you would not be able to vote for him today. Please get a grip on reality.
BTW–You notice I didn’t call anybody names, so let’s all be civil. As the great philosopher Rodney King said, “Can’t we all just get along?”

Posted on April 17, 2012 at 4:54pmUhh QT are you sure about that? Might want to open your eyes and clean out your ears. “ANYONE BUT OBAMA” means they would prefer anyone over Obama. The lesser of two evils argument. Maybe you should get a brain yourself, or better yet, read a book on logic. You compromising sheep seem to be lacking in that department.

Let me give this a try. You’re on the verge of starving to death. There is a possibility of three things to eat and you have to eat one of them. There is a big juicy steak (Your favorite candidate), some stale bread (Romney) and a plate of dung mixed with crushed glass (0bama). Now you find out that you can’t have the big juicy steak so you will either have to eat the stale bread or the dung mixed with crushed glass.
The stale bread will keep you alive for another day so you can try for the steak next time. The crushed glass will cause you to die a slow, painful death so you won’t get another chance.
ANYBODY BUT DUNG AND CRUSHED GLASS! Get it now?

1. Romney is a left leaning moderate and his policies are not identical to 0bama’s.
2. As bad as that is, 0bama is much worse than just a Marxist.
