Boehner: Obama Showed Me ‘Disrespect’

Politico:

John Boehner thinks President Barack Obama is engaging, smart and brilliant but also remains smarted by the president accusing him of taking taxpayers hostage to secure a tax break for the rich.

In an interview with Leslie Stahl of “60 Minutes” for broadcast Sunday night on CBS, Boehner said Obama showed him “disrespect” by calling him a hostage-taker.

“Excuse me, Mr. President I thought the election was over,” Boehner said, according to a transcript obtained by POLITICO. “You know, you get a lot of that heated rhetoric during an election. But now it’s time to govern.”

Right on! They ought to man up and tell Obama “hey remember that tax deal…fo-get about it” Then, in 23 days, Boehner can enact permanent tax cut extensions without breaking his 2 week old pledge to cut spending.

The sweet part of this is that the dems can take the fall for the whole mess after Jan 1. No Tax extension then the stock market will tank. Boehner can come out and say “we told you so but you didn’t want to listen. You just wanted to do Obama’s failed policies”. It’ll be great. The dems will be howling and thats the sign you got em by the..um…you know.

Hear… hear… the reason being is that Obama is an undocumented alien, and illegal and still Americans elected him in a moment of Bush hatred frenzy or lapse of good judgment. Today however, America is waking up to this Kenyan Village Idiot’s shenanigans. It may be too late but I believe we can and should impeach this usurper commie Marxist and send him back to Kenya or Indonesia or wherever they might accept him before the total collapse of our capitalist system.

Spendthrift, It is sad but you are right. He has disrespected the United States, EVERY person who has given their life to defend our republic, and every citizen who loves this nation. Mr. Boehner, I guess this makes all the Red Blooded Americans who support the tax cuts hostage takers also. If it makes you feel better, when I showed up in Washington on 8/28 the Washington Post called me an activist. It’s the progressive way. Associate anyone who doesn’t agree with you with a negative. By the way, thanks Glenn, you are standing the gap Ezekiel 22:30.

YOU might find it hard to believe that there really is a Congressional Progressive Caucus so I went to their website and copied the information that follows. Ain’t the Internet Great. Read to the bottom and find your State to locate the Snake in your back yard.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) is the largest caucus within the Democratic caucus in the United States Congress with 83 declared members, and works to advance progressive issues and positions.[1]

The CPC was founded in 1991 and now has more than 80 members. The Caucus is co-chaired by Representatives Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) and Lynn Woolsey (D-CA). Of the 20 standing committees of the House, 10 are chaired by members of the CPC. Those chairmen will be replaced when the Republicans take control of the House in the 112th Congress.

    [edit] History
The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) was established in 1991 by six members of the United States House of Representatives: Representatives Ron Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Thomas Andrews (D-ME), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Then-Representative Bernie Sanders was the convener and first chairman. The founding members were concerned about the economic hardship imposed by the deepening recession, and the growing inequality brought about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response at the time.

Additional House representatives joined soon, including Major Owens (D-NY), Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

The CPC’s founding statement of purpose states that it was “organized around the principles of social and economic justice, a non-discriminatory society, and national priorities which represent the interests of all people, not just the wealthy and powerful”. The founding members underscored that the Cold War was over, and that the nation’s budget and overall priorities should show that. They called for cuts in outdated and unnecessary military spending, a more progressive tax system which places a larger portion of the tax burden on corporations and those with higher earnings, a substantial increase in federal funding for social programs designed to meet the needs of low and middle-income American families, and trade policies that increase the exports of more American products and encourage the creation of well-paying jobs and sound investment in America. They also expressed their belief that those policy goals could be achieved in concert with a commitment to long-term fiscal responsibility.

    [edit] Ideology
According to its website, the CPC advocates “universal access to affordable, high quality healthcare,” fair trade agreements, living wage laws, the right of all workers to organize into labor unions and engage in collective bargaining, the abolition of significant portions of the USA PATRIOT Act, the legalization of same-sex marriage, US participation in international treaties such as the climate change related Kyoto Accords strict campaign finance reform laws, a complete pullout from the war in Iraq, a crackdown on corporate welfare and influence, an increase in income tax rates on upper-middle and upper class households, tax cuts for the poor, and an increase in welfare spending by the federal government.

    [edit] Supporting organizations
The non-profit organization most closely associated with the Congressional Progressive Caucus is the American Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation which works to connect the caucus to progressives outside the Congress.

In addition, an array of national liberal organizations work to support the efforts of the progressive caucus, including the Institute for Policy Studies, The Nation magazine, MoveOn.org, National Priorities Project, Jobs with Justice, Peace Action, Americans for Democratic Action, and Progressive Democrats of America. Also co-sponsoring the kickoff event were the NAACP, ACLU, Progressive Majority, League of United Latin American Citizens, Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, National Council of La Raza, Hip Hop Caucus, Human Rights Campaign, Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs, and the National Hip Hop Political Convention.

    [edit] House members
All members are members of the Democratic Party or caucus with the Democratic Party. There are currently 82 total declared Progressives including 79 voting Representatives, 2 non-voting Delegates, and 3 Senators.

Thanks for the list. The CPC (if not Congressional Progressive Caucus, that could stand for Communist Party of Congress) is in error to say they believe in “tax cuts for the poor.” The poorest Americans don’t pay any taxes (except in states that have sales taxes), so what the CPC must advocate is “checks cut” for the poor, not “tax cuts” for them.

JUST A REMINDER to the Administration and Congress: Any declaration of Martial Law (which is contrary in all cases to the U.S. Constitution) WILL ACT as a Declaration of WAR against the American people, their liberties and their Constitution and will be met with deadly force opposition!

Any attempt at “suspending civil rights”: same thing!

To Boehner and the rest of the Republicans, never belive that the evilcrats and Obama understand them, like them or want to work with them. Obama is not intelligent, he has not surrounded himself with intelligent people and to expect any good to come from his idiology that would benefit America is insane. If the people we sent there can only compromise then we will throw them out on there asses in 2012 and we will also get to preplace another 1/3 of the Senate at the same time. Stand on the Wall – it ain’t easy to be an American and if you cant be a good one get out of our way – we have a Nation to rebuild and protect from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Obama, Holder, Pelosi and all members of the Progressive Democratic Caucus are truly enemies of the Freedom. Send them all home in 2012. That is Change that we need to make happen and I’m hopin we get er done. God Bless America and our Military that keeps us free.

Agree, The Charlatan isn’t a socialist, communist or Muslim. He is man with a deep hatred of this country. His agenda is to destroy everything this country has stood for in the name of social justice. He uses any group that meets that end. He will throw anyone under the bus that becomes a problem (Van Jones – Rev. Wright) Campaigning was what he did best but now that his magic is wearing thin you see a very angry man. Charlatan definition: A person who makes elaborate, fraudulent, and often voluble claims to skill or knowledge; a quack or fraud.

I keep thinking about Obama’s book Dreams FROM My Father. While he is an intelligent person, I often wonder if he is an emotional cripple. During those times in the early hours of the morning when he is alone, does he think to himself “Look, daddy, I’m doing what you wanted to do. I am going to bring these terrible capitalist countries of America and England to their knees along with all the other European countries. I hope you are proud of me. I’m trying so hard.”
Did we elect a true socialist or a little boy still trying to please his father?

What did you expect? He doesn’t just consider you a political opposite, he considers you and every other republican an enemy of his party’s agenda. Everything you stand for he loathes. This is why you and the Republican party need to grow a spine and stand up for your ideals instead of seeking compromise. We through them out of power in November, now grow a set and stand up for yourself and the country.

Let me propose a theory: The Democrats do not want bipartisanship–they want deadlock. They have set up a disaster, and now all they have to do is sit back and watch the fireworks. If they can keep congress locked down while chaos rages across the land, it gives Obama the excuse he needs to enact executive orders to take complete control of the country.

      Crazy Idea isn’t it?

Yes. Crazy. For your theory to have any validity WBA, it would require ballot rigging by the Democrats, this last November, to insure that they LOST the House ! Otherwise, there would be no need for bipartisanship and no deadlock……and no cause for ‘executive orders’.

This President is defining the 21st liberal and what they want in America; “totalitarianism”. The Democrat pary has been high jacked and will soon within 10 years be the “democratic socialist USA”. The Republicans must not continue with business as usual and defend themselves and the constitution as every instance. Our President has clearly stated his intentions, they should not be dismissed. He wants class warfare and division in this country while banking on the typical Republican response and choking big time on the solutions. Get with the program GOP!

At least he knows where he comes from and who he is representing. Not many in Washington can say that. I would say that he handled himself well, in the face of a reporter the was focusing his emotional state, and skin color as apposed to the issues facing this country and how he plans to fix the economy and keep We the people in charge.

Actually I believe that Obama believes every freedom loving, freedom seeking, American Patriot to be an enemy. It would take a LOT to convince me that he is not an Islamic plant and that his overall goal to the destruction of this nation and all it stands for. Unfortunately, whether that is true or not, we have too many progressive liberals trying as hard as they can to bring down that downfall of our nation ourselves.

Boo hoo. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. What a cry baby. I think Boehner has been in politics long enough to know that they are OPPOSITES: one is PRO-CAPITALISM and one is ANTI-CAPITALIST. The majority of Americans are PRO-CAPITALISTS, BUT, they would like to see some sort of reform for existing statutes and laws – NOT CREATE NEW ONES. Obama and his Marxist friends would like to see new laws, new reforms, SO HE CAN HOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HOSTAGE. So, I do believe that Obama is using WISHFUL THINKING that he could NOT pull off before the November election. He was close to doing that, but the American people have awakened – FINALLY!!!! Listen everyone, we CANNOT and WE MUST NOT relax or go back to sleep. We MUST stay vigilant because I believe the leftist libertards have much more up their sleeves because they KNOW their time is SHORT. Desperate times, desperate measures a leftist libertard once told me. When I asked what she meant, she said when you bowl, you shoot for all the pins. If one remains standing, you knock it down ANYWAY YOU CAN, EVEN IF IT IS NOT WITH THE BALL. I was so taken back by that, I told her that it would be the beginning of the end for her if she even tried that. She said it was worth it because SHE WAS PART OF A ‘CAUSE’ GREATER THAN HER. Of course, we are not friends anymore because I can’t be who she is, but I do knoiw what they are capable of because I was a Democrat all my life, but am now a Libertarian. PLEASE STAY VIGILANT. They have so much more under their sleeves that they are preparing for. If you do not have anything to protect yourselves, I suggest you get something and hide it and TELL NO ONE THAT YOU HAVE IT – NO ONE. They are preparing for a storm. She also told me once that she would use violence if she had to, just to make her point. These people are ruthless, evil, people. They are not Democrats really, only in disguise. They are evil, evil, evil people. If you do not believe it, just read their blogs if you don’t know one of these people. I knew several and neither had any ‘character’ whatsoever. It was all about me, myself, and I, (TO THEM) something WE, the American people allowed with BIG GOVT, ruthless politicians, and being asleep for so long. Please, please, please, keep vigilant. Something BIG, BIG, BIG is coming.

I like him, he is kinda of like Glenn Beck. Gets emotional, it‘s not when he’s talking about policies, or when he’s fighting for what he believes in, it’s when he is worried, depressed, saddened about the America that was. again, I LIKE him, I just don’t think he should be the leader of the Republicans and cry all the time. Doesn’t send the right message. People are more interested in watching him cry then listening to what is said. AND THERE is some important things to say. LIKE ABOUT THE FEDERAL RESERVE! I read the book Broke, LOVED it. Especially the constitutional ammendments Glenn Suggested. But I fear that the worse is still ahead of us, that‘s why I like Glenn buy Gold and Silver EXCEPT I’m not paying through the nose for it at GoldLine. I buy wholese through SecureGoldSilver.com

Why is it that the Republican’s are not listening to the people. We gave them another chance in November, but there are so many earmarks in this tax bill that it is disgusting. Did they not get the message that spending and earmarks are completely against what the American people want? Unless they take the high road, and stand up for what the American people want, stop the unbelievable spending, then they will be voted out in 2012. I am sick and tired of the whining and the complaining and lack of action to take control of our country and restore it to its previous greatness.
