    I’ve never heard him accused of being a rino. I do know he is against pork barrel spending and his record reflects it. He does not and has not pursued pork for his state. He is however surrounded by a few rino’s. I think he has character and is a principled man. He can withstand the pressure, especially with the support of a new crop of conservative congressman.

    What a great american, we need an army of great americans who are humble of heart and willing to get the job done. Smaller govt, lower taxes and more liberty. I pray they have the courage and fortitude to stand. The opposition will be strong. May God bless all the newly elected candidates. May God grant them wisdom to serve and strength to stand.

      Yes, I do. I’m not fond of crowd activities. The tea party events I attended had us all shouting “our own thing”. They were great.

      Let’s keep it that way. Countless voices shouting for liberty, none in unison. I’m so down with that. (seriously, I am). :)

      Totally agree. I couldn’t help but cry watching his speech and thanking God for a leader so moved by his love of America and the American dream. I’m not comparing him to Reagan but it evoked the same emotions as when I watched President Reagan give speeches when his love for this country got the better of him. God bless him and God Bless the U.S.A.

      She doesn’t care, I doubt it registers. In her mind, she is simply retiring. She is a person who does not live in reality at all. I‘m so damned glad she’s out of power now.

    Isn’t Boehner a RINO? I’ll give him a chance, I may be misinformed on his record, but if he goes wobbly, replace his ass in an instant. There is no room for compromise with these statists, the last thing we want is the “old” GOP back in power. We have a 2 year fight ahead of us, never let them think that they’re comfortable (our folks), always keep them on their toes.

    Our children’s future depends on it (seriously, it does, I hate being melodramatic, but it’s the truth).

      I watched the House debate on CSPAN on cap and trade, at least the leaders’ points on the bill. Boehner spent 30 or so minutes with charts and fearfully apt explaination on how the bill would make industries, especially the energy industry, pass the cost on to consumers. 30 minutes. Explaining. Then It was nancy’s turn. Verbatum, her part of the debate: “I have only three words for you! ‘Jobs, jobs, jobs!” And that was it. THAT WAS IT. Now. All of you reading this who may be disappointed in the speakership’s change of leadership, ask yourself…”WTF??”

      I beg you not to believe in me. Look it up for yourself. And after you see, you tell me who you would rather have as 3rd in command of the nuclear football.

      @Tea Bagging Patriot….
      Normally i wouldn’t respond to such a childish, condescending post as yours, but I feel one is in order here.
      As a marine, i respect ALL American’s right to free speach, but as YOUR particular speach is inflamitory and punitive, I will now act to smack your insolent little boy hands in response. Obviously, you have NEVER felt passionate enough about anything to be emotionally moved by it, only responding in ways that daddy or mommy felt were “what a man does” in certain situations. Yes, although you were being a smartass, a REAL MAN does feel emotion, and cries when caught in a truely inspiring situation as Boehner was. Something you were obviously beat into thinking was wrong to do. A REAL MAN knows when something he has faught for his entire life, the PRESERVATION and CONTINUITY of the American Constitution, is within his grasp to not only DEFEND, but to REBUILD, That said man is gonna be brought to tears. NOW. I know in your pathetic excuse for a vision of the United States you see weakness in a child’s sense of the word, but try to see the world in a REAL MAN’s eyes for once, and see that this GREAT MAN weeps for the opportunity at salvation of what he holds dear, not as a thetrical or opportunistic goal of aspiration.

      Anyone who has had it really hard getting to the top–like Boehner with his struggles–and Beck with his personal struggles, have experienced a lot of pain. Some people let the pain make them hard. Some become better through it. For Boehner and Beck, the pain has never gone away–and the memory of that pain often brings tears. But that pain also leaves something else as a gift:. Humility instead of arrogance. Yesterday was a victory for humility–and faith, hope and charity–and the greatest of these . . . is charity (love).
