Bomb Squad Descends on Rush Limbaugh’s Home After Mysterious Package Arrives From Fan

PALM BEACH, Fla. (The Blaze/AP) — Authorities say a suspicious package sent to Rush Limbaugh’s South Florida home was not dangerous or hazardous.
Instead, police say the item investigated Thursday turned out to be an electronic plaque sent by a listener of the radio talk show host’s program as a “business opportunity” for him. It concerned the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth.
A Palm Beach police spokesman said during a news conference the package was delivered late Thursday afternoon. When it was screened by an X-ray device, staff members saw what appeared to be wires and called police. The Palm Beach Post reports that a sheriff’s office bomb squad went to the home to investigate the package.
“Some type of a plaque that was electronic in nature. Something to do with the assassination of President Lincoln and John Wilkes Booth,” Palm Beach Police Department Spokesperson Fred Hess told WPTV.
“Something about selling this product. Apparently it was a sample sent, according to the sender, to Mr. Limbaugh saying ‘Here’s an opportunity and maybe we can market something like this, ‘ ” Hess added.
The sender apologized when investigators contacted him. His name is not being released since he didn’t commit a crime.
Limbaugh was home during the incident.

Seems routine procedure to me.But Rush should be willing to pay for the costs of bringing in the bomb squad and such,if this happens on a regular basis.

The same thing occurs with states wanting to making toll roads out of existing Interstate Highways.
Federal funding paid for those and so long as states are getting federal funding those roads should have top priority from that money in the budget. If there is not enough money cuts need to be made elsewhere. Dont be scammed on this.

I know, the main thing is that this could be a case of one distributor doing something stupid; it could be a ‘message’ sent by a nut-case, or indeed an intimidation attempt by the unions, left, or others in the administration.
Right now there is not enough solid information for me to jump to a conspiratorial matter; I have to wonder how many people will auto-jump onto the ‘everything is a conspiracy’ part when the facts are not fully known yet.
With this admin, and their unlimited detention/assassination of US citizens decrees; I will never put anything past them – history is indeed filled with too many abuses of such authority.
