Bombshell: Gingrich‘s Ex Accuses Him of Asking for ’Open Marriage’

Brian Ross, ABC’s chief investigative reporter, told WMAL-RADIO’s “Morning Majority” program that the bombshell news set to be released by Marianne Gingrich is that  her ex-husband wanted an “open marriage.”

“He came to her and said, ‘I want to stay married to you and still have an affair with Calista, his current wife,” said Ross. “According to Marianne, he said ‘You need to share me,‘ and she said ’I don’t want to share,’ and the marriage ended,” he added.

ABC released an excerpt from the interview on Thursday morning:

Ross apparently scored the interview last Friday in Washington, D.C. after going back-and-forth about it since November.

Although he cautioned that some things ex-wives say should be taken with a “grain of salt,” that doesn’t make the news any less dramatic.

“She talked about how he called her and told her he loved her, knowing that Calista was next to him in bed in their apartment in Washington,” Ross said.

Look….we have to see this for what it really is. A distraction. Obama cannot run on his record and as long as jobs and the economy are weak and sluggish Obama‘s mouthpieces will do everything they can to smear and distract from Obama’s abysmal record. I don’t care how many wives Gingrich messed around on..I know his record in Congress and it’s a good one. His job performance is what I care about. Obama has a record now also…and it’s not a good one. So VOILA…bitter ex-wives to distract the American people from what’s truly important to us right now. Don’t fall for it, don’t buy it, keep Obama’s feet to the fire.

I don’t care about the pattern. Fact is, I have a principle. That is, if I’m unwilling to accept something a Democrat does on moral grounds, I‘m not going to accept it out of a Republican just because he’s a Republican.

That said, the Clinton Rule of Thumb is in play. “If his own wife can’t trust him, how the hell can I?”

If anyone can answer that question, I’d be willing to listen. Hit me up on Twitter.

Right. And what about Herman Cain and those who accused him of groping a woman in his car. I believe that was false, but the powers that be and you folks out there, hounded him, judged him, and tried to destroy him JUST ON SOMEONE ELSE’S SAY SO.

I have ALWAYS had a problem with Newt because ANY person, who can keep repeating the same moral mistakes, should not be trusted. Yes, his personal life has everything to do with his political life. WHAT HASN’T HE TOLD YOU? WHY DOES HE TAKE MORALITY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT? DO WE REALLY WANT SOMEONE IMMORAL AS PRESIDENT? This universe AND mankind IS and WAS based on moral principles, NO MATTER WHETHER YOU AGREE OR NOT. There is RIGHT AND WRONG, no matter whether you tag it as RELIGION or ATHEISM DOING THE RIGHT THING. RIGHT AND WRONG ***IS*** MORALITY – period.

Now, true, NO ONE IS PERFECT, but what I look at is THE PERSON’S RECORD, in his personal life and in his political life. Newt’s STAINS do not wash away that easily, just because he is running for President, yet you people seem to believe that BECAUSE he answers questions so eloquently and with SOME TRUTH, that he should be a viable GOP candidate. HOGWASH.

Personally, I do not like any of the candidates – PERIOD, but if I had to choose, it would have been Michelle Bachmann. Now, there is a BELIEVEABLE and MORAL candidate, WITH EXPERIENCE. But, NO, you all judged her because of her outspoken moral beliefs. You are all idiots and BLIND.

      Let’s look at something here:

Perry rises in polls – media starts reporting about a rock with a racial slur on it somewhere on a 30,000 acre ranch where he hunted two decades ago.
Cain rises in polls – media starts reporting unfounded claims by anonymous women who said he sexually harassed them.
Santorum rises in polls – media starts reporting how Santorum spent time with his still born child before burying him.
Paul rises in polls – media starts reporting how a paper he was loosely associated with contained a supposedly racist article in it a couple of decades ago.
Gingrich rises in polls – media drags out his ex-wife to show what a horrible person he is.

      See a pattern?

Let’s look at something else here:

Obama has an affair with Larry Sinclair, fellow drug addict – silence by the media.
Obama gets sweetheart real estate deal for his house in Chicago from convicted felon in exchange for political favors – silence by the media.
Obama starts political career in home of a domestic terrorist – silence by the media.
Obama spends 20 years in a “church” that preaches hatred of white people and the destruction of America – silence by the media.

      See another pattern?

Newt’s Lies, Adultery and Hypocrisy may be explained away by people like Perry and others who say nobody is perfect, but every time this issue comes up with Newt his automatic default position is to hide behind his grand children. It makes me sick that he abuses his relationship with these children to politically pivot the conversation and eyes of America on them and away from the issue. He instead should just flat out say he has extreme life long character flaws. Now he is sixty-eight years old and needs Viagra he continues to infer that his openness has simply put this life long habitual deceit behind him. Newt needs to keep his grand children out of the middle of his excusing his past.

History is repleate with men and women) who have had paramores while ruling a country or running a large business. As long as it doesn’t interfer with that administration i for one will not worry about. This not to say I condone this behavior indeed I condemn it but I also realize humans are weak. This is in reality old news and should br relegated to the dust bin of history. Hopefully Callista will be able to restrain Newt’s wilder ideas and statements As for Newt his two biggest assets are alo his two biggest liabilaties. The first is he gets ideas some are good some are terrible he needs to bounce his ideas off trusted aids be fore he articlates them. The second is is when he tries to explain an idea he needs to again run his explaination past some trusted aids first. He also needs to keep his temper in check

I am surprised that all the people who keep up on things didn’t already know that Newt left his former wife on very bad terms. It was a long time ago and I remember that Reagan also left his wife too. Jane Wyman was not happy with Reagan either. We all agree that divorces are hard on everyone involved but they are unfortunately a part of life for most people these days.

Bill Clinton raped a woman, used his power to force sex upon another woman, lied to a federal judge over it, and made a game out of getting a BJ from under his desk while in the Oval office. Does anyone get my drift?

      SGTB:
You were right until you got to the Ron Paul part. If you are NOT a Christian, then I can see your feelings toward Ron Paul. He has a lot of great principles EXCEPT ONE. He is not a Christian with the word of God in his heart, because if he were, he would KNOW that Israel IS God‘s chosen people and to not support Israel is to incur God’s wrath, which means that WE WILL BE A DOOMED NATION, WITHOUT GOD’S DIVINE PROVIDENCE, if Ron Paul gets elected as President. Need I say anything more??? OK. How about:
Genesis 12:3 says God promises Abraham: “‘I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you’” (NIV).
Why bless Israel? When God made the covenant with Abraham, He spoke the following, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” – Genesis 12:3. God was not only referring to Abraham as an individual, He was also referring to Abraham’s descendants, which are the Jews. Therefore, we are commanded to not only bless the physical nation of Israel in the Middle East but to also bless all Jews throughout the world. When God made His promise to Abraham, He also made a promise to the entire world that He would bless anyone that blesses Israel.

So, go ahead and support someone WHO WILL NOT SUPPORT (BLESS) ISRAEL and you are ASKING FOR GOD’S JUDGEMENTS AGAINST THE REST OF US.

I’ve seen a lot of comments here calling Newt an adulterer. And yes, by his own adminissions, he WAS an adulterer. He has also stated, (and proven I believe over the last number of years) that he has had a “coming to Jesus” moment since he conversion to his new faith.

Now, as Christians we are all supposed to believe in forgiveness and in the power of the Lord in someone’s life to change them…to wipe the slate clean. Either you believe this basic Christian article of faith, or you don’t But ask yourself if you are prepared to judge Newt with the assurance that you too will be judged, and you too will be evaluated upon what you did after you “repented” and chose to follow Christ.

Newt to me seems to be the new man that he claims to be. I may be wrong, but I have seen enough evidence to substantiate his claims, and will obey my Lord and forgive his past mistakes, which he has openly admitted. What you do is your own business…and you can take it up with God when your time comes as to whether or not forgiveness is only applicable to you personnally or if even a sinner like Newt can be forgiven and can change their ways, and find the Path to righteousness.

That is what we have to look forward to if Mitt Romney is selected as our Candidate for the GOP. I have already heard today that there is a church in south Carolina that will not vote for Mitt. The LDS church must be in a tizzy to try to get the first Mormon president elected that they have Glenn basically ruining his career for the cause.

You can‘t say you would vote for Santorum but basically soft soap Romney and slam anyone who get’s near him in the polls. You say your for the people “THE PEOPLE WANT GINGRICH” because we know what he’s done, while in office. Regardless what he says (while giving a speech) about former presidents. If Newt was “asking his wife’s permission”, he would have done it BEFORE he started getting it on with Callista. But he didn’t do that, he did it AFTERWARD.

They have a word for that in the ‘open marriage’ community: “Cheating”.

Newt is simply not trustworthy, and this just stacks on top of what we already knew about him.

He articulates conservative principles well, but that doesn’t mean he believes what he is saying. He “flip-flopped” on the person who trusted him most, twice.

A lot of people are saying things like “let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” but this isn’t just about sin. This is about character and integrity.

You don’t have to go into his personal life, however, to see his character; as Speaker, he was charged with 84 counts of ethics violations. He is one of just 36 Congressmen in history to be censured. He ended up resigning in shame, after losing 5 seats in the 1998 midterms.

Now, how would Newt govern as president? The best way to know this is to know which presidents he looks up to: FDR and Woodrow Wilson. Go look them up and see what you’ll be getting when you vote for Newt.

Gingrich for president. The lamestream media is trashing Newt for “historical” baggage. All politicians have baggage if we dig deep enough, but the lamestream/left socialists won’t expose democrats, they love the big zero/Obama. Newt has made his mark with his “Contract with America,” a contract he fulfilled that no other politician can match. He is a true conservative, and gaining in the polls. He also now has the support of the Palin family and Rick Perry. We need this man to bring back our country into prosperity. However, I will vote for anyone who runs against the Obama regime.

AND Brian Williams, you are a trashy lamestream media journalist. Why can’t you see what Obama has done and is doing to our country? Why do you support a man who shows no experience and is bankrupting our country with his social justice policy, bailouts and lies that he hides behind.

He produced a fake birth certificate, he has refused to show his college records and none of his college friends remember him. Remember the anti-Christ has no records, and neither does Obama. Is this a striking resemblance or what? Tell your lamestream slimy journalists to stop the trashing of every republican starting with Newt Gingrich. Newt’s “not getting involved”? The problem is he IS involved! Kind of reminds me of when Anthony Weiner no longer wanted to discuss his predicament… “I have nothing more to say. I’ve got to get back to my office”…

Newt Gingrich is ethnically challenged to say the least and quite the philanderer… From wife number one to wife number two to wife number three… Worse, an “open” marriage? What does this say about the man’s character? Then to go after President Bill Clinton for cheating on his wife while cheating on his own? A dishonest hypocrite too!

How on earth can we trust a man like this? If Newt could live a lie with his second wife for six years, what else is he capable of lying about?

I listened to Glenn again today rip on Newt for his past sins and bad judgement. It is hypocritical coming from a man who has admitted to snorting blow of h@@kers, cheating on a spouse and once firing an employee for bringing him the wrong pen! Glenn talks about the power of redemption and forgiveness when one repents and finds The Lord, but apparently doesn’t believe it is possible for anyone but himself. Perhaps true redemption can only come via the golden plates…

I for one am willing to accept Newt at face value when he says that he is a changed man. He still has a brilliant mind and the know how to make some serious conservative changes in Washington DC.

The media however will beat this thing to death and this could become an electability issue in the General election. There will be women coming forward ala Herman Cain, drip, drip, drip. Even though the media gave Clinton a pass for worse in ‘92, they will excoriate Gingrich.

As it was in the beginning, in the end it will probably Mitt. I am cool with that, but we will have to really keep him honest and hold him to conservative principles. Sending a few more TEA Party members to DC to keep an eye on him won’t hurt either.

No BUCK SHANE..I‘m saying don’t take the lefty bait. Gingrich is a converted catholic and has taken communion. Under church doctrine he’s been forgiven his sins before God. His family has rallied around him. Redemption and forgiveness are lost on you? If he‘s a filanderer today he’s hiding it very well. Bitter exes with an axe to grind aren’t unique by the way. You think it’s a coincidence that democrat lap dog network ABC is airing this intervew now? Pundits have predicted this will be one of the dirtiest campaigns in living memory because Obama has an abysmal record and can do not much more than smear, distract and lie. Lo and Behold…a bitter ex of a GOP candidate with an axe to grind shows up right before an important primary, fancy that huh? Is all this a consideration for you or are you going to stick with “bad Newt for shame”? The most important thing in this nation’s future right now is to expell Barack Obama from office. If he wins, America loses, make no mistake. The lap dog media won‘t report Obama’s dirty past and will shield him as much as they can, we know that much.

      To @LEFTFIGHTER:
Dear strong-principles-bearer, as you might know (despite the terrible educational system), many dreadful dictators were exemplary husbands. Hitler was one of such individuals. The obama seems to be an another one.
If you dive in history even deeper, you’ll find that many terrible husbands were exemplary leaders. (For the brevity sake, I let you fill up the list by yourself.)
The real problem for such “purists” as you seem to want to present yourself is that you can’t apprehend that the sexual (both matrimonial and extra-matrimonial) relations are ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARILY reflect the civic and political merits simply because these are phenomena of DIFFERENT NATURE.
The civic and political merits are rooted in public spirit of an individual, his/her ideology; sexual habits are rooted in biology.
And these two realms are far from always are bound together.

But I am afraid that, even though you proclaim that you are a Conservative, with your narrow mindset you’ll actually vote for the 2nd term of the most disastrous president of this country.

Avengerk has a valid point with the various candidates rising up only to be taken out by some amateur hour smear campaign shortly thereafter. The really sad I thing all to frequently on this board is this…if Newts character flaws cannot be cgancged then why is he still married to Callista ? This all ahppened over 20 years ago, he paid a heavy price for his sins/transgressions and is now actively seeing his redemption through by doing something possitive with his life. A second chance folks…I think Newt deserves some praise for turning what used to be a bad person and and life around 180 degrees….GB did the very same thing and yet I do not hear anything about GB being tarred with the same brush Newt is being hammered with. I think it has more to do with pllitics than facts….some of us here are using this oppirtunity (just like the other ops were exploited) to whittle BHO’s oppinents down to the least effective GOP candidate possible (in terms of conviction to turn around the BHO legacy). Think about redemption and what it means to forgive and stop being so high and mighty. Every man/woman who truly turns his/her life around deserves a second chance.

Are people here really that dense and don’t know how to vet?

Newk is CINO – Catholic in Name Only! He has flip flopped his position on when life begins!

On Dec 2, 2011, Newk said that life begins at successful implantation!
Tapper: When do you think human life begins?
      Newk: Implantation and successful implantion.
      http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/12/gingrich-breaks-from-some-in-anti-abortion-community-on-when-life-begins/

3 days later, on Dec 5th, when he saw that that stance hurt his chances of a win, he flip-flopped and LIED about flip-flopping!
Newk: “As I have stated many times throughout the course of my public life, I believe that life begins at conception.”
      http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/197179-gingrich-reverses-position-that-life-begins-at-implantation

This guy is a serial LIAR! He says one thing for political expediency but believes the total opposite. His voting record if proof positive that he is a CFR globalist who wants to do away with AMerica’s border and get the North American Union up and running. That is what NAFTA is all about AND his ideas on amnesty.

Even Palin has fallen for this globalist pig telling me she has stepped in the slime too much and is now muddied.

There is only one person I will give my vote to. I am voting for Liberty, economic sovereignty and our Constitution. He is the only candidate who could and would beat Obeyme. And that is why he has been blacked out and disrespected by the LSM.

My God I wish Obama got 1/10th the vetting the GOP routinely see… read the link in the first post folks…it spells out just how rotten the DNC and the Chicago machine has become. It seems to me Chicago style politics has been adopted as Fed DNC strategy and yet folks are outraged by Gingrich for something he did 20 years ago ? How about what Obama and Axlerod have done from 2004- present ? Obama’s entire plitical career has been a sham and criminal farce. I suggest anyone wanting to know just how bad this bunch are read Michelle Malkin’s book “Culture or Corruption”…you will be flabbergasted by it…making what Newt did seem like a choir boy prank in comaprison (although I do not see it as such in real terms, he made a huge mistake but he has paid for it IMHO and will pay for it for the rest of his life). I can give him a second chance.
But to give Obama and crew a complete pass considering just how sordid his past has been is downright , well , criminal IMHO. We should be tearing BHO and his handlers apart folks (with facts and his putrid track record). As Levin says I’d vote for a glass of orange huice ahead of Obama…..keep the big picture in perspective and forget the infighting…it serves no ones purpose other than the DNC and Axlerod’s re-elect Dumbo team by tying us up in knots and portraying us as incapable of leading (sinbce we can;t even agree on who should do what to whom). You can never believe an ex-wife. My brother in law’s ex has repeatedly said horrible things about him but everyone that knows him knows the truth. She treated him horribly. He worked all of the time to support her and she never cleaned or cooked and cussed him every day. He has finally found someone to treat him nice like he deserves. The way I understand it was that Newt had an affair with the second wife while was married to the first. She knew he was married and didn’t care. I do not feel sorry for someone that does that. But most of all, we have all made mistakes and asked God for forgiveness and he does. So who are we to judge anyone else. The main thing is Newt will be able to start turning this country back around on the first day because he is experienced and the smartest man running.

Are you better than God? Read Romans 2:1-5. You say Judge Paul also by saying he hasn‘t got God’s word in his heart. Maybe, maybe not but who made you anyone’s judge?

The facts are that Newt’s own daughters by his ex, support him and this was done in vengeance. The woman needs to get counseling to overcome the wound and learn to forgive. Doesn‘t mean she has to forget but forgiveness doesn’t slander or take vengeance. She needs healing. Newt needs or needed it, sought it and got it through God. End of story. Period.

They are one of the finest families we have ever known, and their integrity is beyond reproach.

have you heard Beck talk about Romney? He tears him apart.

My thoughts on this is that if a woman is bitter enough to tear her ex husband apart on a national platform, she is not to be fully trusted. I’m sure their relationship was bumpy but for her to tear him apart like this says a lot about the person she is. She’s incredibly bitter, resentful, and wants him to fail. We can only ask what was she really like when they were together……………………………………

The post truly reflect the moral decay of this nation. It reflects the utter disrespect of human life, integrity, compassion and honor; and substantiates self-absorbance, ego, and alll things detrimental to positive human evolution and development. As I said before, this man is a narcissist, and the only thing that cures narcissism is a diaper, or a wheelchair, or a hospice…and even then they may still be demanding.

Think about it people, Grinch left his first wife with cancer and the second wife with MS and each time he was involved with an affair. I think the second wife has a great understanding of “karma”; but the issue is this man will bolt when things become to much of a challenge.
He has proven he can not manage his personal life, he has proven he can not manage his elected life,….and yet people are STILL considering voting for this man to keep his finger on the button, and to delegate authority to others in his cabinet.
Now Perry backs him. Perry’s governance is reflective of his grades at A&M… he kcks the can down the road…he’s had every opportunity to close the border but uses political manuevering (not to spoil his latino vote in Texas) and blame it on Obama.
The US Government is a business, dont kid yourself. Those of you who do not select Romney need to evaluate your personal selcetion process. If your not voting for this guy because of his religion, you need to remember this Mrs Grinch’s story:

      we reap what we sow.

The only reason his Mormon religion decided to stop with polygamy and plural marriages is because in 1862 the United States Congress passed the Morrill Act which prohibited plural marriage. Now I’m not saying that what Newt may or maynot have done (after all, it IS his Ex-wife saying so), is a wonderful thing, but I look to his experience and vision for righting the Country and setting us back on course to being the econmic engine of the World. I believe he can and will do that as President.
Whereas, Romney may be able to manage the Country better than the current officeholder, I don’t see him expressing a vision that will lead the Country back to greatness. I would still vote for Romney in a NewYork minute before not voting.

OK, I don’t condone married men having affairs, but I also don’t condone women having affairs with married men. Where is the blame placed? I also don’t like our leaders lying, cheating and stealing from the public or being involved with all the horrid corruption that goes on in Washington D.C.
Which is worse? Place blame on one sin and not another? What gave you the right to decide?

We literally gave a pass to Clinton, Jack Kennedy, LBJ, FDR, and of course Teddy who let a woman drown so she wouldn’t throw a monkey wrench in his dastardly deed. Also, didn’t Edwards cheat and worse with a wife sick with cancer?

None of us are perfect, with the exception of Jesus. We all sin and come short of the Glory, but let’s be real. All of us sin in many ways, not just the cheating. Plus, is it for us to decide whether or not Newt did repent and change his life, or is that for God to decide? If God forgives, so do I.

If the MSM were fair to all, they would expose some of the things many of us know about Obama.

It’s not ours to reason why and accuse only the ones that might spoil the corrupt systems choice.

Was Gingrich ever running on his strong moral character? No: he was running on a strong fiscal background, years of public office experience, and a willingness to play dirty to beat his opponents… GOP or Obama.

This doesn’t change much for me, personally; I was never going to vote for this guy. Out of the three strategies listed above, none of them do much for me (even his fiscal experience is making the government bigger and pandering to lobbyists… bleh). Romney also can’t win when he will be playing into the same flip-flopping out of touch rich dude that the MSM will drum happily and that the HATED Bush used against Kerry. If I have learned anything from Glenn is that history repeats itself. For all people who want to judge Gingrich harshly need to read in their Bible about King David who had favor with God. He had his best friend killed so he could have his wife yet his blood line was chosen to bring forth the Messiah. No man is perfect and God warned when his people demanded a king that mans nature would give us leaders with flaws. Whoever is the nominee should be supported to slow down our race to the left and tyranny but Newt’s debate performances and record of being able to be effective in D.C. are far more compelling than Romney’s record. Besides Gingrich’s sins are of a private nature and the MSM is already painting Romney as a fundamentalist Mormon which the left and independents have polled as having a problem with (which is in their bigoted nature)

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman, ‘ for she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh

The only thing that would hurt Newt with this is an “Anthony Weiner” moment where some tape or photo might surface. Other than that..people are savvy…they know how ex-wives can get. Come on man..she kept his name for goodness sake..how credible is she?

      ROMNEY2012:
Well stated. I am a devout Christian, who AT ONE TIME found fault with Mormons. However, because I dug deep, and I mean VERY DEEP into God’s word, I was able to discern the difference between morality and religious doctrine. Most people who find fault with Romney’s religion are fools. They too, believe in Jesus Christ being the Son of God, but their practices are a bit different.

I believe that we should put aside our differences as BELIEVERS IN GOD AND HIS SON JESUS, and come together and unite in faith. While I do not care that much for Romney, at least HE IS A MORAL MAN, even though he is a SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE (his record proves this in Massachusetts). However, I would choose a moral man over an immoral man (Newt).

I do believe Romney will be the chosen GOP candidate. Ron Paul will be the next one to drop out, then Newt. I think if Romney stays in, Obama will be defeated.

BELIEVERS IN GOD‘S HOLY WORD SHOULD UNITE BEHIND A MORAL CANDIDATE AND WE’D BETTER DO IT NOW.

NEWT GINGRICH IS AN IMMORAL ADULTERER.

I think you misinterpreted my meaning then. I wasn’t commenting on the cheating, but the concept of an open marriage. LDS was founded with a principle of polygamous marriage; it’s not a secret at all.

For that fact, polygamy was commen in the Old Testament, so we could argue ALL of Christianity was founded on the same (though Jesus set the record straight).

Your incorrect concerning LDS being founded upon Polygomy. I’m certian you know that.
3% of the church practiced the principle from 1848 to 1860ish, and it was a calling to do so. Very few practised between 1838 and 1844. However when Governor Lilburn W Boggs signed his extermination order against the Mormon’s on Oct 28th, 1838, Im certain the LDS found it conveinent to move on-to Illinois with this provision, considering then it was against the law to live with another woman other than your wife at that time. This wasn’t done for illicit acts, this was done to sustain the church and yes, we believe it was called of God. This also saved many lives in Illinois, Missouri and later in the newly rugged country of unsettled Utah…but you would be required to study to find this for yourself.
But, I’m certain you know all this…

      @SENSI:
Regarding all of your posts, actually.
What makes Newt’s apparent infidelity news, is that he is the exception that proves the rule. The list of unfaithful Democrats is too lengthy to recount here, but off the top of my head; ANY Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jesse Jackson, Clinton, Condit, Edwards, Hart, Spitzer, Weiner, McGreevey….
And those are from memory. The great difference is that when conservatives discover a case of despicable behavior, they condemn it and flush the miscreant from their ranks, which is what is happening with Newt, in case you have missed it.
Democrats, on the other hand, often defend, embrace, reward, and nurture degenerate behavior. Could there be a scene more repugnant than the party held in the Rose Garden after the impeachment of Clinton? Maybe. Barney Frank has been an almost non-stop landscape of misbehavior, and yet is the darling of the Dems.
I reiterate, a misbehaving Republican is news, a misbehaving Democrat is, well…, what is expected. It is just in their nature, both socially, politically, and morally.

He paid the high tax rate on his income he then took that money and invested it and made money so why should have to pay the high income tax rate twice? If you earned 100 dollars and paid 35 to the government and invested the remaining 65, why would it be fair to pay another 35% on the same money? He apid 15% in addition to the 35%.

Ya know, The “let he who is without sin, cast the first stone” incident is one of the most well-known lessons of the Bible. A woman, who had been caught in the act of adultery was brought to Jesus Christ by the scribes and Pharisees as a test to see if the Messiah was a liberal in matters of the Law of God. In response to their deceitful query, He didn’t condemn the woman, not because He was a liberal, not because He condoned her sin, but because the men who brought the woman to Him were Hypocrites. He was the only person there that day who was free of sin, the only one who had the right to “cast the first stone.” He didn’t stone her (or her accusers), but instead forgave her and told her to “sin no more.” Otherwise, the day is coming when she, if she didn’t thereafter repent, won’t be stoned, but will be burned – along with the hypocrites who brought her to Him that day, if they didn’t thereafter repent of their sin:

I guess you are without sin!

I agree with you 100%. Those with morals and those who are Christian (I do not believe you can have morals and NOT believe in God), should COME TOGETHER AND UNITE.

VOTE FOR MORALITY. Newt is NOT a moral person. I am just sick thinking that if Newt gets elected, what will happen in the oval office – CLINTON RETURNS.

GET YOUR BRAINS WORKING PEOPLE. If you are MORAL, do not support Newt. He is a charlatan, A WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING. You will be sorry if you support him and he gets into the WH. YOU WILL BE SORRY. He has an invisible pact with the devil. My Spirit tells me this.

Why are we still talking about Newty GrinchGrinch and his infidelity?

What is this, an episode of “Days of Our Lives”?

We should be talking about REAL ISSUES like the ones Ron Paul interjects. Instead we‘re being beat about the face and neck with the most tangential stupidity about these neocon candidates’ personal lives and social BS while the media deliberately ignores or attacks Ron Paul. I’m sick of it.

Nevertheless, until more people get sick of it and sick of their manipulation and divergent garbage, they’re going to keep on wielding that drivel like a bludgeon against the truth being discussed.

It’s really illustrative of the relationship the media has with the public and the real way they feel about us. They think we’re all complete idiots.

Well, sorry to all anti-Newt fans — I’m not crazy over him either (would rather have Santorum over him) – but I really don’t think this will change anything re his popularity. This is old news and many years ago. He’s admitted he made these mistakes in the past so most will think so what – it shouldn’t affect his job as President & give him the benefit of the doubt about his morals in the last few years. Doesn’t surprise ME and if it comes down to him as our nominee, I’ll still vote for him. All I know is we all need to vote for whoever ends up our nominee.

Vote for the person who you think will be the best person to become president. If we say, oh Santorum can’t win, then it is just like what happened during the 2008 presidential election. We voted for McCain, and Obama won. Do we want Obama again. We can’t go down that same road again. We are running out of time. Santorum, is the true conservative left in the race for president. Let’s not give up hope and lets do a lot of praying, so save our country.

Does the faithfulness of a President to his wife impact his ability to fulfill his sworn duty to defend, uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States?

As the case of William Jefferson Clinton demonstrated, yes it does.

The most sacred vow that a man will ever take in this life is his promise to “cleave unto his wife” and none else. The vow of fidelity is paramount to all other promises he makes.

A man who cannot be trusted to be honest with his own wife cannot be trusted to be honest with an entire nation.

    It could be this?

    http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/317440

”Little known to the American public Newt Gingrich and his then wife Marianne were the subject of a US Justice Department criminal investigation in the late 1990s involving a $10 million bribe of the world’s largest private arms dealer, Sarkis Soghanalia.

Unaware that Soghanalian was an FBI informant, it is alleged that Marianne Gingrich whilst working for the Israel Export Development Corporation (IEDC) tried to facilitate a bribe to the tune of $10 million so that her husband could use his influence to lift the arms embargo against Iraq in order for Soghanalian to collect an outstanding payment of $54 million from Saddam Hussein. “

Amid news that Newt Gingrich’s ex-wife Marianne’s interview with ABC will air tonight, a political veteran who has had past ties to Gingrich, reminds me that the former Mrs. Gingrich has long opposed his running for president.
“I think it matters that she’s been saying this **** for years — and has been doing things to tweak him for years,” said this source.
      This is actually true.
As the New York Post reminds us today:
In 1995, when Vanity Fair magazine asked Marianne what would happen if Newt ran for president, she boasted she could derail the bid with a single TV interview.
“He can’t do it without me,” she said.
“I told him if I’m not in agreement, fine, it’s easy.
“I just go on the air the next day, and I undermine everything . . . I don’t want him to be president, and I don’t think he should be.”
“There’s always been a real — almost like a jealousy issue with her,” my source adds. “She likes attentiion. And she’s very bitter. And this is behavior of someone who likes attention and is very bitter.”

Motives? You really think she may have a motive for saying these things? Look at her face, it reeks of a broken heart, her body language is that of someone who is totally broken by what he did to her, and still this many years later, she is still experiencing painful bleeding of her heart.

I hope you got this far before you had to run and puke. I swan, motive?? Her motive is HATE, look at her face. She looks like a little demon!! Bitterness fills her and Newt may have said what he said, but it wasn’t about Clarisa, it was about work……this woman literally wanted him all to herself and did not want to share him with AnYTHING. And now she is getting even. Her hate has come on the attack. Newt is a adulator, no question, BUT, he did go to her and ask forgiveness and he went to God and asked forgiveness. God wiped the slate clean. What is she doing? Maybe she now needs to go to church.

Romney will have a hard time winning against Obama when that 15% of Ron Paul supporters REFUSE to vote for him. And after Obama gets down parading ROmney’s weird Scientolgy type believes all over the TV/internet, Christians and non Christians allike will LAUGH at Romney and either stay home or vote for a 3rd party.

Anyone who is a FISCAL Free Market voters will run from Romney when Obama’s people remind conservative voters than ROMNEYcare is not free market. And Romney was FOR TARP bailing out PRIVATE banks. And Romney is for TAXPAYER ethanol subsidies bailing out PRIVATE farmers and then forcing consumers (who have NO FREE MARKET CHOICE) to put that PRIVATE FARMER bailed out ethanol in their gas tanks.

I cannot help what the 15% of paultards do, it is their problem. This new tactic of trying to hold the presidency hostage unless republicans vote for Paul is simply ludicrous. If Obama wins he wins, but he won’t. Romney actually has the best chance of pulling in votes across the spectrum from moderate dems to hard core right. He is better than Obama.

If you decide not to vote then more power to you. But not all of Paul’s supporters are stupid enough to re-elect Obama simply because their candidate did not make it and they feel a college aged temper tantrum is the solution. I have no doubt that Romney will win this election in a landslide, much like Obama won in ‘08. When people are fed up and want change they turn out to vote.

You overestimate Paul’s support. Much like liberals, Paul supporters are vocal and active, especially on the internet. But it is still a very very low percentage of the population. The silent majority still rule.

      @troll

Actually its not our problem at all. Ron Paul supporters will vote for the right man, not the one the media wants. We will not hold our nose and vote for another Mcain. I would rather vote right, explain to my children why I did vote the way I did, and prepare for the for what is coming if Dr. Ron Paul isnt elected.

You can call us names, that doesnt bother us. What bothers us is the fact so many Americans are willing to throw away their freedom, give away their money, and vote for the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Its time for change. I dont think this is over at all. I think the more people listen to Dr. Paul’s message and learn about history they will see the light. This is our last chance I think to turn the ship around before he hit the iceberg. All the other guys including Obama are headed towards the iceberg at just different speeds. We need a president that will turn the ship around. That president is RON PAUL.

You Ron Paul supporters ARE CRAZY IF…you believe Obama will be better for our country than Romney. It sounds to me like you are just cutting off your nose to spite your face. A conservative in the White House is better than a liberal and its time you stopped whining and grow up! I know you like Ron Paul–so do I! But I can’t stand the “it’s my way or the highway” approach Paul’s supporters are taking. When Romney lost the nomination to McCain four years ago, even though they everyone knew they detested each other, Romney immediately threw all his support behind McCain so a conservative could have a chance. That takes maturity and an understanding that we don’t always get our way. If Ron Paul won the nomination, Romney would support him and hopefully the rest of the conservative base would too. When all is said and done, defeating Obama should be our top priority and Romney clearly has the best chance of making that happen.
