‘Booty Pop’: Is Viral Video of a 6-Year-Old Rapping With Women in Skimpy Bikinis ‘Sexual Abuse’?

A 6-year-old making a rap video automatically has viral potential. But the cute factor isn’t what has the Florida youngster and his parents, who let him make the video, making headlines on the Web recently.
The video involves the young boy singing sexually explicitly lyrics with bikini-clad women dancing in the clip. The video has since been removed from YouTube, where it went viral and authorities have not confirmed nor denied an investigation — but a psychiatrist speaking on Fox News‘ “The O’Reilly Factor,” called it sexual abuse. Still, it has been said the video was meant to be a joke.

Blurred images of women in bikini's in the viral video that was discussed on The O'Reilly Factor.
Here’s more from Fox News on the video:
[...] the boy is sandwiched between two bikini-covered backsides as he sings: “I can make your booty pop, booty pop, booty pop.” He later holds a water gun near his crotch and douses a dancer. [...]
“It’s supposed to be a joke, but I’d say [only] about 30 percent of the people watching it find it funny,” Tyler Council, president of the Florida-based Froze-N-Time Productions, told the Miami New Times. “But I still don’t regret it.” [...]
“He’s just trying to imitate his idols that he hears on the radio,” Council said. “There’s no touching going on; there’s no drug abuse.”
The video was condemned earlier this week by comments and blogs. News One called “Booty Pop” the “most recent example of that quantum step into the bowels of Black debauchery that should force any self-respecting Black-American to stop in their tracks and consider how long will we allow the entertainment industry to pimp the dignity out of our race.” Fox has more from other sites:
“I can’t even begin to wonder what the motivation behind this video and song was, or why so many adults thought it was cool,” read a blogpost in Vibe.com. But watching [the boy] sing of making a grown woman’s booty pop while a half-dozen of them dance around him in the pool, just made me sad.
“Though the young boy did not utter a profanity, [he] certainly participated in a video that most responsible parents would find repulsive and inappropriate for an adolescent child,” wrote BlackAmericaWeb.com.
Watch the segment from The O’Reilly Factor (Content Warning: Some clips from the viral video could be disturbing):
Psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow said on the show that he considered the video “sexual abuse of a 6-year-old boy by the adult women who participated in making the video, any producer involved, and his parents.”
On the other hand though, Fox reports clinical psychologist Andrea Macari saying while the video was not tasteful, calling it child abuse goes too far cheapening the real victims of abuse.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:06amI agree that there are cultural influences. I find the behavior as disgusting as you do. But, the entire black community is not composed of individuals making poor choices. Astray was just a term I used for improper parenting skills. I am stating that sexual abuse does not have to be physical in nature in order to damage a child. I do feel for the little boy, as he doesn’t have much of a choice in his environment at this age. I completely agree with you that the music culture of black, hispanic and white has gotten totally out of hand. I personally refuse to watch, listen or permit my children to listen or watch music that is so vulgar in nature. I do not think it has been good for our country at all.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:22am..your children must be young. You have control to limit what they watch now. But, when he or she gets to middle school and HS, the peer pressure will tell the tale. Remember the kids on the bus and the poor elderly bus monitor? That is the brand of kids (little criminals if you ask me along with their parents) we are raising now by texts, there is no parent at home. Your kids will be among these types, so enjoy your control now because it will divide up later into fragmented distant memories of a once upon a time fairy tale.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:24amYou are absolutely right, sexual abuse does not have to be physical. Showing an underage child pornographic images is certainly abuse, and I would argue that teaching him song lyrics to rap about sexually explicit themes and making him sing them to a group of sexily-dressed womenwhen he has no knowledge or experience is also abuse. What would have happened if this was a teacher’s school project? If a babysitter did this as a joke? Especially if this was a little girl and not a boy. Those parents would SUE SUE SUE, for sexual abuse and rightly so.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:24amApparently Ms. Macari has never read the psychological profiles of some of the most notorious serial rapists and murderers in history. To a person, each one was exposed to graphic sexuality early in life, either thru actual molestation, exposure to pornography or by having a mother who brought “company” home frequently. If nothing else, this kind of thing will make this kid look at women as toys and sex objects who deserve to be depersonalized.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 9:59amNothing new here. As our culture disintegrates it is predictable that the lowest strata of society turns to wholly debauched behavior. There’s no stopping or even curbing it. It’s an old old story and we all know the ending. Remember, when you see these things begin, look up, for your redemption draws near.

Is that all you took from the post? I’ll admit, you don’t normally see prayer on forums….but it doesn’t make the stuff they mentioned before any less relevant.
We, as a collective society in America, stand around scratching our heads on why the black community suffers so much more than other race groups…maybe they need more money.
And then there is this video…
Only that, you don’t need this video to realize that there is some SERIOUS need of a look inward within the black community of what messages their youth are getting…and how those messages play a role in their development as an adult in this American society.
I challenge ANYONE to listen to your local Rap & R&B station and find ONE song that doesn’t glorify selling drugs, gang violence, objectivity of women, or promiscuity.

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 5:19pmI’ve been railing on this for the last year or so…
I find it so interesting that these feminist & “pro womens rights” groups get so outraged over Limbaugh’s use of the word slut, in a hypothetical of what you’d call a woman that asks for money to have sex….
Yet Lil Wayne can make a direct (no mistaking it) comparison of a womans reproductive organ & a filet minion…and not a peep. He can sing about wanting to Fornication Under the Consent of the King every girl in the world….and no feminist group is banging down his door. Listen to the words of the songs in the top 10 Rap ratings chart…and your jaw will drop at what they get away with.
Yet someone NOT in the entertainment industry makes the most indirect of comments that can somehow be taken as offensive to women, and those fem groups are all over it!

Posted on July 12, 2012 at 10:42amI have said it before and I will say it again. The left- wing prog commies want to expose children to sex as young as they can. They do this to equate or associate progressivism with fun (sex). By doing this it is easier to separate them from any conservative influences by painting them as “old-fashioned” and to brainwash them into accepting prog/commie indoctrination. Sex/Prog=good. No sex/conservatism=bad. It is the oldest brainwashing trick in the book.

It’s not just from this video….have you listened to Rap music in the last 10 years? Atleast guys like 2Pac, Ez E, and some of the rapers in the 90s were actually talking about the realities of hood life, etc.
Rap music made in the last 10 or so years couldn’t be farther from reality for their target audience. EVERY single song is about them having so much money, they don’t know what to do with it. “Have a baby by me baby, be a millionare” – 50 Cent “I want to **** every girl in the world” – Lil Wayne “I got 10 bathrooms, I can s**t all day n****r” – Lil Wayne
Tedd might have been a bit more precise about the issue at hand….but it is undeniable that the pop black culture is one of the primary culprits in their plight today…..and you can’t touch it with a 10 foot pole! Not even blacks….talk to Bill Cosby how he was received when he spoke about folks in the black community taking care of their children, dressing appropriately, speaking correct English.
