Brace Yourself for Al Sharpton’s New GOP-Bashing MSNBC Ad About…Blueberry Pie

Prepare yourself for what may very well be the most entertaining advertisement you’ve seen in quite a while. MSNBC’s “Lean Forward” campaign has just released a short, 29-second spot that features the Rev. Al Sharpton railing on about blueberry pie and — the GOP (just in time for Thanksgiving).
During the first 10 seconds of the ad, Sharpton shares a personal story about how his mother and some neighborhood women would bake blueberry pies when he was a child. He initially has a very calm and collected tone as he recaps his childhood for the audience. But around the 11 second mark, Sharpton gets invigorated, as he launches into a rant.
He explains that he and his friends would sneak some pie while their mothers weren’t home. “Our mothers were still working and we’d eat. They’d come in. ‘Did you all eat the pie?’ And it would be all over…,” he excitedly explains as he makes a gesture to indicate that the pie was all over his face.
Now, here’s where the ad gets weird. Sharpton transitions from the blueberry pie to the GOP’s past policies and current handling of the economic situation:
“That’s what happens when I look at the GOP. They talk about the economy’s bad — and ‘We didn’t do it! We were the ones fighting!‘ But they’ve got the blueberry pie all over their face. They were the ones eating the pie!”
He’s insanely animated as he attempts to make the odd connection between his childhood desert-eating habits and the GOP.

He seems to be a weak mind, with little education and no culture.
