WASHINGTON (AP/THE BLAZE) — Congress has sent President Barack Obama legislation making $38 billion in cuts from domestic programs.
The Senate vote was 81-19, with 14 Republicans dissenting. It came not long after the House gave its approval, 260-167.
The bill was the product of negotiations involving the White House, House Republicans and Senate Democrats, who reached agreement last week in barely enough time to avert a threatened government shutdown.
The legislation drew support from lawmakers in both parties, but little if any enthusiasm.
Its passage closes the books on the current budget year.
It also clears the way for a broader debate about spending priorities in an era of soaring budget deficits. That struggle begins in earnest on Friday, when House Republicans are expected to approve a budget that calls for major changes in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as deep cuts elsewhere.

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 8:58pm$38 billion = less than 4% of this year’s deficit. Actual cuts of only $350 million = less than .035%. As a percentage of the actual budget, it is even far, far less. Translation: more than 99.9% of the budget remains intact. And Obama is calling this the largest spending reduction in history. PUH-LEASE.

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 8:17pmI’m freakin sick of all of this! This year‘s budget is more than last year’s – there’s no budget cut! Obama gives Brazil $2 billion for it’s off-shore drilling (Export Import Bank) and We’re freakin broke. I’m sick of all this BS from everyone. Including Trump and Obama over the birth certificate. Really! Who’s seen it! If this is the best minds we have in Washington, We’re F$@Ked! This male dominated, special interests back side licking, lobbyists, leadership we’ve had for decades has led us to the edge of the abyss, and I’ve had enough! Give me a common sense WOMAN who’s not afraid to kick some jihad and elitists ass!
Are you better off than you were four years ago? Are you sick and tired of seeing money wasted by Departments of Education and Energy? Really, in 1980 Brazil imported 70% of it’s oil – the U.S. 30%. Today, Brazil imports 0% of it’s oil and we import 70%. Makes no sense. Then there’s the Department of Education – (started under Reagan) for a good cause. But what good cause is always FUBAR’ed by ass hats in Washington. I’ve had enough!
We send men and women to fight our battles, then when the ass hats in Washington can’t agree on common sense solutions, like less spending, they’re the ones that suffer first with a government shut down. I’ve had enough!
We either get back to basics or die. Farm subsidies to millionaires like Letterman. And Newt’s for ethanol subsidies? Give me a break. Millionaires collecting unemployment compensation. More money spent on education than ever before and we get dumber kids. Billions of dollars given to a foreign government for it’s off-shore drilling, while American companies go broke because our Commander in Ass Hat’s ideology. Transparency in government promised with a fail to deliver. And Ike‘s warning of the military complex in our face and trillions in the Pentagon’s budget missing! I’ve had enough!
I’d tired of being told to sit in the back of the bus while the bus driver is an incompetent jerk. We live or die by Our Constitution, holding jerks accountable, demanding common sense and limited Federal Government. Freakin incompetent ass hats and subversives have got to go! On top of all of this we’ve got devils like Soros, Van Jones, Powers and her hubby, runnin the show with Union backing – those communist bastards! I’ve had enough!

Posted on April 14, 2011 at 6:55pmGee… let’s see $38.2B/$14.2T = NOT MUCH OF A CUT… regardless of your skill in mathematics.
Now for those that are interested or lamenting about the ‘loss of jobs’… well while the POTUS‘ ’right’ hand was waving… the ‘left’ hand of the ever-so-righteous government have been busily working to cut a deal with the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) for the sell of the ~27% US government’s stock holding in GM… OH – they‘re including the Canadian’s as well… which hold ~9%. So that would give SAIC an approximate ~36% share of GM. Let’s see – the SAIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chinese Communist Government… but I suppose that will create jobs, right?!?. Well maybe in Shanghai…but only if you speak Chinese. Members of the UAW/AFL-CIO wonder if you’ll get to move and of course I would imagine going on strike might be problematic, unless of course you change your name to ‘Workers of World United’… Somehow – the debt to the Chinese has caught up with ‘payback’… which is always – wellll… ‘not a good word’…
Don’t believe it… well here you go – check it out. Of course the deal has a year of review and doesn’t go into affect until April 2012 – but do you really think that anyone in this Administration will be against it… Somehow I just don’t think so. Here’s the link to the under-covered-ignored story

And this just inJackson Subject of Gay Harassment Complaint
Complaint is not a lawsuit against Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.

A former employee of the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. at the Rainbow Push Coalition has filed a bombshell wrongful termination and discrimination complaint against the civil rights leader with the City of Chicago’s Commission on Human Rights.
The complaint, filed sometime last year by Tommy R. Bennett, a regular on the Tom Joyner Radio show and member of Barack Obama’s LGBT Leadership Council, includes shocking allegations about Jackson’s behavior toward the openly gay staffer including an allegation that the civil rights leader propositioned him.
Jackson has denied the allegations in a legal response that was filed in July 2010 and resurfaced when the Windy City Times published a story Tuesday.
Bennett, 55, claims Jackson ridiculed him in front of other employees and required him to perform “humiliating tasks” like escorting women to Jackson’s various hotel rooms, cleaning up after alleged trysts and packing his clothing. It also includes an allegation that Jackson asked for oral sex, according to the claim. Jackson flatly denied each claim in his response.
Jackson could not be reached for comment after multiple attempts by NBCChicago, but his legal representatives did respond to the complaint in July. Bennett also has not commented to NBCChicago.
Bennett worked for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition for more than two years as the National Director of Community Affairs. The complaint states that Bennett endured a string of discriminatory treatment from multiple supervisors, but his protests were met with deaf ears.
In 2008, Bennett assumed the duties of Jackson’s travel assistant.
In that capacity, Bennett alleges to “clean his [hotel] room after sexual intercourse with women.”
Bennett’s complaint requests back and front pay, compensation for emotional distress and punitive damages all to the tune of roughly $450,000. Bennett also wants an amendment to the civil rights organization’s non-discrimination policy to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Jackson, a former presidential candidate, has been married to his wife, Jacqueline Lavinia Brown, since 1962, but has had bouts with infidelity. One affair with a staffer resulted in the birth of a girl in 1999.
He has five children with Brown, including Jesse Jackson, Jr., who represents Illinois’ 2nd District in the United States House of Representatives.

31billion divided by 3,800 billion equals 0.0081578947368421..
That converted to a percentage is .82%
Put it another way: I have an income of $1500 yet I spend $3800. Can I, should I cut $31?
