Bring Your Kids!: Atheist Performer Tim Minchin Drops 45+ F Bombs On Stage at Reason Rally (WARNING: EXPLICIT VIDEO)

Family friendly? Reason Rally performer Tim Minchin

The Reason Rally, held in the shadow of the Washington Monument this weekend, has been heralded as historic for many reasons. But the largest gathering of the secular movement in world history” might have just hit the record books again: for dropping the most f-bombs through loudspeakers on the National Mall.

This historic achievement was reached through the joint efforts of a couple speakers headlining the Rally however, the golden participation award certainly goes to songwriter Tim Minchin.

Minchin was a paid performer who spoke and sang onstage for more than 20 minutes.  The Australian entertainer, not exactly known for his civility, dropped more that 75 f-bombs in that interval. Minchin’s performance was in the middle of the National Mall and in front of some estimated 10,000 people.

Performing in front of The Washington Monument and flanked by the Smithsonian Museum of American History, the Smithsonian Castle and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Minchin’s near-80 f-bombs echoed through to countless children and families simply touring the nation’s capital on a Saturday afternoon.

Here are the historic highlights of Minchin’s performance in a Blaze Exclusive video.

Editor’s note: Observe the multiple children in the audience.

CONTENT WARNING — Extremely vulgar language

The major offense came from Minchin’s performance of the ‘Pope Song’ which includes lyrics about Catholics:

So f–k the motherf–ker ,

And f–k you, motherf–ker

If you’re still a motherf–king papist.

And includes lyrics about the pope:

As that motherf–king, power-hungry

Self-aggrandized bigot

In the stupid f–king hat.

The performance was met with crowd exuberance and participation. Minchin received a standing ovation after the set.

The Reason Rally was advertised as “Family Friendly” and “Inclusive.” On the front page of the rally website today there is still an invitation to “Bring Your Kids!”

The FAQ page of the rally’s website however, disallows the attendees from “Being Rude” — even if you are talking to religious protesters.

Bring Your Kids!: Atheist Performer Tim Minchin Drops 45+ F Bombs On Stage at Reason Rally (WARNING: EXPLICIT VIDEO)It’s worth noting Minchin has second billing on the Reason Website VIP section, just under leading atheist author Richard Dawkins:

At Father Flanigans Boys Town there was a saying. ” No matter how tough you think you are, there is always someone tougher”. Same for intelligence. No matter how smart and educated you are, there is allways someone smarter and more educated. How can any individual with a school education and no life education determine that GOD is just a myth??? I deduce atheists are just looking for attenchen and recognition they know there incapable of ever achieving on a real level. God bless there efforts for God knows it will lead them to him. GOD BLESS AMERICA and INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM

Here we go again, you include all non-religious people in your all-inclusive summary that we are “all lacking attenchen (attention?) and recognition…” Most good people in the US are hard working, honest, decent folks whether they are religious or not. You categorizing all atheists in that fashion is no different than common racism, ie: all ——-’s are lazy, all —– are drunks. I don’t want attention any more than you do. That dude in the article probably has mental disorders. Think before you write that kind of junk.

If you listen at 00:47 he explains his rationale for using the language he chose. If you really listen to the point he is making, people who still are offended by the language and the fact children were present, those folks need to take a real hard look at their lives and ask themselves, “How did my priorities get this out of whack?”

Wow! Where are the Pulitzer or Grammy commissioners when you need them? I thought most non-Conservatives would lean toward evolution, a theory that promulgates the the orderly advance of organisms constantly improving themselves over billions and billions of years. Yet, with such “intellectual” and “compassionate” lyricism coming from this Neanderthal, I think we need to formally accept that Darwin MAY have been on to something . . . he just got it backwards. Should have put a “D” in front of the word “evolution: . . .

Vox hit the nail on the head. Minchin’s song is a stab at self-repressive credo/doctrines; its a cathartic display of vulgarity in the face the backwards conservative pseudo-moralism of our age, and the reaction of the Blaze readers at large juxtaposed with that of the Rally‘s attendees is a beautiful example the esoteric nature of Tim’s performances. By the way, Tim has a phenomenal vocabulary, and if any of you did a little research you might understand this. Or not.

What I don’t understand is why they cannot fit in to society. But when you hear them it becomes quite clear that they don’t.

They want to deny us. They have no plan to be a PART of this society. They want the whole society to be exclusive of religion.

When you listen to the promo for this event you hear this woman talking about values.

What values? They do not have any values that contribute to society. Everything they live by (like some laws at least) has it’s origin in the Bible. Their acts show us when they let go what they become.

So what values is this woman talking about?

      Their immorality?

Their value of life? Keeping the murderer alive and turn him/her into a victim?

Their value of life? Killing the unborn child just because it had the nerve to come along at an inconvenient time?

      Their militancy

      Their narrow-mindedness?

Their unwillingness to give their or even other children ALL the information to make an informed choice?

Their free choice? Which is non-existent

Their judgmental-ism? By asserting the violence perpetrated of religion, while ignoring their own worst history (Stalin, Mao etc. etc.)

      Values?…………..Please.

I feel sorry for the moderate atheist. But your people scare me. Their history is not very assuring and their present time activities do not speak well for them.

If I were you, I would look for another group. I would be embarrassed if true Christians would behave this way. And there is no doubt these

I think theists spend so much time thinking they are “special” they often forget the law still (or perhaps in many cases for them first time) applies to them, and to the many of us who do not yet share the same preconceptions and beliefs, you don’t appear special at all.

That’s exactly what happens. We have been losing genes over time, and have been getting worse. There has of course been variation within genes but over all things have been getting worse. There has been no gaining of genes. If an architect only knows what he learned in a book and the book didn‘t teach him about toilets he’s not going to design a single building with a toilet, but over time he might forget some stuff and eventually the buildings won’t have windows either.

      @SAWBUCK
That’s cute, but you’ve completely misunderstood what I have said. You are talking about individuals making the law ad hoc. What I am talking about is the inevitability that humans MUST make laws–point me to a society that does not “take the law into it’s own hands”? My point is precisely that because there ISN’T a universal and obvious set of laws given by God, whether or not God exists is irrelevant to the fact that man MUST make judgments about law without divine guidance, for no one who has claimed to act upon divine guidance has yet been able to secure universal assent nor demonstrate the authority of their claim with evidence.

What we must conclude from this, is that either God does not exist, or that God does not desire (and thus has not made) God’s will for our laws (if God were to have any, an additional assumption) to be known by us. Since there is no uncontroversial objective standard of agreement for divine authority, all laws must ultimately be based upon human authority and judgment. All laws originate ultimately from politics, and human decisions, for better or for worse. The idea of an a priori unity to law–an ultimate court of appeals, may be seductive, but that doesn’t make it true were it not already, and moreover whether or not such a thing ACTUALLY exists, if we can have no knowledge of it, we must strive to make and improve our own substitutes, if the exigencies of humanity necessitate it, which they seem to.

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
“So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

They had worship music, the 5 commandments, preaching and evangelism of doctrinal beliefs, It was one big fellowship event, kind of like a revival. The more they try to oppose the church the more they immitate and lQQk like a church. Again, atheism is a religion. It meets all the basic requirements and requires faith to accept their set of beliefs that cannot be proven or disproven scientifically….Agnostics actually come the closest to being a non-religious group. I as a Christian am guilty of sin and I confess it and try to improve myself by changing my course and I know God knows at least I am trying. When you are like this man there is no place to get rid of it…..no forgiveness and it makes him angry. He has to live in the vomit that is his life.

He may in fact simply become more hardened, more bitter, and more twisted in time, but we can all pray that despite this cold steel exterior somewhere deep down inside there is still a soft spot that God can work with.

i tell you all it is written

Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!

To those who think all that is required of us is to believe!

with nothing changing from within, with no efforts, are we to walk right into our Great and Mighty Fathers kingdom? Even though our Lord Jesus Christ tells us the gate is narrow and the way is difficult, are we to go in one day a week and hear someone preach slander, hate or envy and receive it with joy because those he talks about are condemned? Are we to listen to jokes, buy shirts, mugs and CD’s? Shall we live as those who do not know Him, yet condemn them as if our salvation is carved in stone?

how can a brother be condemned over a petty thing such as grumble against one another? Are we not allowed to freely sin and still obtain salvation? How then can condemnation derive from grumble against one another?

Are we to take this with a grain of salt and call such things human nature and allow ourselves to continue in it? Or deceive ourselves and say this does not pertain to us? Is the law not the same for all brethren?

Why then would Paul bother to tell our brothers at Corinth,
you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

if we are expected to live as our old self why bother sending word to them of such matters?

It‘s amazing that for an atheist group to get so apoplectic over the cross or a prayer representing a God they say they don’t believe in, when in reality they just don‘t want to be reminded there IS a God and if he’s being represented by the cross or the prayer their guilty conscience gets the better of them every time. That proves they really do believe there is a God.

      WhiteFang

Hello and welcome! are you a fellow believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

well to be quite honest the discussion at hand is of no importance to me. if such things mattered to me i would question why. the only thing i care for here is the opportunity and the audience.

as for making it known to my audience where it is to be found in the Bible.
if they do not know these things they are free to look to our Lord and our Fathers words for themselves.
if my ways helps to bring one of our brothers or sisters in our Lord and Father closer then what concern is it to you? it is not required of me to do what you ask. chapters and verses were never required.

one thing i would ask, where does such disapproval come from?

      that list again,
men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power

      also,
works of the flesh; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries

do any of these things play a part in that?

I tell you all It is written
Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”

I notice in my studies I often come across two definitions given for repenting. One is to feel regret or to feel bad. The other is to change one’s mind/ways, or to turn from sin.

It is written when he talks with the woman caught in adultery,
“Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.”And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

I tell you all it would be profitable for one to question
Does just being sorry better fit the description,

wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
      or
narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

      And when we are told
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Would we not be likened to the wise man to ask what it means? Are we really to believe only those present with him held to such standards? That his commands only apply to them?

Then we must ask ourselves with pride and self set aside, if we are held to the same standards as every other fellow brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord, where have I denied myself? Speaking for myself I have denied myself little to nothing for many years.

in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
You must put away pride to find such things in yourself! Nothing anyone else does will be accepted as a reason for such things in yourself.
My brothers and sisters in Christ turn to your Lord with every free moment you have! Seek Him, praise Him, worship Him, drop to your knees and pray to him from the heart!

when i stand before our Lord and our Father the fact you stated will be no excuse for me to allow myself to do likewise without fighting against it in myself.

my heart would break to hear my lord declare to me, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

      it is written
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him

i must deny myself daily and not willingly practice lawlessness or rationalize it because of another person’s actions or because of a specific situation. or allow myself to except practicing lawlessness just because i am not willing to flee from that which is causing me to practice such things. i must be willing to change it and not indulge in it or say, i will work on it later, or brush it off and say to myself i’m human and we sin oh well that’s life.. its a daily fight that i’m sure to fail.

to add to that for myself… to not reach out to my brothers and sisters would make me feel as though i were to tell our Father, I watched them walk off the cliff but did not reac

to add to your reply, to make sure and address the end of times point with more detail to avoid any misunderstanding.
the list is a list of thing that are not of God there is no intent to point to the end times, it will come when it comes, only one knows the day.
as we are told each day has there own troubles.
it is intended to give a better idea of what is not of our Father
which are listed as such .

men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away

now we must ask ourselves who would be having a form of godliness but denying its power?
maybe those who he talked about in his warning when saying

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

It cannot be those that do not believe in God because they would not do many things in his name. and call to him with broken hearts.. Lord, Lord.. and tha

Turn to our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father God in all that you do! For it is written,
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
Search yourself, your thoughts, your words, and your acts for the works of the flesh; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries. Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Did they put on this act to show us who they really are? Is this what atheists stand for?
They have no plan to be a PART of this society. They want the whole society to be like them.
      God help us.

When you listen to the promo for this event you hear this woman talking about values.

What values? They do not have any values that contribute to society. Everything they live by (like some laws at least) has it’s origin in the Bible.

Their intolerance? We at least want to teach our children about evolution.

And there is no doubt these are true Atheists.

@Leopold, At the end there you fell into a logic fallacy called No True Scotsman, Hitler was a christian just as you are, Stalin actually reopened churches in 1943, it was the party that kept religion down. And yes, under Mao alot of people died but China would not be the power it is today if it had not been for him.
History is an interesting subject and I would suggest that you read into it.
Free choice is non-existent? What kind of bull-**** is that?
Evolution has science to back it, if you want creationism taught, back it with science.
Everything they live by is in the bible? Do you seriously believe that ********?
All in all I‘ve determined that you can’t think rationally, and for that I blame your parents and I pity you.
However, your intolerance for people is disgusting, and if you want to be “christian” then try accepting the fact that not all people believe like you.

      @ GAMERMAN

Hitler was a pagan, worshiping nature. When you have a big mouth at least get your facts right.

If you think it is rational to believe that fish turned into dinosaurs and dinosaurs into birds, you are perfectly free to believe in such nonsense. You are hiding behind science. You have absolutely nothing to back up the claim of evolution. All science has is conjecture, experiments, failed tests, and oh yeah, the missing link.

Since you believe in evolution you should not be afraid of global warming. I am sure you will develop duck feet and maybe even some wings.
