British Politician’s Musical Tie Goes Off During House Speech

At least it wasn’t an inappropriate tune. But still, when Nadhim Zahawi’s musical tie started chiming during a speech at the House of Commons, it was embarrassing. And as can be expected during a British political speech, the Speaker didn’t let him off easy. But the best parts may be the man in the background visibly puzzled by the noise, cocking his head as he tries to pinpoint its origin, or that the music plays as Zahawi talks about having a “credible debate”:

I’m sure he did not know it could so easily be set off, but it certainly did not cause any problems and he continued with his speech. My Daddy died from bladder cancer and I would love to wear a tie in support of it even though I’m a girl. May God Bless.

Report Post »even the guy thought it was funny…the speakers comment was that British dry humor…everyone laughed…i think Congress would be better if they would laugh at each other and not get their panties in a bunch over it….
stupid to wear it yes…but that was what he was speaking about…the organization that gave him the tie…sort of a prop for his speech about the cancer research center, i think it was….

Of course, with the Progressives, if Obama did the same thing, it would be considered the heights of fashion and music combined into one.
