British Teen Arrested for Burning Koran, ‘Inciting Religious Hatred’

A teenage girl has been arrested for allegedly “inciting religious hatred” after burning a copy of the Quran and posting the video on Facebook.

According to the Daily Mail, the 15-year-old girl was filmed two weeks ago burning the Islamic religious book at school and has been released on bail. According to local police, the video was reported to the school and has since been removed from Facebook.

Just two and a half months ago, six men filmed themselves setting fire to the Muslim holy book behind a local pub. The self-described British nationalists said the Quran burning was retribution for all those who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

After video of the incident surfaced on YouTube, they were all promptly arrested.

Chief executive officer of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee, Catherine Heseltine, slammed the girl’s actions, saying it was offensive to Muslims. “The Koran is the most sacred thing to over a billion Muslims worldwide. You can see that in the way Muslims treat the Koran – washing before touching it and in many Muslim homes you will find it on the top shelf above all other books,” Heseltine told the Daily Mail.

“We will never destroy the Koranic texts. We believe it is the word of God. God’s guidance for us in this life,” she said.

But when Daily Mail tracked down the men arrested in September, they defended their actions, claiming they acted out of “frustration” that there was “one law for Muslims” and another law for everyone else.

    Unreal! Thank God I live in the United States where as of now I can burn any book I own! I agree that people should not burn books but they should have the right to without fear of arrest. The fanatic Muslim community routinely burns US and British flags, do they get arrested in London?

    The bible is only a book but the word of God endures forever. Burning a bible I am sure does not offend our Lord. He writes his law upon our hearts and our minds. I can see why Muslims get upset because their religeon is powerless. The only power they have is to inflict pain and suffering on others, whereas Christ’s word has the power to heal and set free. I know because I was healed of breast cancer without chemo or tamoxifen.

    Anymore, a Qur’an gets burned anywhere in the world, someone’s getting arrested… if they’re lucky. Allah’s mercy be shown upon any that so much as look @ one w/o being a devout Muslim @ the very least. However, THEY get a free pass to do whatever they wish.

    They burn our flags publicly; they shred our Bibles publicly; they injure, maim & kill our citizens. They hold demonstrations with thousands of their “faithful” in the streets from the “outrage” that something unfortunate was PERCEIVED to have been done to one of them. They get violen at the drop of a hat & everyone shrinks away like COWARDS!

    They dominate the human heart through fear & the human law via the victim card. It’s the same story over & over again. WAKE UP!!! They’re just PEOPLE!!! They’re people that take the increasingly violoent & less-tolerant words of their pedophile Muhammed (one of his wives he married @ the ripe old age of… NINE!) & run with them, finding & siting a passage & excuse for every act of violence they commit. They‘re PEOPLE living in MAN’s domain. Follow the law of God (the merciful, loving God… the ONLY God…) and respect the law of man.

    You don’t like the laws where you are, then just GO HOME! It’s that simple.     What’s the worse that could happen? A car-bomb? I’d rather die fighting than fall at the hands of a spectre in my sleep. That’s MY choice, though. I don’t look for a fight, but bring one to MY door? These are no longer the nations our grand parents, parents, sons, daughter, and some of us have fought for & died to preserve & protect. This prolific inaction does NOTHING but make the bloodshed completely… irrelevant. Some show of national unity & respect for the fallen.

      Not in the US although with Iman Barak’s justice department you never know; they’re suing AZ for enforcing federal law. Britian has a huge problem with a very large and very militant muslim population bent on turning Great Britain into a muslim state under sharia law.

    There you go. This is how sharia law kicks in. Aided by the rule of law that sets aside one group as above and deserving of “special” law enforcement. I cannot even count the times I have seen the Bible burned by one protest or another. Aside from the protestations of various religious groups for the symbolism, the book is just a collection of papers and that God‘s words are held in one’s heart, not in a book.

      I agree. Within 30 years Islam will be the majority group in all British cities. Muslims do not want to assimilate into the host countries they chose to live in, instead they want to humiliate and then dominate and conqueror. Within the lifetime of anyone today in the UK who is 50 years or younger they will see Islamic Law of Sharia implimented in their major cities if not all of Britain. Because of low native European birth rates and massive Muslim immigration to Europe this is the dark veil and evil future of most if not all Western European countries.What I am saying is not Islamophobia but a demographic fact. We are watching history and a civilization die before our eyes as Western Christian Civilization destroys itself in Europe within a few generations after freeing itself from Nazism and Communism. Within 100 years Europe will look like Byzantium after the collapse of Constantinople in 1543: a Christian Civilization in ruins and dominated by Islam. When this happens a light of human genius and goodness will go out in the world never to be lit again not even by what is left of Westen Civilization: the United States of America, which by that time, will face a Europe allied to the Islamic world and an America dealing with it’s own domestic issues of Islamic attempts to dominate that country.

      Pennswood, what you’re spreading IS Islamophobia because your “facts” are flawed. While the birth rate of first generation immigrants is indeed higher than the birth rate of natives, the birth rates of second generation immigrants tend to equalize with the native birth rate or even drop below it. Luxurious and modern lifestyles tend to change the reproductive habits of people who live in them, no matter the religion.

When Muslim leaders brag that they will take over Europe “by the womb” as the leader of Tunesia said in the 1970′s before the UN in NYC and an Egyptian leader said the same thing only a few weeks ago in Egypt I think they have a point and I take their dreams of Jihad by the womb seriously. Muslim men can have as many as 4 wives and the dhimmi countries of Europe allow this concept which is denied in their countries’ to some Mormons and people of other faiths who recognize polygamy. Only Muslims are allowed to practice polygamy in many European nations today. Since Muslim families tend to be large it’s not fantasy to have a Muslim man with 4 wives having as many as 25 or 30 children is it? In the UK Muslim men who practice polygamy and were married to their wives outside the UK can bring these women into the UK and each of his wives can collect seperate welfare checks. Not a bad scam is it? Your econonic analogy misses the point that Muslims do not want to assimilate into their host nation’s culture and that the materialism and selfishness that has caused almost zero population growth among native Europeans has nothing to do with the new immigrant Muslim communities population growth in Europe by Muslims who have come either unknowingly or unknowingly to conquer Europe for Allah. Will they feel that you truly were a good person?     Have questions about a teenager burning this book as to how knowledgeable they are about the Koran, BUT in the same breath IM all for it, I think most Americans have run out of being tolorant to the Muslim/Islamic faith. We have a Federal Government cramming it down our throats organizations like CAIR crying wolf all the dayum time. Im sick of these dayum fanatics who hide behind there religious beliefs but yet want to slit our throats every chance they get. I was hopeing and praying that good preacher in Florida would be brave enough to express his 1st admendment right but it seemed he caved into Big Brother. Its time for America to show the dayum world that were 80% plus Christians and not some trash can for all the radicals to come and use “OUR Constitution” against us.       These yobs should be free to burn this material book and make a statement. To be given a talking-to by their mums is one thing. To be arrested by their govt., another thing altogether. WRONG and SCARY .. but sadly, today’s reality.

      Whatever happened to free expression? Don’t people have the right to vent their frustrations (and defuse their anger) through symbolic acts such as this? I understand the fear of potentially escalating violence, but it seems to me it’s usually the OTHER side that does the escalating.

    As long as the western governments keep treating Muslims and non-Muslims differently and giving the Muslims special rights out of so-called tolerance while all but persecuting Christians, this sort of thing will keep happening. No one wants to deny Muslims the right to live their religion peaceably. It is the Muslims who want to deny that same right to us. The frustration comes from dealing with progressive governments who think that accommodating those who want to restrict our religious freedoms is tolerance not surrender.

      Fear itself is one means that most governments will result to more and more as the leaders start to come unravelled and in danger of losing their cherished power bases. Anarchists, terrorists and those who seek rebellion will further the terror to stir up the pot and the temperature until it explodes.

      Look to the movie “V for Vendetta.” The man himself was a terrorist and a rebel seeking to bring down the government for the crimes done to him and his being denied justice. The message of the movie in one part is that justice is found in freedom FROM fear for EVERYONE. Equal justice from the highest to the lowest across the board; the basis of a truly free republic.

      Socialists, Marxists, and Progressives rule through FEAR, and FEAR alone. Only in freedom that guarantees the freedom and equality of all is there FREEDON to be FREE from FEAR.

      And it is this freedom that is being crushed into darkness about the world. Yet like in the movie, there is only so far you can push the people before they move to take matters back for themselves. May it be kept peacefull in America as we win back our beloved freedoms, and our land becomes greater than before.

      If we fail, we will pass alone into the night, never to emerge again.

Continue with the politically correct attitude and it will get worse. Maybe that’s why there is such a VERY large population of muslims there and a growing one in the U.S. (with your muslim demonstrations on the streets in many countries-ones that burn the U.S. and British flags.) None of them being charged with inciting hatred.

      They got this story wrong. She was arrested for illegally producing green house gases. Korans produce much more hot air than an ordinary book.
