Paparazzi attacker, frequent Huffington Post blogger, and Words With Friends/Twitter addict Alec Baldwin may seriously be considering a run for Mayor of the biggest city in the United States, says little brother Billy.
During an interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tuesday night, the younger Baldwin said his brother Alec; who spends most of his time acting as a star on NBC’s “30 Rock,“ has political aspirations that could be ”very real.”
Baldwin has teased on and off about running for Mayor of New York City for sometime, telling the New York Times in August 2011 that he could see himself running, just not in 2013 for he wants to first finish work on his television show, “30 Rock” and then go back to school.
Alec mumbled again in November about running for the office, then said in December that he lost his “appetite”for politics, then told Bloomberg Television in April that he “would love” to run for mayor when his contract with NBC ends.
It has since been announced that 2012-2013 will be the final “30 Rock” season.
“On one level, I think it’s very real. He’s very committed, he’s very bright, and knowledgeable, and I think he could do it, and he could run,” brother Billy Baldwin said on CNN Tuesday. “On the other hand, I‘m not quite sure if he’s cut from the proper cloth, because it requires a lot of tolerance, and a lot of patience.”
When Morgan supported concerns about Baldwin’s temper, his brother reminded the host though that “John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are quite the same and they are very successful and highly effective politicians.”
It can be said that Baldwin has previously expressed liberal political viewpoints.

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 10:11amHA, HA, HA! The best laugh I’ve had al day (It’s still early). He would be a perfect act to follow the loonie (Bloomberg) who is mayor now.
Just think of the fun you could have watching him punch out any reporter who asked a question he didn’t like. Pushing and shoveing his way through a crowd gathered between his mayorial mansion and his car.
NYC residents, you have already destroyed the business atmosphere in the city. Over taxation, over regulation , pandering to unions and a generally unfriendly attitude from the mayor and the city council are causing hundreds of business to flee to other states ( Florida, South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Arizona just to name a few) where businesses are welcomed, Right to Work laws are in place, where the businesses are welcomed as JOB PRODUCERS not JUST tax generators. States where an overly engendered state or city nannyism is non existant.
NYC Businessmen and financial gurus, if you are tired of over taxation, over regulation, being told what you can eat or drink, uncaring city officials who act like they are doing you a favor just coming to work and not really taking care of your problems, unreasonable union demands and even telling you when and where you can blow your nose, then it’s time to leave Bloom-nanny and his inane colleagues and let them stew in their own juices. There are many states that would welcome you as partners in growth and not just another tax source.

Posted on July 4, 2012 at 8:39pmBaldwin has the typical Long Island attitude which is mostly arrogant, snobbish and whiney these days. I am originally from L.I. (Levittown) volunteered for the Army/Viet Nam in the ‘69 and never went back except to visit. I eventually lost that nasally Long Island accent which I cannot stand when I hear it now, lol.
I have lived in New York (upstate) off and on until I Retired from the Army. I was there as a Recruiter/Recruiting Station Commader, then First Sergeant of a Recruiting Company in the ‘80’s. I left NY for good after moving back briefly after my Army Retirement and haven’t looked back.
Combine Baldwin’s arrogant NYC-lite attitude, arrogance and whineyness… combine that with Hollywood elitism, entitled mentality and it’s sheer lunacy… and you’ll have a Mayor most of NYC will love…

Posted on July 4, 2012 at 9:13pmDitto, I grew up in Babylon and been gone for nearly 20 years now. The accent is horrible and glad I lost mine too. Baldwin is a piece of **** who, sadly, would probably be worse then the self hating Jew they have now.

Posted on July 4, 2012 at 8:02pmWe live in a society where any madness is possible, even electing a cretin like Alec Baldwin as mayor of NY. If you don’t live there the only thing to do is to grab some popcorn and enjoy the show. If you do live in NYC and are smart you will leave. Its not going to be a good place to live no matter who is mayor.

Posted on July 4, 2012 at 7:55pmHes not really going to run I think. I bet hes just taking a page out of the Donald’s playbook. When you want more ratings for your tv shows, pretend you will run for an office, and BOOM ratings soar.
Then again, if he does go for mayor of NYC, a part of me said to myself, in that situation, I would never, ever go to NYC again…..but then I realized, I still go to San Francisco all the time and every mayor we have had for the last 50 years has been a joke. So what? Let him be mayor…whats he gonna do that bloomberg hasn’t already? He’d probably be better than bloomberg, he might be dumber, but he has less malicious intentions thats for sure.
