Liberals, Others Celebrate Andrew Breitbarts Death on Twitter When an individual passes away, regardless of his of her ideological positions, one would expect he or she would receive respect. In the case of new media mogul Andrew Breitbart, who died early in the morning on Thursday, there has been a surge of vile commentary spewing across the Twitterverse. From comparisons to Hitler to individuals tweeting that they are content the pundit has passed, the messages are disturbing at best.

Below, The Blaze has assembled some of the most disturbing messages we’ve seen on Twitter over the past few hours:

  Mediamatters and Arianna Huffington have both spoken in positive terms about Andrew Breitbart.
  
  I’ve read 2 threads (apart from this one) on theblaze today, and the names debbie WS has been called by posters on her, and the racism fluent in that racist email sent by a judge are equally appalling.
  
  Just because someone may be alive/dead, shouldn’t alter the way they are treated.
  
  It requires a stunning lack of awareness to post racist jokes about your president in one story, whilst bemoaning the terrible left for not fawning over someone who lied and misled people.

However, I am all for holding a person accountable for their personal actions and words and these people should be ashamed and have demonstrated the kind of character they possess.

I think a lot of the comments against the left/Progressives is a result of what started against the Tea Party and has escalated to a high pitched level by the Progressives.   I can only control my own actions and I would not say those kinds of things. They serve no purpose other than public bravado and to spread hate. There was a time that that kind of behavior would have been shameful enough that mothers would slap thier grown children up side the head for such behavior, but I guess nothing is shameful anymore. The person is dead and they will be judged by both God and history, no need to dance on their graves.

  We can only be responsible for our own actions. If you have nothing nice to say when someone dies, it is appropriate to just shut up. I believe I have pointed that out to some of the “conservative” posters here as well on several occasions.
  
  Death is not about the dead as they have already received any consequence for their choices in life. Death is about the living, and it is not our place to torture the families left behind. It serves no purpose other than to spread hate.
  
  So, rather than calling people out here for hypocrisy, go call out your own it will be much more effective in stopping the hate…. or perhaps your motivations just to forment more of it?

  No doubt many of these people actually believe that Breitbart was racist, et al, so it’s not surprising or abnormal for someone to be happy about the death of someone they believe is evil.
  
  Just be willing to show these people the evidence of what Breitbart was saying, and many will come around. Remember: a lot of their beliefs follow from a misunderstanding of economics (belief that the free market is exploitative, etc.).
  
  Correct the economic misunderstandings, and you will be well on your way to winning these people over.

  That’s a great idea, Nunforprofitorg, but Mr. Beck, and to be fair, all other talking heads, make their money by keeping people polarized and fearful some bogeyman. There are a lot of bogey men here on the Blaze including atheists, gays, muslims, any liberal pundit, lots of American Jews, and whomever else Mr. Beck can cook up to keep his audience, and more importantly, the sponsors for whom he shills, happy. Give him credit, he knows his audience.

I was at a conf last summer where he and James O’Reilly spoke. They were both awesome.

  It’s similar to the footage of Iraqis hanging the charred remains of helicopter pilots from a bridge and poking them with sticks and dancing around them. Or of coruse…when “Palestinians” danced in the streets as the twin towers fell. These are the left’s allies in their “struggle” to enslave mankind.   Or at least he completely ignored what Breitbart was saying(as far as I know) and did NOT let breitbart speak on his TV show for clarification purposes.

  They always belittle others as ignorant, stupid, etc. They never say what their credentials are, so I doubt they have any educational foundation other than they have an opinion or an axe to grind and these comment streams are the perfect place to do so because no one will punch them in the face.

  I‘m often on HuffPo and his kind aren’t much different over there around their peers. It is vicious if they disagree with you (which is often) and the condescension and smug attitudes over there are through the roof…the more factual evidence you present the worse they attack/deny your source.
