What is missing from this discussion? God God and God. The 10 Commandments. The Moral Order. Truth.

What else should we expect from kids when we tell them God is dead and it‘s ok to dismember unborn babies in their mothers’ wombs, and gee, by chance, it wasn’t them?

Sort of changes your perspective doesn’t it?

God have mercy on us all. He is just letting us reap what we sowed.

You have hit the nail on the head. We, as a nation, have mocked the ten commandments and therefore the citizens of this country no longer have a moral code to go by. Every single one of the Ten are violated in our society. Oh, and “social justice”???? That is coveting and stealing your neighbor’s goods!

No one in our small business has a college degree – we call ourselves graduates of HKU (Hard Knock University). We did however, employ a young woman who graduated from Rollins College, supposedly a high end communications school with a degree in journalism, at one time. One of her most classic literary flashes of genius was when she emailed me about someone who did something that we appreciated. She thought sending him a hat and shirt from our business would be a nice “jester.” We no longer hire college grads.

Stupid punk. I never cheated EVER in any school i went to. What a pathetic excuse that needs to be kicked out of school like many are. I busted my ass to get a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and there isn’t anything liberal about that. I had to absolutely STUDY and learn and am proud of it. I never even heard of Florida University. For a minute I thought they meant UF. What an embarrassment to UF and Florida schools. In College you frequently are allowed Cheat Sheets as we called them. Really that guy should be kicked out of that school for saying its OK to cheat and everyone does it. PUKE

this is terrible, am I shocked, no! I am glad that the teacher caught it before Graduation. It is such a shame that these students cheated. I cheated in grade school only once and got caught. My teacher drove me home and talked to my mom for hours. I was not allowed in the house while they talked. I thought I was dead meat when it was over. They were just having a great time chatting away and by the time it was over they had almost forgotten why the teacher had come over. I didn’t cheat again.

Mr. Ravvin is so totally busted in terms of job interviews. When a recruiter sees his name on an application, it’s gonna be, “Where have I heard that name before?” He WILL be Goggled and not offered ANY interviews. A worse looking candidate could not be found. Michael Vick had better luck being rehired after his transgressions.

I don’t know how to label interviewed student # 2 other than “more typical than we want to accept”. I taught school for 17 years and caught a few cheaters throughout those years. My students knew I would not tolerate it … as I walked the aisles while testing was going on. Then I found out that the most “prized” teacher in one of the schools where I taught helped her entire class on the CRT’s every year. The end results? Since the administration either didn’t know about it. (doubt it) Or more likely chose to turn their heads … she received additional annual stipends because the local university would send their student teachers to work with her. Then a year later I found out that a principal at another school in the same system encouraged his entire teaching staff to aid their students on the CRT’s. So, again … and I hate to say it … but the second student … was (almost) right. It all follows logic as to why there are more and more college graduates who either expect the business world to be waiting impatiently at the door to give them a nice & cushy high-paying job. Or as to why there are more and more who upon graduation have absolutely no idea what to do with their degrees. “Four years. What are you going to do now?“ ”I dunno”. Why worry? ObamaCare says they can stay home and mooch off mom and dad until they are 26.

“Everybody cheats” but those of us who don’t are the ones who end up being cheated.

Surprising? No. With society presenting the image that anything goes, why would that student know any better… everyone cheats is probably closer to the truth…
considering that most younger people don’t have any moral base and are encouraged by liberal society to be that way…. what else do people think is going to happen?

How many examples do we need to know this country is going to crap… girls getting breast implants for their 16th birthday, parents thinking it is ok for kids 14 years old to be having sex…oh, sorry, Bill Clinton said blow jobs aren’t sex, forgot…. insisting God has no place in the public square and religious people should be ridiculed (a liberal favorite)… its a friggin disaster.

Sadly, UCF has a good reputation and is part of Alan Grayson’s district, so some of them must have helped vote him out. Michael Jordan’s son goes there. I feel so badly for that professor who obviously cares deeply about his students and their moral character to go to all the trouble of figuring out who is guilty. He could have stayed quiet and let the cheaters get away with it but he didn’t and I admire his integrity for that. Recognition where recognition is due. I hope those young men and women have learned a valuable life’s lesson – better now than later.

      @Grandmaof5

Read many of the posts this morning, and indeed I wonder if the fact of this cheating scandal could be a ‘lead by example and complaint’ inspired by Grayson. In seminary two cheating scandals had been uncovered, and when the one professor threatened to expell the whole class due to three of the students actions (out of 30 in the class) many of us demanded on the spot to be individually retested and in front of other school teachers.

It turned out what suprised him, and set off the tyrade of wanting to expell more than the three actual cheaters, was so many of us had scored ‘above average levels of grades’ simply due to the fact that many of us had spent the last three weeks hammering away in preperation for the exams. And for anyone asking the tests were not easy, not even close.

Ya know, maybe he should be arrested and assigned to the same cell as the dingbat who told the judge that it didn‘t matter that he hacked Palin’s email address because he didn’t find anything that he could use to derail her campaign. Snowleopard – When I was in college, I was taking an advanced, invitation only course on Western European History. One of my friends was also in the class with me. It was a heavy workload, so my friend and I decided that we would go to the library for an hour every night and work out outlining the text into our notebooks so we’d have some comprehension of the material. We did. Even though we sat on opposite sides of the room, we scored pretty much the same and gave very similar answers. Both of us were called into the professor’s office and had a little meeting with the Dean of Students and the professor. Although we were shocked, we were allowed to go get our notebooks and once the Professor and the Dean saw what we had done, it was really evident we had seriously studied hard. It didn’t hurt that we also had a standing library reservation for a “study cubby”.

Sadly, people will try to get away with anything they think they can pull off, and lots of stuff they can’t. Most of the time, those stunts end up hurting the slick-meister more than anyone else, but it’s hard to convince people of that. Maybe, just maybe, some of those who had to come forward to admit they were cheating, learned something.

      rogue, Truth, Education Abnormality?
Learning to cheat, starts way before college, continues way beyond college and includes all those who fail to attend college. Application at the ballot box is just one of innumerable opportunities. And my impression is that, much election falsifications occurs with no aid of college preparation or aptitude.

I‘d hate to be the parents of the ’everybody dose it’ student. Thursday, and way into the weekend is going to be unbearable. Might one or both of them get demoted, passed over or even frivolously fired in the coming months. Who could, or should, trust the parents of this son. I know it ain’t fair to punish the parents for the sins of a come of age son. But you got to wonder where he learned such crap and who supports his blunt declarations. Businesses have to protect themselves. I think the University ought to let this student graduate awarding him a blank diploma and a note saying all his academic records have been scrubbed from their database. After all, everybody cheats. Cheating is the rule, that when turned back onto self, all of a sudden becomes, well… cheating. Cheating is a one way street paved with destruction of self, family, friends, community and nation.

This is one more nail in the confine of modern higher education that produced most of our Washington DC crowd.

If they catch the students cheating in large numbers, there is a fairly simple solution I have read of for teachers to use. When they have the basic exam prepared, just rearrange the order some of the questions appear in. In one batch question #3, may become #12 in the second batch, and #7 in the third. This reduces greatly the chance of cheating – and if they are caught directly cheating on their exams then flunk them on the spot.

Well guess what, cheaters, the world DOES NOT work that way. It’s NOT ok to cheat. Do they actually think some business is going to hire them if they cheated to get through school, instead of putting the work in? And what about the students that didn’t cheat? If they are in this class, they are going to be labeled as a cheater even though they didn’t! A valuable lesson to high school seniors, cheating will NEVER get you ahead, and don‘t buy in to the progressives’ nonsense, it doesn’t work in the real world!!!

My dad told me he gave me a name with honor and that I had better not ever dishonor it in any way because my name was all I had when every thing else was stripped away. Now every student that graduates or attends this college will carry this taint of dishonesty. But then some will cheer them on because people with honor are feared because they can not be corrupted.
