Busted: RNC Catches Obama Recycling Economic Speech…Again

Obama’s economic speech from Thursday in Cleveland has been maligned by both the Left and the Right and even the press. Some panned it as uninspiring. And maybe that‘s because they’ve heard it before.
The eagle-eyed RNC noticed the the speech on Thursday mimicked one he gave in April:
This isn’t the first time Obama’s been caught doing it. Most famously, he’s been busted recycling elements of his State of the Union speeches.

Posted on June 15, 2012 at 9:53pmWhat does Lincoln and obama have in common? Well, Our “revered” Abraham Lincoln did violate the constitution with contempt when he suspended Habeas Corpus. In 1861, Lincoln had already suspended civil law in territories where resistance to the North’s military power would be dangerous. In 1862, when copperhead democrats began criticizing Lincoln’s violation of the Constitution, Lincoln suspended habeas corpus throughout the nation and had many copperhead democrats arrested under military authority because he felt that the State Courts in the north west would not convict war protesters such as the copperheads. He proclaimed that all persons who discouraged enlistments or engaged in disloyal practices would come under Martial Law.
Among the 13,000 people arrested under martial law was a Maryland Secessionist, John Merryman. Immediately, Hon. Roger B. Taney, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States issued a writ of habeas corpus commanding the military to bring Merryman before him. The military refused to follow the writ. Justice Taney, in Ex parte MERRYMAN, then ruled the suspension of habeas corpus unconstitutional because the writ could not be suspended without an Act of Congress. President Lincoln and the military ignored Justice Taney’s ruling.

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 1:02amNot even close to being in Lincoln’s shoes. First off, Lincoln had to deal with the impossible: preserve and maintain the Union while ending slavery. To succeed, he had to do a few unmentionable acts, yes Habeas Corpus was one of the unmentionable acts. But then, you have to think about who it was used against. Mention the Copperheads to any historian, and they will say that the Copperheads were totally unreasonable at the core of their argument.. You can liken them to Paul Bots in that respect. It wasn’t that they were ignoble in what they were asking for, it was that the situation called for something more realistic, that the Utopian goal of simply talking was not enough. Not to mention, the Copperheads sought to undermine the Union army’s effort in fighting the Confederates, that’s the main reason why they were rounded up.
When you try to tie Lincoln to anything Obama is attempting to do, Barry O couldn‘t carry Abe’s jock in terms of doing the right thing, even when others felt you were doing wrong. Lincoln believed in doing for self and being self reliant, not relying on others to do for you, government included. That Government should be the absolute last recourse to any issue you’re faced with. Not like Obama attempting to make the first. Even their records aren’t alike. Lincoln was more than ‘present’, he was actually quite active. It’s obvious that Obama knows as much about Lincoln, as we do about Obama’s past.

Same ol‘ rhetoric that distorts the truth about his record and says nothing about how he’s going to pull us out of this mess. I wonder – are there any stats on how frequently presidents appear on TV? It just seems like the current Prez is on way more than any previous president. His campaign strategy seems to be very simple: get on TV and be charming; it doesn’t matter that you are saying the same thing over and over again.

Bear in mind…Obama made his speech writer-Jon Favreau- his highest paid staffer so this shows you how reliant Obama is on appearances rather than reality. This makes his plagarizing of himself even more insulting.
Obama is on autopilot. He’s just going through the motions, reading “cut and pasted” lines from the teleprompter. This is why on two occasions in his speeches Obama has referred to having two sons when in fact, he has two daughters and no sons (ok..if he had a son he would look like Trayvon Martin).
Obama has always had a terrible work ethic so laziness of course is a factor in this.
As a “clean articulate black man” in a democrat cocoon Obama has never been challenged. He’s been coddled and adored throughout his adult life simply on WHAT he is to liberals..not WHO he is. Couple this with his clear narcissism and self approval and you have a man that doesn’t get told the true state of things outside his bubble.
If there ever was a man out of touch with the real world..it’s Barack Obama.
