‘By The…Mighty Sword of Allah’: Scary Graffiti Found in Airplane Restroom

Some eerie graffiti with Islamic extremist references was found in an airplane restroom this week in Newark, NJ. So eerie, in fact, that officials notified the TSA. But according to the Port Authority, the local law enforcement body that oversees the Newark airport, it took the TSA over 45 minutes to respond. Even worse? The message was erased before the TSA got there.

“By the beard of Mohamed and mighty sword of Allah,” the message, scribbled in black in just above the mirror, said according to the New York Post.  It was found on a Continental Airlines jet Saturday night.

Accoring to the Post, the message was found by a flight attendant, who then took a picture and notified the captain. The captain in turn notified the operations center, which then notified the TSA. And that’s where the story takes a controversial, and disputed, turn.

The Port Authority says it took the TSA 47 minutes to respond. But the TSA told the Post it got back to the Port Authority “within a few short minutes.”

During the alleged delay, that’s when a cleaner came through the plane and wiped the message clean.

“The delay severely compromised the integrity of a crime scene,” one official told the Post.

As Atlas Shurgs points out, it seems a little odd that officials responded so quickly earlier this week to throw a man off a plane for saying the f-word, but yet can’t scramble fast enough, or coordinate efforts, to gather evidence in this instance.

Odd, indeed.

    I recently flew from Utah to Kentucky and had to be searched. I’m an american citizen, born and bread in California, I’m a white middle class married woman. I have not heard of American Citizens blowing up planes, or threatening the lives of Americans in the name of Allah. If there are then they are not true Americans, loyal to their country and willing to sacrifice their lives in the name of the United States of America. In my humble opinion the airport is where profiling should be okay. I read a story recently where a man dressed in his muslim garb was given a pass to AVOID the TSA agents because of his religious beliefs. Yet me, coming from Utah to Kentucky (neither of which state has anything special enough to blow up) and back again was searched for anything that could be considered “terrorist”. We have gotten so far away from being “ONE NATION UNDER GOD” that the majority of people don’t know their mouth from their a$$ holes.

    I have seen signs put up by muslims before. It was 1979. Those signs where anti American Anti Capitalist anti Christian. They where written in Arabic. What we did was write to change the message printing just below thier words we wrote Merry Christmas Happy New Year Happy you get the drift. The signs did not stay up long. That is the only time i have seen Aramaic writing. This is another good reason for the TSA to be dismantled. FBI and the local police department would have done better job. TSA did no job.

    The right to privacy should remain in the bathrooms on a plane, but the airlines need to put into place security cameras and record all that goes in and out of the bathrooms, just to keep a heads up on who is doing what and recorded onto the black boxes just in case the plane goes down for some reason. The technology is there, why don’t we impliment it!

    You have Imperialist Islam like Iran who wants to control other Muslim countries.

    You now have Socialist Islam. It’s a strange blend of radical socialists with Islam. It’s main goal is to use political tactics to isolate the Muslim world from the Capitalist West and ultimately destroy it. You are seeing this in Egypt.
    Then there’s the “baby bomb.” The other front in the war is in the maternity ward. Muslims continue to have huge families while we continue to have smaller ones. Estimates are that the EU will be 60% by 2050 or sooner.

    These are just the obvious ones. The end game is the same: a world under the complete control of 1 or more Muslim countries or a Caliphate, if you will.

Now, if any of you morons took a second to learn anything about Islam, you would have a better idea of why this is likely to have been a hoax. Islam includes many, many specific rules for relieving onself, including what hand to use to touch your naughty parts, and the fact that it is forbidden to urinate facing Mecca. Now, given these rules, do you think that a hardcore Muslim would think it wise to write these things in a bathroom? In English no less!

      Yes I am aware of all of that. That was not my point. My point is this, people were alarmed at what was written. Why were they alarmed? Because of the history regarding airlines and Islam. There is nothing wrong with being alarmed by what was written. I’m sure that people would have been alarmed with the words “Firey death awaits us all”. There is also nothing wrong with being concerned that the TSA which is there to protect us took so long to respond. That is the point I was trying to make, and I believe that is the point the article was trying to make.

      TheBlaze, hire someone who has SOME experience in graphic arts & webpage design AT LONG LAST! Dump the ridiculous 5-times-too-big fonts, the awkward & nonstandard commenting system, the absurd everything-on-one-page, et al, ad nauseam!! This whole thing looks like some kind of supermarket tabloid rag. Therefore I’m citing you for “publishing without talent” … see the judge and pay the fine (Cass Sunstein loves you).

      I’m really over the use of the term “Muslim extremist” by the Blaze, Fox News etc.
