By the Numbers: Since Filing to Run for President Again Obama Has…

On April 4th, 2011, President Barack Obama filed the required paperwork to run for re-election. So, what has happened since that time?

  • Number of Obama campaign fund raising events – 200 (CBS reporter Mark Knoller reported on the milestone this weekend and gave us all a frame of reference using data from George W. Bush’s fund raising numbers during the same period.)
What Has Obama Done Since He Filed Re election Papers
  • Rounds of Golf – 45 – There are several sites tracking this number – one of them is ObamaGolfCounter.com

What Has Obama Done Since He Filed Re election Papers
  • Meetings that Obama had with his Jobs Council - 1 -  And that meeting was in January of 2012. In July, the Romney campaign claimed that the President has not met with this vital council in the past six months. That claim has been supported by PolitiFact.  What Has Obama Done Since He Filed Re election Papers
The curious thing about President Obama and his Jobs Council, he was told the country how important the unemployment problem is…  In fact, the President has made several statements about how focused he will be on this vital issue. Here are a few quotes from Mr. Obama on this vital topic.
“I/we will not rest…
  • –until we are succeeding in generating the jobs this economy needs.
  • – until businesses are investing again, businesses are hiring again.
  • – until we build an economy that‘s ready for America’s future.
  • – until every American who is ready and able finds a job.
If you would like to hear the President making these and other statements, watch the video posted below.

(Note that Mr. Burtless did not compare the growth during the terms of George H.W. Bush or Jimmy Carter as each served but one term.) Each and every one of these two-timers, except Eisenhower, had double digit job growth compared to either 4.5 percent or 7 percent for George W. Bush, depending on which measuring tool you prefer to use.

So what does this data tell us?

For starters, given that all of these two-term presidents experienced better job growth without the assistance of the massive tax cuts for the wealthy provided by President George W. Bush, it certainly seems fair to note that a certain amount of job growth would have come during the years George W. was president—whether he had given us the tax cuts or not.

And if one feels the need to argue that tax cuts are the great driver of employment, the comparative numbers presented make it shockingly clear that these tax benefits to the wealthy do little to nothing to even keep up with the employment increases under all of the other two term presidents of the modern era, with the exception of poor old Ike.

Nobody likes to pay taxes. We can—and will—have more endless debates over whether we should r

Certainly he hasn’t improved our image around the world. And, please, don’t say Obamacare. If you believe that, you are either under the impression it will be free (if you are eligible for it to be free, then most likely you already have free health care), have little knowledge of what the provisions are, haven’t a clue as to will be taking on the cost for the millions who are getting for free, don’t understand that your choices will be few……the treatment you receive will be decided by those “who know best”…..the board……men, who with no medical background, who will make this decision for you. You should try talking to a few doctors. Many are planning on quitting their practice. If you had just finished paying off hundreds of thousands in school loans, would you accept the goverment mandating all doctors were to be paid the same, regardless of their specialty. Our elected officials may not have read the health care bill, but your probably has.

There are three basic reactions to Obama’s ease with lying. 1) People who are angry at the disregard for any trace of honesty. 2) People who know he’s lying but believe that you need to lie to get what you want. 3) People who are clueless to what he is saying and belief everything that comes out of his mouth not matter how ridiculous. I know we can go head to head with the second group but the sheeple are sheeple and I doubt anything can turn them from their path. And down in Florida, a state where the senior citizen vote is crucial, vulnerable Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson could barely contain his glee at the opportunity to attack the Ryan budget.
The reality is that Ryan is now every Republicans’ running mate whether they like it or not, forcing GOP candidates who would just as soon run from the debate over senior citizen entitlements to embrace the third rail of American politics like never before.
One GOP insider lamented that party leaders “have spent the last year” trying to take Medicare off the political front burner, but the Ryan pick “puts it all back out there now.”

One could only LOGICALLY conclude 2 THINGS, from every time Obama said:

“ We need to get the Economy Growing and Generate Jobs”.

    1) HE DOESN‘T KNOW WHAT THE HECK HE’S DOING.
    OR
    2) HE’S LIEING, AS USUAL….AGAIN.

This CLAIM of working on improving the Economy and generating Jobs FOR 4 YEARS
PROVES HE IS INCAPABLE OF DOING THE JOB
    AND/OR
BOTH HE AND HIS COUNCIL ARE INCOMPETENT.

There is NO EXCUSE OR REASON for a RE-election for him.
And, HOW some people DON’T SEE THIS…IS AMAZING!

And, this is just 2 AREAS of FAILURES IN HIS HIDDEN AGENDA.
The lack of growth/improvement of the Economy & Jobs are the RESULTS
of his STALLS & WITH-HOLDINGS, preventing doing what IS REQUIRED
    for improvement & growth.

Obama does know what he is doing he is taking apart our economic system and our constitution. He lie’s all the time on just about everything except his Socialist vision, his biggest challenge is getting reelected and so far he is holding his own in a situation where he should be losing badly which is scary as hell. If he prevails the country will collapse one way or the other and it will not be do to incompetence quite the opposite he is doing this all on purpose. His spending is out of control, he is ignoring job creation and he is expanding food stamp benefits to illegals and Mexican citizens across the boarder (Cloward/ Piven strategy). If you want to change the country to Socialist or a Marxist State you have to tear down the economic system let it all fall. Revolutions always bring sacrifice everyone loses something or everything the leaders of such movements understand this and don’t care. Obama does not care, his cabinet does not care, his party does not care and the MSM does not care or they would not be ignoring all that he has done and not done and the damage and loss of liberty that comes with it. They all know that things will get much worse than they are now but they all foolishly believe that a Utopian Society will rise from their efforts. Unfortunately if they win in November we are all going to see the fall of this great nation and the rise of a dictator.

      You’re ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

Yes, I KNOW, Obama knows exactly what he’s doing.
I said ” He doesn‘t know what the heck he’s doiing”, as THE minimum
      one could conclude.

YES – IT TAKES QUITE A BIT OF PRECISION & SKILL TO DISMANTLE
OUR ECONOMY AND DO IT IN SUCH A WAY (lie) THAT PEOPLE WOULD
BELIEVE AND GO ALONG WITH IT…which is what he has obviously done.

THOSE PEOPLE are those who believe & want Socialism and/or
those who have NO CLUE OR REFUSE TO SEE WHAT HE’S DOING and
      WORSHIPPERS OF OBAMA.

For Obama’s ratings to be as high as they are currently- there HAS TO BE
some juggling of Poll Numbers by the Media AND the groups of people described
above – who support anything he does, his Socialist Plan included.

    Obama plans to -
Redistribute wealth any way he can
He will follow the Cloward Piven strategy
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloward%E2%80%93Piven_strategy
That stragegy in a nutshell is to SPEND us into a crisis — and at that point, Obama can do anything he wants.
Among those things he will do is to OFFER “free stuff” to voters IF they keep him in power.
(And tell voters that they will NOT be getting “free stuff” from the other candidates)

Once that has come full circle – our county will be finished as we know it.
They will HAVE to Tax the rich (and everyone else for that matter) in order to keep up the “free stuff” to the voters.

    We will be Greece
    We will be France
    We will be England

And as Margaret Thacher said – “The only problem with Socialism is you eventually run out of other people’s money”

IF WE ARE LUCKY – our currency will hold up. If we are not – we are in for a depression that will make 1929 look like a birthday party.

I agree with Glenn in the fact that in the long run – God will be the way out.
In the short run — I am afraid that the lack of God will be what we choose.

I didn’t read anything in this article that said that 8% was the “magic number”, or that it is acceptacle. In actuallity, 8% is not acceptacle and we have been over that for more like 42 months, not just 16 months. But the reason that everyone, not just Mike Opeda, talks about 8% as though it is a magic number is because Barrack Obama said, at the beginning of his presidency, that if congress would pass the “stimulas package” then the unemployment rate would never go above 8% and he would have saved us from a “depression” in our economy. And as we all know this never happened! Just one of the multiple & continuing lies that would come out of this administration.

Being out on the golf course means they cannot be recorded. I hope the GOP has several expert lip readers with binoculars following both of them. There is equipment used by the KGB that can pick up sound 1/2 mile away.

@Muffy…The problem is that Leftist lips cannot be read. It is an impossibility. There lips move like they are saying one thing but the words that come out are something else. They double talk, back talk, circle talk and so on. Their lips are controlled by their puppet master, the King of all Liars.

Somehow, none of this surprises me. Corruption is everywhere in the Obama administration.

I wish I could play 45 rounds of golf in a year, must be nice to be that rich!

At my local course that I like to play it cost in the $45 range to play 18 with a cart, take that times 45 rounds, that over $2,000.00
While that might not seem like a lot of money, when the conversation on their side is that “these rich people are out of touch”
guess what, over $2,000 on golf in a couple months, is out of touch for the normal person.

(if someone can afford to play that much golf more power to them, if i could i would, however i am not the president that made a hissy out of Bush playing golf a couple times as president)
