Cris & Kates Clothing Line Gives Brittany Molina a Modeling Gig

Brigham Young University, Utah, student Brittany Molina was granted her 15 minutes of fame following the now-infamous note she received from another student on Valentine’s Day. As you may recall, rather than a loving gesture, the letter targeted Molina’s “provocative” clothing and the purportedly negative impact her style has on men and women, alike.

Following the media frenzy that followed after she posted the note on Twitter, Molina has been sent flowers, candy and now — she’s been given a modeling job.

According to the Daily Mail, Molina was hired by designer Cris Pulsipher of Cris & Kate’s clothing line. In an interview, Pulsipher explained, “Brittany had been through a discouraging time after receiving that note and we wanted to turn a negative into a positive, so we got in touch with her.”

The college student was a bit surprised to hear from the company, but she was happy to sign on board for the modeling opportunity. “I got some cute clothes, and they’re really nice ladies,” she said. “I was trying to help them out — promote their business.”

Pulsipher, who runs the company with business partner Kate Erwin, went on to call Molina a “humble and positive person” who is a good fit for the company’s brand. Cris & Kate’s clothing line is available in stores across the state of Utah.

The “Honor Code” that all new students of BYU are required to sign is simply a tool the University uses… To expell any student they want to.

Remember their Quarterback of years ago… Jim McMahon, from the Chicago Bears? He signed the honor code but was a drunkin party boy. He also won almost all of his games at BYU so… They turned their eyes on his belligerent behavior. He was never charged with violating the honor code even though everyone on campus knew he did.

Then there was Ronnie Jenkins. A young black running back that to this day still holds the record for the most yards gain on the ground in a high school football game, well over 600 yards, there was a rumor that he had sex with a female student and he was expelled. He transfered to NAU and then was drafted by the San Diego Chargers. That was on a rumor, there was nobody else in the bedroom but he and the girl… If it ever happened. No girl was charged or expelled.

Any kid that signs that Honor Code agreement is a fool…

She is gorgeous and would look great in anything. BYU is a Mormon University and Mormon men are allowed more than two wives but in the US only one wife and many friends. Why can’t people now have more than one spouse if homosexuals can marry?

None of the pictures of her and her modest clothes are the ones referred to in the note. The first two photos were taken as promotional shots for the clothing line and were taken after she received the note that got all the attention. The beautiful dresses are completely acceptable by BYU standards. The student’s note referred to other clothing she had been wearing over time to class, not the particular set of clothes she wore in the third photo the day she got the note.

This now is starting to look like a publicity stunt. Anyways, the girl is pretty she should model is she wants to. If the letter was real, the guy/girl who wrote it is a loser. As for the BYU rules, well that is a control for you. God is the only one who tells me what I can and cannot do. The thing that amazing about the way God talks to people is that everyone hears it differently. That‘s the way the light’s divided, and that’s why God only spoke to all the Children of Israel only once, because twice would have wiped them out. Because when God speaks to people for example about the nakedness of the heart, one person will decide to be honest exposing his heart and not doing people wrongly, but another 15 or 20 will strip off their clothes and run around butt naked thinking that’s what nakedness means, because that what their own fruit tells them it is. And as for every Commandment that comes from God, all people hear the Commandments differently in their Heart. Therefore when the Lord speaks, there will be billions of people running around doing their own thing.

Running around doing their own thing, the way their own fruit defines just how things should really be, and they will be looking for mountains that have the same fruit as them begging them to fall on them to hide them. Therefore when the Lord speaks for example there will be thousands of people who strip off their clothes and they will flee to gather with other people who have stripped off their clothes. Safety in numbers or another way to put it, begging for the mountains to fall on them.

Moreover the things that are happening are good things, and the Lord is shining his light upon the varying fruit of people. The same way a kitchen may be dark with no light on, but it will appear to be clean and organized, but suddenly when the light is turned on we see all the cockroaches all over the floor and counter.

And consider this: all the walls and channels that have been built around people. Walls that conflict with other walls, the rich against the poor, and poor against the rich, blacks against whites and white against blacks, etc, etc. – gutters by the thousands – Gog and Magog from the four corners of the earth. And all those gutters have been digged by Progressives of one era or another. See you have been gathered to battle by all the gutter diggers. And when God shines his light, you will all be spun about against each other because of those gutters.

this is nothing more than busy bodies wanting to control other people. it is a problem that is becoming increasingly irritating. all the way from government mandates to your neighbor measuring your grass to see if it is too high. i think we have lost so much of our freedom that some people feel the need to have control over something, however small, even if they themselves then become the tyrant and infringe on others rights.

This girl just proved the boy who gave her this letter was right. I feel bad for her parents. BYU will be forced now to kick her out of school as it is impossible to live up to the honor code and be a model. Backless, Sleeveless, Tank Tops etc. Can not be done. In fact most likely she will be forced to model in underwear truly sluttish behavior.

A picture does not show the evil side of the outfit. It clings to the body in erotic ways with patterns (black on black) drawing the eyes to the wrong places. A girl in our LDS ward wore the same dress despite many asking her to not wear it she persisted. After parents do not know what is right schools do. Well she no longer wears it as it does not fit her growing tummy.

Absent the bats their is no difference between the morality police of Saudi and BYU. Of course do you expect anything less from a Univeristy named after a terrorist that ordered the death of American citizens on 9/11.

      No difference?

BYU honor code broken you no longer can go to school there. Dress policy only applies to those that choose to go to school there. The girl continued to go to church no problem. Yet it seems some here feel we should have no freedom of speech to say that immodest clothing offends us. Or set rules for our private institutions.

Saudi Arabia Improper clothing in burning school you die. Anywhere else you are arrested and punished severely.

I understand many disagree with the dress policy at BYU. Fine there are many other schools one may attend. No one is forced in any way to attend BYU.

I love it when men comment about women’s clothing – a topic they know nothing about. When you dictate what is modest or not modest you become no different than Muslim men dictating women wear the hijab or the burka. It is your weakness that dictates these things; so rather than chastise the women for your weakness, you need to learn to recognize your failings and beg for forgiveness. If she is showing cleavage then we can talk, seeing a little bit of her neck is nothing. If you get all tingly from seeing some neck, then maybe you should visit a Catholic priest for confession; then go back your Bishop in your Ward to pray.

The code is about more than dress standards. This girl is cute, and she was modestly dressed, so the boy who handed her the note was a nut job.
