Cain on Race: ‘This Many White People Can’t Pretend That They Like Me’

During an event at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. Monday, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain struck down the notion presented by reporters questioning if Cain believed his recent campaign success could be fueled by conservatives trying to prove that they are not racist.
“This many white people can’t pretend that they like me,” said Cain.
When asked if Cain thought frustration towards President Obama from many Americans had anything to do with the color of his skin, Cain said, “I don’t think people being uncomfortable with this president has anything to do with race. It is bad policy.”
Cain said that there has been more racial tension than in recent years past because of the president’s rhetoric and policy, which Cain believes has ignited class warfare and divided the country.
Cain has not shied away from addressing issues of race in the past. Cain’s Meet the Press interview earlier this month gained considerable media attention after Cain commented that he preferred the term “Black American” rather than African-American. The Washington Times notes that Cain has contrasted his black experience with that of President Obama, saying that after growing up in the racially segregated South, he’s still connected with the trials and travails of the black community. Cain said in early October that the president “has never been a part of the black experience in America.”

He is the only one who keeps bringing it up besides people like Sharpton, and who really cares what THEY say.

Posted on November 2, 2011 at 5:41pmV-Man… Have you lost your mind?!!!! That is all the lame-stream media and the democratic party talks about. They are the ones that are pulling the race card. If they stopped, then Mr. Herman Cain would not have to talk about it. He is only responding to charges brought about by a passe party that pretends to represent a self proclaimed bourgeois horde of malcontents. 99% my backside!!!! They are nothing more than hypocrites, thugs and lazy POS’s that want something without actually working for it, and the democratic party is pandering to them… promising “vote for us and you wont have to work, we’ll support you with actual working peoples income.

Cain could be purple with pink and yellow polka dots if there were such a people, and i would not care, if i like his stance in politics i will vote for him, and this is something that libs just dont get.

Let’s get positive again about what can be accomplished in America and not apologize about our country!! His color is absolutely irrelevant!

Posted on October 31, 2011 at 7:13pmI like Herman Cain because he is conservative, well grounded, smart, honorable, trustworthy, faith filled, reverant, and comfortable in his own skin. He has achieved his success through hard work, and is a likeable, strong, individual and is a fine leader. He is at his best when he doesn’t think too hard about an answer, and just speaks from the heart. Conservatives get that. Progressives have tried to eradicate those virtues. (Took a while, but see how all that manipulation has backfired on progressives}? Cain 2012!

My son-in-law is a died in the wool democrat and he prefers Cain over Obumbler in fact he would vote for almost anybody but Obumbler. Posted on October 31, 2011 at 6:09pmCain, Carpe Diem!
Obama’s birth certificate alleges “where” he was born and his parent’s citizenship “when” he was born. These equally important “facts” are now beyond Obama’s ability to refute, alter or hide! Unless fake, his Kenyan father inescapably precludes his Constitutional eligibility as a natural born citizen by not being born within US jurisdiction to TWO US citizen parents.
Candidates for President, each having “legal standing” are therefore obligated to sue Obama and the DNC for fraud and failure to qualify as a natural born citizen, or be dismissed as untrustworthy!
Constitution, Art. 2, Sec. 1, “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible … .”
Exempting a “citizen” from being a “natural born citizen” proves they aren’t equal, or no exemption was needed. Being not less than nor equal, a NBC must be more than the minimum requisite for citizenship then, which was US birth to a US citizen parent. Only US birth to US citizen parents (plural) is greater, thus defining a natural born citizen.
The Supreme Court agreed in Minor v. Happersett, 1874. “The Court held that Minor was a member of the “class” of persons who were natural born citizens. They defined this class as those born in the US to “parents” (plural) who were citizens.” Leo Donofrio, JD.

In U.S. v Wong Kim Ark, 1898, the court simply ruled that Wong Kim Ark was a citizen. “Since Wong Kim Ark didn’t fit into the class of natural-born citizens as defined by Minor, the Court looked to the 14th Amendment to grant him US citizenship.” Leo Donofrio, JD.
Amendment 14, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, … .“ Being ”subject to the jurisdiction” matters.
“Citizenship wasn’t acquired by birth on US soil prior to the 1965 Immigration Act, considered by many to be a misinterpretation of the 14th amendment and contrary to the original intent of providing emancipated slaves who, without a US citizen parent even if born on US soil, had no other means of acquiring citizenship. The 14th amendment affects only citizenship, not a natural born citizen: one born on US soil to US citizen parents (plural)”. [1]
Representative John Bingham, framer of the 14th Amendment, speaking before The US House of Representatives, clearly agreed.
“I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.” (Cong. Globe, 39th, 1st Sess., 1291, March 9, 1866)

Posted on November 1, 2011 at 3:31pmSince Wong Kin Ark’s claim of citizenship was based on his place of birth, not on a claim of prior naturalization declaring him a citizen was the same as declaring him a natural born citizen. You obviously have not actually read the decision on this case, or you would know better than to claim that it has nothing to do with the definition of natural born citizenship.
Since 1866 is before 1898, it doesn’t matter what the hell anybody said back then.
