Cain Says Occupy Wall Street Protesters Should Be ‘Standing in Front of the White House’

During Tuesday’s GOP presidential debate, Herman Cain stood by earlier comments he made asserting that the Occupy Wall Street activists should blame themselves for their financial woes.
Cain also stated that the demonstrators should be camped out in front of the White House protesting President Barack Obama, rather than the bankers on Wall Street.
“They’re directing their anger at the wrong place. Wall Street didn’t put in failed economic policies,” Cain said.
“Wall Street isn’t going around the country trying to sell another $450 billion. They should be standing in front of the White House.”

The two big problems is 1) is Cain analysis wrong, he calls everyone else wrong, could he be the one that is wrong? 2) Even if he passes his whole plan, even the 2/3 vote on health care, Congress could use reconciliation to up the rate, like they did with healthcare.

1. He was wrong two weeks before collapse

2. Just admitted tonight that he was wrong about TARP. Then after he supported this big bailout of the banks, is criticizing people for protesting against wall street. I agree, the blame falls on congress, but the banks were in bed with them. They are just a little misguided.
3. He was wrong about the Federal Reserve. Said we wouldn’t find anything if we ever audited his Federal Reserve.

I’m not endorsing anyone but whats truly sad is this.
WINTERSET, Ia. – Two weeks away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul says that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorist hostilities toward America, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.
Report Post »At a campaign stop on Saturday in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates.
“Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security?” Paul asked.
“If you’re looking for specifics, I’m talking about Islam. Radical Islam,” the man answered.
“I don’t see Islam as our enemy,” Paul said. “I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.”
Steve
Posted on October 19, 2011 at 8:46amjmiller_42
Now this little tidbit isn’t sad it just pathetic.
Regarding 9/11, Paul said that attacks against the U.S. from Middle Eastern groups at home and abroad can be traced to the foreign presence of U.S. troops, as well as America’s relationships with dictator regimes.
Report Post »Paul referred to a military base in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, as a key motivator in the Sept. 11th attacks. Osama bin Laden viewed it as an American desecration of holy land.
“After 9/11, (people said) ‘Oh yeah, it’s those very bad people who hate us,’ but 15 of (the hijackers) came from Saudi Arabia,” said Paul. “One of the reasons they attacked us, is we propped up this Sharia government and the fundamentalists hated us for it.”
Paul is totally clueless. They attacked us because we were propping up a “Sharia government” and “the fundamentalists hated us for it”? Since when do Islamic “fundamentalists” disapprove of Sharia governments? They attacked us, according to Osama bin Laden, because, among other reasons, we were in his view “prevent[ing] our people from establishing the Islamic Shariah,” not propping up a Sharia state.

And of course my favorite example as to why this man should be watching the Presidential inauguration from his living room.
Paul cited a University of Chicago professor, Robert Pape, whose research argues that most of the suicide terrorism in the past 30 years was caused by military occupation. Pape’s research, funded by the Defense Department, shows that suicide bombings in Afghanistan went up one third after the Obama administration surged 30,000 troops into the country.
Not only is Pape wrong; he’s on the dole of Hamas-linked CAIR.
Shouldn’t you be at OWS with your friends from code pink?
Code Pink activist Liz Hurican told Fox News: “The Ron Paul people are closer and closer to our talking points with each election.”
Ron Paul Spokeswoman Rachel Mills says “Code Pink is actually leaning more in the direction of Ron Paul’s beliefs and politics”, saying the Congressman “is in favor of coalition-building with anti-war groups.”
Appeasement wasn’t a Ronald Regan Attribute!

“it was written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
Ambassador Abd Al-Rahman Tripoli’s ambassador to London in March 1785
In the 7th through I think the through the 11th century we called them world conquerors followers of Muhammad killing, raping, enslaving and converting millions to their political ideology. In 1785 they were called Pirates. Grrr matey! they were followers of Muhammad. Today we call them Terrorists who are followers of Muhammad. See a freakin pattern here bud?
Don’t try to bring up the letters of Marque. It doesn’t apply here. You either understand the political ideology of Islam or you dont. Ron Paul does not and in today’s world thats not only dangerous thats just plain ignorant! Kinda like some of you guys. : )

Economist and former Reagan adviser Arthur Laffer says Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan is a good one.
“(The) plan was designed to be what economists call ‘static revenue neutral,’ which means that if people didn’t change what they do under his plan, total tax revenues would be the same as they are under our current tax code,” Laffer writes in The Wall Street Journal, adding that he believes that with the boost Cain’s plan would give to economic growth it would bring in even more revenue than expected.
“Once the dynamics take hold, many of those below the poverty line will find good jobs and thus will rise above the poverty line and start paying taxes,” says Laffer.

You have no clue about the dichotomy that is the Fed and the United States government.
The Congress committed an act of insurrection and rebellion when they gave the power to print currency, a vital national security interest, to a privately owned bank called the “Federal” Reserve. That invokes the “insurrection and rebellion clause” of the 14th Amendment, making all debts “owed” to the private Federal Reserve NULL AND VOID.
WE DON’T OWE THAT MONEY.
Now, dealing with the Congress is one thing, a separate issue, but dealing with the Federal Reserve is immediate, because THEY RUN THE COUNTRY! There is a SUPERCONGRESS! The Congress is IRRELEVANT!
We must take up ARMS now or the private Federal Reserve in collaboration with their paid-off pushovers in Congress are going to criminalize EVERYONE in order to save their own corrupt carcasses.

Romney is still running to stand still. Everyone knows he is the favorite son. 3/4′s people dont like favorite sons unless they are not suck ups. Perry is angry and is just throwing spears at his nemesis making Gingrich and Cain look good. Following REagans rule of not putting down your fellow repubs, most flunked.
Bachman won back some moxy by knowing her stuff but still has no soundbite to explain her plan, and how much a leader over others? eh.
Cain and Gingrich is who won my heart. Cain for standing tall and actually looking good on other issues people are worried about and had sound answere’s but Gingrich won the whole deal with his knowledge and soundbited response.

Those idiots are definitely in the wrong place protesting. Go clog up the District of Columbia’s Justice System. The only thing the protest would do there is relieve the financial burden on America.
If they need Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi’s address and directions to get there, I’d be most pleased to give them.

The msm are leaving Rommey alone right now, just like they handled McCain during the last election. McCain didn’t do so well did he?
If the msm disagrees with your policies then I probably agree with your policies. It is a worry when the libs like a Republican. That tells me he is not a conservative.

Posted on October 18, 2011 at 10:58pmFact is most that protest are employed, by unions who want more federal government money because they have drained the states budgets. The reason why Herman wants them to go to the White House, which all protesters seem to ignore, is because the man at the White House is the one trying to fill their union coffers at the expense of the taxpayers. Those that are not union members need to go home and vote in 2012.

It clearly takes the pressure off the POTUS. Conservatives will be infiltrating OWS with signs showing faces of liberal politicians, their net worth and their friendly appeal to Wall Street for contributions to keep them in power. As long as America is free, propaganda will be checked.

Posted on October 19, 2011 at 1:15amRe: Taxes will be higher for lower and middle class
Report Post »His point is that food and products will become cheaper. He is talking about the “hidden” tax. Think of when you buy bread….the wheat was taxed, the farmer was taxed, the baker was taxed, the trucker was taxed, and the store is taxed. So, the cost of bread is mostly taxes. His plan will eliminate these taxes and the cost will be much cheaper.
No one thinks about the hidden taxes which make everything costly. He will give tax breaks who only use US made products. So, it will even the playing field with China!!
As far as taxes on people who don’t pay taxes, of course! Everyone deserves equal treatment. Everyone must have their hand in helping instead of helping themselves! So, the folks who do not pay taxes will not vote for him. They just keep voting for us to pay their way in life. They want more and more “free” stuff that we work for.

Posted on October 19, 2011 at 6:48amWhat I hear you saying is that you don’t want EVERY American to pay SOME share of the cost for living in the greatest country in the world. I have no problem with the Americans that DO pay taxes, the problem is the HUGE number that don’t pay ANY taxes to support this country. If that includes the lower and middle classes, so be it…, each of us, as individuals, are either part of the problem or part of the solution.

I think Cain has the mental acuity to handle himself well in debates and in interviews, but his proposals are actually kind of lame. In comparison to someone like Rick Perry, though, Herman Cain looks like a freakin’ genius. Cain’s problem is that unless the fat Republican money people like the Koch brothers start throwing money at him, Cain really doesn’t stand a chance. But, then, if that happens Cain will lose much of his independence because he will be beholden to them. Did I answer your question?
