Cain Suggests Taliban a Part of Libyan Government

Herman Cain Suggests Taliban a Part of Libyan GovernmentAddressing his recent misstep when asked a question about whether he agreed with U.S. involvement in Libya, GOP presidential contender Herman Cain said that the Taliban are involved in the new Libyan government. During a press conference held in Orlando on Friday, Cain defended himself, insisting he asked the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter to be more specific in his question about Libya. That‘s when Cain’s comments about Taliban involvement came into play. He stated:

The Libya question was, the question was too broad. Now I do admit that I was a bit fatigued, but the question was too broad and so I paused, and what they didn’t show was I asked the reporter to be more specific. Well, he didn’t get more specific. His question was — and I hope you all show this, or write about it — “Do you agree or disagree with President Obama on Libya?”

What part?

Do I agree with siding with the opposition? Do I agree with saying that Gadhafi should go? Do I agree that they now have a country where you‘ve got Taliban and al Qaeda that’s going to be part of the government? Do I agree with not knowing the government was going to — which part was he asking me about? I was trying to get him to be specific and he wouldn’t be specific.”

Mediaite provides the video and points to an L.A. Times article in which a Libyan rebel’s account links Libya to the Taliban and al Qaeda.

WTF HERMAN?! Where was this answer last time someone asked you?Don’t be afraid to tell the truth. The “rebels” leadership in Libya stated more than once that they were with Al-Qaeda. Obama has gone out of his way to destabilize the middle east, and assist every muslim(extremist) organization he can.

The MSM reported just a few weeks ago that Al Qaeda flag is flying over some cities in Libya and is receiving aid from radical Islamic tribal leaders (we call them the Taliban) in Afghanistan. Now who is it that doesn’t have his story straight?

Is this really the best the GOP has to offer? I’m gonna stick with Ron Paul since there is absolutely no one else who is even remotely qualified in the GOP to take office. It’s a conundrum. People that are crazy enough for the current crop of right wing voters to vote for are wayyyy too crazy to have any chance at the general election. And the only way to solve this problem would be for the Republicans to move left, back into sane territory. Too bad they’re wearing the yoke of the tea party which drives them even further into loony land.

I mean, look at them. 0% Taxes Bachmann? 9-9-9-Cain? Wailin’ Palin before she quit? Look at it. Look at what you have done to American political discourse. These people would have been laughed out of the circuit in Reagan’s time and Reagan would be too far left for you to vote for, would he run today.

If that is true, then you, along with all Caintrainers, will vote for Ron Paul when he wins the nomination, n’est-ce pa? And since all Republicans will back the Republican nominee, Ron Paul, and since Ron Paul attracts many democrats and many democrats are turning against BO, that means that along with all the Republicans who will vote for the Republican nominee, Ron Paul, there will be a whole lotta dems also voting for Ron Paul and BO will go the way of Carter.

Which of the canidates is really cutting spending? Romney has vowed to cut 30 billion off first year. Rick Perry has said 100 billion off first year. Newt just says he will control spending. Cain has says he will cut but gives no number or what he would cut. There is one though that has a detailed list of what he would cut and it is a cut of 1 trillion dollars first year and a balanced budget in 3. Its time to wake up people. The only way this country dies is from within. Look at the record, do some research on these people. Quit listening to Bill Oreilly and Glenn Beck to tell you who to vote for.

Exactly Slayer. We are running our election like its MFing American Idol.

We are going up like 1.7 trillion a year in debt with the past and current yahoos in place. So if we are at 15 trillion now,

      2012 16.7
      2013 17.4
      2014 19.1
      2015 20.8
      2016 22.5

Keep in mind that these numbers are based on interest rates saying as low as they are now. Remeber Glenn talking about one point of interest a year or so ago would add 700billion to our debt.

Do your research. There is only one guy that can save us before its to late.

But for the reporter to ask in general if he agreed with BHO almost any non zing answer would leave Cain open for exactly what has happened. In my work I am on the radio 10 hours a day and being able to think fast and give a zing answer is a must. I do not doubt that some people originally recruited by the Taliban join Al Qaeda & vice versa.

There were people from Libya who fought under the Al Qaeda standard in Iraq. They are back in Libya. There are Libyans who fought in Afghanistan & are now back in Libya.

I don;t know that the Taliban has the time to send anyone to Libya. Kind of doubt it. But Al Qaeda has sent people to see what material they can scrounge, contacts they can make & people they can recruit. They will also try to influence the course of events in Libya. I don’t expect them to be much of a player. I do expect the Muslim Brotherhood the be the big player in Libya. We’ll see.
