CAIR Slams NY Post for Political Cartoon That ‘Evokes Anti-Semitic Themes’

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has called on the New York Post to apologize for a political cartoon published in the paper Friday which CAIR says “evokes anti-Semitic themes” through its depiction of hook-nosed terrorists objecting to the NYPD’s surveillance of Muslims without warrant throughout the city.

A post on the group’s Facebook page indicates that the Muslim civil rights groups is asking American Muslims and “other people of conscience to contact the newspaper and to politely ask that they apologize for the offensive cartoon.”

“This offensive and inaccurate political cartoon evokes anti-Semitic themes that would be recognized by any historian of pre-war Nazi Germany,” Zead Ramadan, board president of CAIR’s New York chapter, said in a statement. “The cartoon is not only offensive in its portrayal of a religious minority; it is also inaccurate in its depiction of those targeted by the NYPD spy campaign in that there is no evidence that those monitored were suspected of wrongdoing of any kind.”

CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.

The organization has made news in the past for applauding West Point for pulling the speaking invite for a General critical of Islam, defending Muslims on the government no-fly list, and members calling for Americans to stop associating 9/11 with the Muslim religion. 

The organization writes that its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

      I was thinking this all through this article. What the heck is Anti-Semitic about that cartoon. It has absolutely nothing to do with Jews. Now, I read the whole thing to make sure they didn’t have a moment of honesty because the cartoon maybe was targeting Jews but it absolutely has nothing to do with them. Uggh. These people really will twist and lie about ANYTHING to further their agenda. Just goes to show you how evil this movement is because Satan is the father of all lies and that is all these people (CAIR especially) have is lies.     If I was Muslim and part of MSA and I‘d learned that there had been terrorists who’d been part of MSA, I’d probably quit the organization. Remember, it was primarily the MSA, not all Muslim student groups, that was under investigation. The MSA isn’t student or University based, but is an independent group much like Hillel. If I found out Hillel was being investigated because of Jewish terrorists I’d be pissed at the terrorists for giving me a bad name.       The world has had over a thousand years to see and understand was Is-lamb is like and what moo-slums are like. That’s why we are industrialized modern nations with infrastructure and a functioning government (there is some debate there, to give credit) and the moo-slums and their I-slum religion are still living in the ancient world, with cutting off heads, hands and the like and living in tents and mud dwellings and caves carved out of the cliffs.

      I’ve been to Israel and every sign for a town or village is written in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Arabic. Arabic is even an OFFICIAL language. I didn’t see Hitler declaring Hebrew or Yiddish as official languages.       You do speak ONE truth–Allah does stand for “god” (small “g”), and there many gods (small “g”), Allah, Buddah, Shrivah, etc. etc. etc.

      You do, “of course,” realized that God (large “G”) is the God of love, not a god (small “g”) of war, pain and killing of strangers and family members, don’t you? The god of Islam is NOT MY God! And the people of Islam, although loved by me, are the the people of God!

      Compare the Koran to a Bible, there are little no true similarities. In the Koran a newer verse replaces an older verse if it conflict in content. In the Bible a parallel is true, Jesus came NOT to remove the law, but to Complete the Law–what does that mean? The Law still exists, but is not followed by the concept of Love rather than the concept of demand.

      As far as Arabs and Muslims in Israel–many are still there! May more to to Israel daily to work, shop, go to school. They are welcome, and actually, appreciate being respected more in the Jewish State then they are in their own settlements!

      Welcome to the real world r-e, but I know you don’t dwell in the real world, only in the fantacies of you imagination. May God grant you wisdom and understanding, and may you learn and accept His Love and Salvation.

      I think rose-ellen is a very professional, well paid trouble maker, sent here to raise our blood pressure and tempers. She can get many to say things she can then use elsewhere to show how “evil and angry” we are. When I had that thought some time ago, I figured out the she and her fellow friends were sent here to cause people to say things in anger to be used very well by the left. At that point I have learned to love the sound of my mouse going click, click, click as I go sailing by those names I recognise, and it doesn’t take long to figure out new ones or those who changed their “names”. I refuse to argue with them, that is what they want. Occasionaly I check in to see what her current insanity is ranting about. That’s it.

      Reply to Jenny Lind You are so right! I had to come to a similar realization when I found way to much time was wasted reading the same dribble from the likes of the trolls. No more! I scan comments briefly and smile to myself realizing the vitrol spewed forth is demonic in nature and I will not bother to triffle with it.
