Calif. Teachers Federation Endorses Convicted ‘Cop Killer’

Calif. Teachers Federation Endorses Convicted Cop Killer

Abu-Jamal

The California Federation of Teachers — a branch of the AFL-CIO — has adopted a resolution at its annual conference supporting convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, the Daily Caller reports.

From TheDC, which notes that Abu-Jamal is now being called a “journalist:”

Among the resolutions largely pertaining to education and collective bargaining rights was Resolution 19 – to “Reaffirm support for death row journalist.”

“Therefore, be it resolved, that the California Federation of Teachers reaffirm its support and demand that the courts consider the evidence of innocence of Mumia Abu-Jamal,” the Committee Report reads.

Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panther Party, was convicted of shooting, multiple times, Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. He reportedly confessed to the crime and was given the death penalty.

Instead of recognizing Abu-Jamal’s conviction, the federation believes he is innocent and a civil rights hero.

“Mumia Abu-Jamal has for decades as a journalist fought courageously against racism and police brutality and for the human rights of all people and has taken strong stands in support of working people involved in labor struggles and in support of well-funded, quality, public education,” the resolution reads.

But not everyone is convinced.

“Somebody should tell the California Teachers Federation that this is over, he is in jail, he is going to stay there,” Daniel Flynn, author of “Cop killer: How Mumia Abu-Jamal conned millions into believing he was framed, told TheDC. “You have numerous eyewitnesses saying Mumia did it. You had ballistic evidence – Mumia’s gun at the scene was consistent with the bullet used to kill Faulkner. Mumia admitted after the fact that he did it.”

That doesn’t matter to the CFT. “The delegates decided it was time to reiterate that they supported him due to the irregularities that they felt had taken place during his case,” a spokesman for the organization told TheDC. He went on to say that the CFT takes positions on a variety of “social matters.”

Former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones is also an Abu-Jamal supporter.

Well now we know why our kids can’t read or count money by the time they get to jr. high or high school. They are being taught to be radicals, They are not being educated. Public sector jobs should never have collective barganing rights. We need to start kicking these people out of our schools. They are public schools, we are the public and we pay for them. Teacher indoctranates, teacher gets fired!

Union thugs trying to free all the violent and dangerous criminals so that they can use them to forcibly back up their thuggery. Perhaps they intend to use these criminals to kill everyone that disagrees with them and who doesn’t give them everything they want to take from us. Looks to me like these people are more dangerous than the criminals that they are trying to free.

This is the kind of crap they are teaching, its part of the Obama agenda led by Van Jones sponsored by Soros. They don’t teach about our true history anymore, everything is about the radical left now. It is time America wakes up and puts a stop to this kind of behavior before it is too late. I personally will endorse whoever would pull the lever or give the injection to this radical cold blooded killer. Semper Fi!

Killing someone should not always have to become a racial matter. Everything seems to be a racial condition every since Obama became President. I don’t condone a white cop killing a black man any more than I condone a black man killing a white cop. If the cop was acting in line of duty and the guilty party was waving a gun, yes shoot him….period. White & Black cops put their life on the line every day for the protection of the public. Stand up and appreciate them no matter the color. Look for the content of their character.

It’s too bad, I should laugh at the equally blind fools for walking over this cliff face. Problem: we‘re tied to them and we’re all going down together. It will be a long drop and a sudden stop.

The evidence suggests that Mr. Abu-Jamal did not shoot the policeman; that it was his brother.
There is no evidence that it was a murder, but rather a case of self defense.

Liberals believe that man is inherently good. And it is society that poisons him. And it is society’s fault when man does bad things. They believe that society must rehabilitate him through counseling and social programs.

Conservative and Christians believe than man is inherently sinful. We build a society to keep him in check and promote the good in all men. When a man goes against society, conservatives remove him from society to protect law-abiding men.

A really great reason to HOMESCHOOL! Public education, a monopoly, maintained by force in the grand tradition of the Post Office. http://commonsense21c.com/

hey police in unions, take note of how they (your fellow unions) will backstab you at the drop of a pin! The lies of the left are big and small…watch your 6 police officers, you will also need to watch your 12 when they take to the streets in violence…just remember one thing, the majority of us on the Blaze will stand side by side with you to restore rule of law, whereas, your own bretheren will kill you!

HUD….the first union leader on the long list posted by LOOKTOWARDSTHELIGHT is a Jewish progressive named Marty Hittleman. The word doesn’t need AH to be resurrected when we have people like you.

Nothing strange about it. The teaching profession has been overrun by pedophiles, lazy people and a profession for most part without morals and we must address them. Maybe those in California should be targeted for rape and terror because they like it so much. Why not parole Leslie Van Houten? She is better and more honorable than 80% of liberal teachers?

when the progressive completely morally and fiscally bankrupt US, the country will break apart into sectional state alliances, such as the SEC. Then california will be reclaimed by Mexico and become just another third world country. It is all writtten in the “Next to Last American President” highlighting the words of Glenn Beck. CA once a trend setter, shall spread the progressive union evil no more.

This is no big surprise. There is no limit to how low the left will sink, and we all know the AFL-CIO is a commie-laden far-left radical scumbag organization. Greedy, selfish and full of the most fowl fecal matter.

I feel sorry for you conservatives living in CA. Get out while you can. It is less expensive in other parts of the country and you can live among like-minded people.

How can anyone in their right mind stand up for a cold blooded killer. I think we are bending the Constitution way too far and soon it’s back will be broken in many pieces. Wake up America and stand up for our rights.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!! There is a new REVOLUTION COMING!!! Be a part of it or be left behind in the dust. How much more are you willing to take? Have you forgotten that our elected officials work for us, the TAX PAYERS OF AMERICA? Every damn one of them from zer0bama to the lowest city worker are funded by OUR TAXES. Have WE forgotten how to say NO! We all need to be yelling as loud as we can, “WE ARE PISSED OFF AND WE AIN”T GONNA TAKE IT ANY MORE”!

If you are a dues paying member of the AFL-CIO, you need to be demanding your money back, because they could care less about you and your family, they only care about their big fat pay checks, their fine clothes, cars and big fancy homes. When has the union ever created a job?

Everbody knows that CA is a very weird place. That don’t mean that the rest of us need to follow ever nutty idea that they can come up with. Would YOU vote for the moonbeam?
