WASHINGTON (AP / THE BLAZE) — Hillary Rodham Clinton says she does not want to stay on as secretary of state if President Barack Obama wins re-election in 2012. The Blaze has already reported that Clinton was “done with politics,” but now we know that’s coming sooner rather than later.
Clinton told CNN on Wednesday that she is happy in her current role and does not want to become president, vice president or defense secretary. In an interview in Cairo, Clinton says she has no interest in running for president in 2016 and plans to spend the next two years at the State Department.
Some have speculated Clinton could move to the Pentagon or mount another White House campaign.
Clinton and Obama competed in 2008 for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama bested her, won the White House and then named his one-time rival his top diplomat.
Here is a transcript of Clinton’s interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, which will appear on CNN tonight at 5pm EST.
Q- If the president is reelected, do you want to serve a second term as secretary of state?
No
Q- Would you like to serve as secretary of defense?
No
Q- Would you like to be vice president of the United States?
No
Q- Would you like to be president of the United States?
No
Q- Why not?
Because I have the best job I could ever have. This is a moment in history where it is almost hard to catch your breath. There are both the tragedies and disasters that we have seen from Haiti to Japan and there are the extraordinary opportunities and challenges that we see right here in Egypt and in the rest of the region. So I want to be part of helping to represent the United States at this critical moment in time, to do everything I can in support of the president and our government and the people of our country to stand for our values and our ideals, to stand up for our security, which has to remain first and foremost in my mind and to advance America’s interests. And there isn’t anything that I can imagine doing after this that would be as demanding, as challenging or rewarding.
Q- President of the United States?
You know, I had a wonderful experience running and I am very proud of the support I had and very grateful for the opportunity, but I’m going to be, you know, moving on.
Q- I asked my viewers and followers on Twitter to send questions and a lot of them said, “Ask her if she’ll run in 2016 for the presidency.” A lot of folks would like to you to do that.
Well that’s very kind, but I am doing what I want to do right now and I have no intention or any idea even of running again. I’m going to do the best I can at this job for the next two years.

Posted on March 16, 2011 at 4:53pmWith all due respect…..I don’t believe a word she says……never did…..never will. What I don’t understand are all those who still do. Unfortunately, I remember those interviews when her husband was being impeached……that she sat there and lied without batting an eyelash. She always does. I remember shortly before the candidates running for President in 2008 were announced she was asked pointedly if she was running for it. I can still see her now…..saying very admantly, without a blink….just with that laugh she has….that no, DEFINITELY NOT, blah blah – just like this interview. We all know how that went. So please don’t any of you be surprised if she runs for President or something else unexpected comes up to whisk her into a very high position. These are very crazy times with all kinds of unexpected catastrophes and violence taking place. Plus I wouldn’t be so sure Obama is going to be running in 2012.

Bill Clinton lied to America (“I did NOT have sex with THAT woman”) and still won’t go away (neither will Jimmy Carter for that matter) even after all these years so why would anyone believe or think that his bride Hillary would just ride quietly into the sunset? It‘s just not in a progressive’s DNA to do so.

Posted on March 16, 2011 at 4:44pmThink her shelf life is out of date? Years ago maybe? This woman will never go away. She likes the limelight way too much and no matter how much money and how many things she has tucked away, she will come slithering back like the snake she is.
Now how do we form a prayer about hillary, remembering to give thanks in all things? I need help on this one!
LORD, we give YOU thanks for all the snakes in our lives including the two-legged ones for they are easier seen. And, LORD, when they keep themselves out in front of us, it is easier to see them, too. We thank you for that. And GOD, when they “rattle” they warn us of their presence. Thanks, GOD.
In JESUS’ precious name, amen!

I can see her accepting an ambassadorship, if offered, because the MSM will keep her in the spotlight (”Say, is her handbag Gucci or Prada?”).
There is only one place for her to go: SCOTUS. If offered a seat, I‘ll bet dollars to donuts she’ll grab it. The only things I see that would stop her would be a Pub in the White House in 2012, and/or a Pub majority in the Senate with enough Conservatives to block her confirmation.

Posted on March 16, 2011 at 6:27pmdon’t bet your bacon on it. #1, the Republicans have NO candidate that can win. Romney, the corporate raider can’t, Palin can’t, Gingrich has already showed his colors when he was Speaker of the House and blinked, Cain is a possibility, but after Obama, lot‘s of folks are going to be soured on the current black guy and won’t trust another – take a look at the RINO Colon Powell. to win, the republicans are going to have to come up with a center between “moderate” and “far right tea bag”. Can’t think of a single one. So we get another four years of Obummer, by then, if not sooner, he’ll have stacked the Supreme Court with liberal women – this time he’ll look for a black one.

I‘m sure she’s probably immensely tired of her jerk of boss telling her to do things she knows are completely foolish and having to go around the world and coddle dictators that she would just as soon wipe off the face of the earth.
Then there’s the matter of her philandering husband. You know Bill is still up to his old tricks and Hillary is probably tired of the whole trip. It’s done, it’s over. She probably wants to go back to the house on the Arkansas River, sit on the porch, weave a few baskets and drink margaritas until she can’t see straight and think about what could have been.
I think, for her, the game is over.

Alinsky wanted her to come work with him but she went on to Welsley instead. The progressives and possibly the democrats, if they don’t distant themselves from Obama, are toast in 2012. Her and her trusting husband have their place with the Bilderberg and will try to resurface in the one world order. As for Obama? Just toast. He failed and the elite will send him packing. My prediction is Obama will try to push his failed agenda off on the young people but they know he is a loser and he will fail once again. This is when he will leave the US and try to resurrect his BS in let’s say Kenya where he is a gawd.
