Camouflaged Dance Troop Chased by FBI Through NYC Tunnel

WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (The Blaze/AP) — A dance troupe from Jacksonville, Florida caused a rush-hour terror scare when they ditched their cars in the Lincoln Tunnel and tried to run to a TV appearance in Manhattan while wearing their camouflage costumes.
The dancers drove about 1,000 miles so they could appear Wednesday on BET’s live “106 & Park” show. But they hit traffic at the tunnel, which connects New Jersey and New York City and is just two miles from the TV studio.
The five young women and three young men decided to sprint the rest of the way. They left their adult chaperones behind and ran through the toll plaza.
Armed officers with Port Authority police and the FBI-NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force gave chase, closing the tunnel for 45 minutes.
They eventually offered to escort the dancers to the show, but the producers told them it was too late.
“I was boo-hoo crying,” Eternity Odom, 16, a member of the Jacksonville step group Ladies of Envy, said yesterday about the harrowing experience.
Odom, who also runs track, said that by the time the cops caught up to her she could see the lights of Manhattan. She said cops forced her to her knees and drew guns on the others.
“I knew we were in trouble,” Odom added.
She and the troupe headed back to Jacksonville, Fla. after the incident. It was assumed they drove.

If you see something suspicious my suggestion is do not just sit and wait to see what happens next. If you see someone leave a suitcase on the sidewalk and run away from it I suggest you do not pick it up and run after them yelling “hey! you forgot your suitcase.” We do not live in the same world as we did on 9/10/2001. Is what they did illegal? Not necessarily. Is what they did stupid? Most definitely. Tunnels,bridges,schools,hospitals,buses,airplanes,arenas,dams,power plants and shopping malls are just a few of the many preferred targets for terrorists.

Wow, go right to race and play the race card Ob 2012. The article never mentioned race. Besides, the article was posted to show how easy it is to shut down infrastructure and to remind us that we still receive terrorist threats putting everyone on edge to the point that a group of kids could have gotten hurt.
At least under Bush, The Patriot Act was temporary and had oversight every year. Your messiah, Obama, made the Patriot Act permanent and has even tried to expand it against us. Its the Obama administration that is wrongly groping people in airports and its the Obama administration that decided to overlook terrorist threats and instead call law abiding citizens terrorists. I am completely against the PATRIOT Act, including Obama’s expansion of it. Unlike your side, I don’t take everything the leaders say and do as Gospel. We will be pushing hard for the repeal of this injustice during his second term. It will be a lot easier then as the recovery will be well under way and we won’t have to worry about that.
Out of curiosity, which one of your Presidential hopefuls is publicly supporting the repeal of the PATRIOT Act? And don‘t name someone like Ron Paul because he won’t get the nod.
