Illinois Campaign Protestors Portray Conservatives as NAZIs (Updated)

The race for Illinois’ 11th Congressional District is heating up between Democratic Rep. Debbie Halvorson and her Republican challenger, Adam Kinzinger.
During a Kinzinger appearance at an event hosted by Americans for Prosperity Wednesday evening, a small group of protestors gathered outside, brandishing signs depicting Kinzinger and other prominent conservative figures — including radio and television host Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — with Hitler mustaches smudged on their portraits.
The protestors chanted, “Outsource Adam, not our jobs!”
A filmographer captured the protest on tape. Though the protestors deny they were acting on behalf of Congresswoman Halvorson, the filmmaker followed them back to their apparent rallying point, Halvorson’s campaign office.
At least one of the protestors has been identified as an Organizing for America staffer who worked for the Obama campaign in St. Louis during the 2008 election.
Kinzinger, a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, today asked Halvorson to investigate the incident:
It was shocking to see the images displayed by protesters in Joliet this week. When I decided to run for office, I understood the nastiness of politics but never envisioned this kind of attack. Congresswoman Halvorson’s campaign has denied involvement, but video of protesters retiring to her office following the demonstration indicates otherwise. The campaign’s spokesman stated that Halvorson shares my concerns about the public display. If that is indeed the case, I respectfully ask that she use the evidence at hand to launch an investigation into the activities of her campaign and its participation in the Joliet protest, and take appropriate action.
Update: Another individual participating in the small protest has been identified. This woman has been identified as Halvorson’s campaign manager, Julie Merz.
Until recently, Ms. Merz reportedly worked as Deputy Director of Member Services on Nancy Pelosi’s staff. Just a year ago, Pelosi herself was accusing town hall participants opposed to Democrats’ health care overhaul of using these kinds of images in “astroturf” protests:

Posted on September 17, 2010 at 6:36pmInteresting that the protesters are chanting about keeping jobs, considering that Ms. Halvorson has had the opportunity to improve her constituents employment and economic outlook since being elected to their state house in 1996 and serving as house majority leader. Currently, Illinois is ranked number 42 with a 10.3% unemployment rate, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics July 2010 numbers (http://www.bls.gov/web/laus/laumstrk.htm). I hope the folks in Illinois wake up and realize that they are being scammed – she’s had her chance.
I hope instead they vote for the American Patriot, Adam Kinzinger – he is an inspiring man.

I wrote this simply to illustrate that God is in control. He has a direct interest, as a real father does, in the activities of his children. He has not simply set the world in motion and now sits back with lackluster interest in the choices we make. Rather, his only concern is helping us achieve our potential. The only reason the Father does not show more overt miracles is that we do not allow him to, by virtue of our lack of faith in Him and his power. He waits for us to come and sincerely ask him for help before he lovingly gives us what our humbled hearts are now prepared to receive.

Nor is there anything wrong with picketing in front of the opposition’s office, or a street corner. However, the use of Nazi imagery is disgusting and should not be tolerated. If a professional campaign organizer was involved, the person should be fired. There did seem to be other political signs in the office, are you sure the office belongs to Halvorson alone? It is interesting to find this article here, Conservatives have no problem with applying Nazi imagery to the Left. For my part, I am sad to see it returned.

A few people with no sense might be doing it, but not considered Republicans or campaign people there. Just ordinary American unhappy with where the progressive right and left have taken us over the past 30 or so years. Sad. Prayer is needed.

Additionally, I would like for you to openly admit that every action, achievement and word we have heard from Obama points to the fact that he is definitely a socialist who’s rooted in Marxism.

In this country, we need to start admitting this truth instead of hiding from it. Everything he has achieved in this country can be directly checked off in the communist manifesto word for word. Which I believe was written by or endorsed by Karl Marx.
It is common place for the democrats to scream and point fingers to the other side with blame of exactly what they are achieving in an effort to distract the spotlight from their own fraud and corruption. For example…
See them calling us racist and kkk members when it is exactly the democrats who perpetrate that crime.
See Pelosi cry alligator tears over violent protest when it is her own supporters who continue today with those actions.
See the democrats blame the iraq war on the conservatives when it was Bill Clinton’s actions that created that terrorism nightmare.

I also talked to staffers from several offices who were very worried that I was walking amongst the protestors. One female Congresswoman had to be surrounded by her staff to protect her from the crowd that was pressing in on her. Pelosi wasn’t crying crocodile tears, she remembers the Milk/Mascone murders. She was in San Francisco politics at the time. The Democrats of 1865 were the Conservative party. The parties switched polarity between the Roosevelts. Most of the Dixiecrats, like Thurmond and Helms started life as Democrats but died as Republicans. The shift excellerated with the election of JFK in 1960. And how exactly is Bill Clinton responsible for the Iraq mess? The Reagan Administration gave him millions to fight Iran. Republicans controlled the White House for 28 of the last 42 years. Saddam Hussein was in power before Bill Clinton. Al-Qaeda came into Iraq under Bush43, after he invaded and created a power vacuum.

I was outside of Pelosi’s office on the even that you speak of and that BS you speak of never happened. It was a peaceful protest and Pelosi knew she had done wrong with obamacare and so her fear of facing the people that she blatantly went against was her own conscious telling her she had done something terribly wrong. Which is the God’s honest truth and she knows it. There were angry people but they wanted answers from her, not violence. We have every right to be angry at her condescending lies and her refusal to listen to the people. She is worthless as a representative and she has spit in our face while she has gotten fat and happy off of tax payer dollars.
That is all the explanation I am going to give someone as corrupt and untrustworthy as yourself because you are not here to add anything to this conversation. Two wrongs do not make a right nor advance the argument. Secondly, today was a group effort with many signs under the direction of a Democrat politician from their own campaign office. Signs that were not handmade with cardboard and markers, but blown-up photos that are expensive to produce. The Tea Party has come a long way in a year and taken great strides to remove anyone who would think Nazi posters are OK, last month’s rally was a tribute to this ideal. An attitude the left does not seem to think matters to them. My point is if the NAACP wants such scrutiny from the Tea Party then they shouldn’t keep their blinders on when the far-left whackos come out to play. Tomorrow will tell the tale when we see how the NAACP responds, or silently approves.
