‘Can We Get Someone To Shoot Sarah Palin?’: Twitter Users Call for Palin’s Death

The tweets are stunning, disturbing, and downright shocking.

After the left shamelessly began its campaign to connect Saturday’s shooting to Sara Palin, Twitter users quickly picked up on the sentiment and responded with violent, hateful speech. Some were succinct: “I hope Sarah Palin dies.” Others were prophetic: “So…will everyone be satisfied then when Palin is assassinated? You know she’s next.” And some were downright vulgar: “Palin is a murdering bi*** who deserves a crosshair on HER house so Al-Qaeda can come shoot HER family. See how that feels, republican trash.”

But they are all wrong:

UPDATE:

One of the Twitter users seen in the video montage (which The Blaze did not produce) claims she is a “Reagan conservative” whose tweet was taken out of context. Rather than wishing for Palin’s death, she says she was expressing her disgust over others blaming Palin and predicting that some radicals may now target the conservative politician. She’s written a blog post defending herself and her tweet, and explains:

Thus, it didn’t occur to me that my tweet, made in conversation with someone else, in response to my utter disgust with the immediate blaming of Sarah Palin for Saturday’s shooting of a Congresswoman would be taken as a threat against Palin and/or a wish for her death. [Emphasis hers]

      I looked at each of the avatars, as I struggled to get through that 4 minutes of vile content. Many were graphic or symbols but sadly many were pictures of young women. Also a fair number of blacks. I was nauseated as I observed the last post. This is the result of a failed educational system, The destruction of the family, and the systematic removal of faith,morality and ultimately God from our foundation. I agree with another poster, that these immature animals garner all their courage because they aren’t required to be face to face with their targets. The bully pulpit is one thing, but how can anyone in authority ignore some of these tweets, that are overt threats ?
      As for Dupnick, the sheriff /political pundit wannabe. He was an epic failure, in that Loughner had at least 5 arrests ,yet his record was clean when backround was run at the gun shop where he purchased the glock. The truth I believe will be forthcoming, his mother who works as a county supervisor is a good friend of ole Clarence..And he made sure there was never a conviction.. So just exactly WHO had a hand in allowing this sick individual carry out his “assassination ”. The truth will come out.

    Ugliness is a virus…it spreads from person to person and sometimes infects an entire group. People like Palin, Beck, and Limbaugh see the shooting in Tucson for the tragedy it really is. People on the left see the shooting as tragic because the objects of their disdain (conservative commentators) remain once again holding the moral high ground.

    I believe everyone has a right to speak their mind and voice their opinion…but the opinions and rhetoric submitted by the left has me a bit nervous. What’s next, America?

    I ask that everyone who sees this prays for Sarah. Because she is such an amazing person and fights for what is right, she is obviously faced with these challenges. No one should have these things said about them, NO one. This is disgusting and infuriates me.

      That is so true. It is so much “easier” to say things when you are not looking at someone. Text messages, email, even these comments are basically anonymous – X-box, WII, internet game sites all promote anonymity. The youngest of our generations are lost in this. My grandchildren 10 and up have Facebook accounts, cell phones, and email addresses. They don’t talk to faces and eyes anymore. I am 63 and send my texts, emails, blog comments — hard to disparage someone else’s lack of communication in “real-time” when I do the same.

      Though they never cease to shock/disappoint me either, these tweets are par for the liberal course I’m afraid. One thing positive I can say about bringing them here, as hard as it is to read such vile stuff….I read through 5 pages of posts and not one from Whiteteaparty!! How pleasant was that!! And people wonder about the effects of taking religion out of schools, here you have it, no regard for human life what-so-ever. I bet if Gabby Giffords knew how this nation is behaving she would be horrified and ashamed. Apparently there are more clones of this killer out there than we ever realized and hopefully they will be brought to justice before another tragedy occurs.

      One “helpful” thing has come of this horrible event (remember Romans 8:28). It has revealed just how incredibly far so many on the left have fallen into darkness (Jn 8:12). The irrational hatred they hold [evidenced by these horrid twittings] for anything or anyone (Palin) that challenges their very fragile world view is actually driven by a deep but growing fear. It has to be. Their “guts” churn just at her sight because they know she represents another world view, one that is polar opposite and the root of their deep seeded fears. And because we are all without excuse, they have to be saying deep down, “what if she is right, could there really be a creator who has a plan for each of us and will hold us accountable one day? My gut seems to agree.”

      That is the nightmare Paul Krugman wakes from.

They will get their judgement come judgment time. We certainly can judge them as crazy, but we must rise above the classlessness, hate and lies, and walk the narrow path. If these people start shooting right wingers in retribution, their days will be short lived, I can only see an uprising coming from such actions, but this time it will be a final conflict. I hope this never happens, and I say this NOT to make any threats to anyone, I abhor violence, as I’ve lived through a civil war, and it AIN’T pretty, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy! I do hope cooler heads do prevail the day, and pray to God, to help us bring sanity back to America.

      Gosh, the people Tweeting such things need Christ’s salvation so bad. They need to bend their knees and pray and accept the risen Christ as their savior and repent their sins and turn away from this hate and pain that must surely consume them.

      I cannot imagine how awful it must be to live in such any empty and painful state. I pray that each of them finds their way to God through Jesus Christ and that their hearts and souls are restored and healed. I pray God restrains their hands and mouths and keeps them from violence and I pray for Sarah Palin and her family; for their strength and protection. I pray for Rep. Giffords, all the victims of the terrible crimes and all their families. I pray for all of us.

Have you purchased a gun and filled out the paper work? I have, numerous times and there are questions on there like, are you a citizen? are you under investigation? It is ridiculous to think that a question is going to stop someone from going on a shooting rampage.

Obama could have cautioned people not to jump to conclusions and place blame. Obama could have shown leadership, but he didn’t. That was his choice.
