What you’re seeing (or maybe not seeing) are soldiers from the Egoz reconnaissance unit of the Israeli Defense Force, reports The Daily Mail. It also gives some history:

Founded in 1956, the Egoz reconnaissance unit of the Israeli Defense Force is a special unit trained in guerilla tactics. Its battalion is part of the Northern Command’s Golani Brigade.

Their training starts with basic exercises, then advanced exercises, and unit marches, after which each soldier is interviewed by Israeli intelligence to determine if he should be screened out from the second phase of training.

It is in the second phase when recruits learn camouflage warfare plus various kinds of assaults, land navigation, jeep driving, counter-terrorism, parachuting, reconnaissance and the alpine warfare.

A YouTube video purports to explain more about the unit’s training. It’s in Hebrew but with English subtitles, and touches on the soldiers’ ability to blend in:

    Training with the Israeli Army was always great. We learned a lot. And Yes all of the former South African troops I have been around and received instruction from were incredible. May God bless the Israelis, and if need be I will join their ranks in the upcoming war that is becoming inevitable.

      There are actually US Army officers who say they would refuse to fight against Israel if they willfully attacked the United States.

      Can you imagine serving bravely on the USS Liberty? Israeli forces attacked with full knowledge that this was an American ship and lied about it. More Americans died and were injured than the cowardly USS Cole bombing. The Liberty incident is being suppressed by religious fanatics who love the old testament more than their country. Oy Veh!

      Most people are completely oblivious as to what the State of Israel represents. The State of Israel represents the prophecy as written in Jeremiah 24 and the final generation of this earth age. The State of Israel is mainly made up of the tribe of Judah. They also represent the final generation of this earth eon (age). The poster Lequoix talks of the inevitable war, which is referring to the war with Iran (Persia). That too is written in prophecy (Daniel 8 and 11) and we will draw closer to that point as Iran (Persia) and its ally Russia (Esau) take over the OPEC oil business. And you though this surrounding Saudi Arabia was all about an Arab Spring?
      That war with Iran (Persia) is the final blow which will bring about the closing of this Earth age and the 1000 years of teaching which are defined in Revelation chapter 20. Two Christ’s will appear during that time, the first one is a fake and you cannot mistake the second. So standing with our Brother Judah is important at this very moment in time. This is prophecy and we are living through it, boys and girls. Why do I get the feeling most of you already knew (intuitively) this was the end of this earth age?

      I saw them immediately because of the color differentiation. But I have found that in war if you hide in plain site your enemy will nigh on stumble over you.       No dublinthewagons, that’s no my point, although you get Blaze points for your imaginative response. My point was that having gays in the Israeli military hasn’t seemed to harm their military effectiveness, although the right say that’s what happens when a military allows soldiers to be openly gay. I don’t think the Israelis are cowards as you suggest. I think they’re a fierce and smart fighting force.

      The Israeli’s are great people, and as far as the lies monicne is posting, I don’t believe. Yes, the Israelies did sink our ship the “Liberty”, but what Monicne fails to mention is that the Israelies did not try to cover up their “mistake”. They paid compensation to the families who lost loved ones and compensation for the boat, with interest for years….hardly a cover up. And what Monicne fails to mention is that we were never Israels friend until about the mid 70′s under President Richard Nixon. We were neutral. Before that, Israel pretty much had the world against her and was in a fight for her survival. We had no business being over in her waters roaming around with countries attempting to destroy her. Israel prewarned us that they would fire on any ship off their coast and told the U.S. to let her know if they were off her coast so they would not mistaken us. We failed to notify them and as a result they mistook our ship as an enemy’s. Israel gave fair warning before they attacked but we screwed up on communicating to them who we were as we crept in on their shore. Israel is a friend in the middle east who share‘s America’s values and needs our protection, to side with her enemies is to help our enemies against the U.S.

    a person with normal vision would have a hard time spotting them… but a person who is colorblind can spot them in pretty much no time at all.. i wonder if they still use colorblind people for spotting people like this? they use to.. i’m colorblind and believe me in everyday living my choices in clothing can be a bit eccentric looking.. ok let’s tell the truth.. my clothing choices can be ridiculous unless I check with someone.. i bought bowling shoes and always thought they were gray until someone wanted to borrow them and they told me they were pink.. what a laugh.. hardy har har.. running around thinking my shoes were cool gray.. yep.. that is my lot.. i used logic when i bought them.. i thought they had to be gray because who in the hell would make pink shoes???

      I spotted them. I do art work and digital art, etc., and I am not color blind. Also do the Sudoku puzzles when I watch TV. I cannot keep not busy doing something like watching TV. So I do not think color blind is a factor for some of us.

      Relax, I saw them in the first 3 seconds…if they were actually trying they could have hid a couple of squads up there with one sitting next to the tree at the bottom of the picture. I actually gave up after 5 seconds because I figured there was no way it was that easy, they must be looking at us from under their individual canopy’s.

      These are Isreali soldiers and should tell you what type of military they have.They do not need our help one bit, they just need us to step aside. This is what most do not understand. Isreal has the fourth strongest military in the world, behind the U.S., Russia and China. If we were to tell Isreal to do what they thought best for their sovereignty amd that we would stay out of their way, we would not have the problems over there, that we have today.

    Another soldier that deserves credit is the Rhodesian Selous Scouts, another great bush warefare specialist like the South Africans ( same people). Sadly the west ( America and Britain) pushed both South Africa and Rhodeia to be handed over to the Marxist/Communist enemies we were fighting for 30 years.

    look up South African Recces ( special forces ) during the 80′s when we were fighting the Soviets, East Germany, Cuba and Black communists in Angola, our boys would be dropped by air hundreds of miles into enemy territory and would stay out there 2-4 guys at a time for weeks at a time doing recon work and taking care of the enemy they would come accross. And then make there own way out to safety. Now those boys are the masters of Guerilla Warefare and stealth. If you can live near your enemy’s camp for a week without them finding you, now thats impressive. These pictures are crap.       Years ago I was out in the bush on a walking safari at Wankie Park in Zimbabwe. Our guide was a former member of the Rhodesian Light Infantry. He said that his unit eventually morphed into D Squadron of the 22 SAS. To qualify, a soldier was taken deep in the bush via chopper and dropped off. The candidate had seven days to get back to HQS, living off the land and whatever he could carry. This guy did it. I still call it Rhodesia. Used to have a Selous Scouts T-shirt that eventually became tattered from overuse.

      I’ve lived in Israel for a year — they are just like us. And it’s a hell of a lot safer there — you can walk through just about any town at night — back in the late 1970‘s and early 1980’s crime was almost unheard of. I guess the threat of having a terrorist kill you tended to keep most people in line.

      Anyway, their military is phenomenal — and for all the people who are “snickering” at how well and fast they picked out the soldiers — they would never have released this photo if it revealed their “best” camo-secrets. Furthermore, it’s one thing to find something in a photo where/when you were “prompted” to look for something in the photo. It’s an entirely different thing to decide what small section of the 360 degrees all around you you are going to focus on to try and find an enemy while you are walking / stalking outside.

      There is so much hot air in some of the comments about “finding the soldiers in ‘only 2 seconds’” that there’s no air left to breathe. What egos. Try showing a little humility?

    As much as I enjoy taking jabs at my Marine brothers, Marine sniper teams disappear in front of your eyes. I am sure these Isreali troops are top line soldiers and are deadly in their work.(I can’t connect to YouTube for some unknown reason.) I don’t want to say but, but this looks like normal cover and concealment that you would expect from any fully trained soldier.

    All you need to do is look for the black bottoms of their shoes. They’re black. You can easily pick them all out. That’s the one most vulnerable location – not even the soldiers themselves think of that mostly because you never look at the soles of your foot gear when you’re wearing them. The soles should be the same color as the landscape. These guys failed on that score..

    Of course you can spot him. He is wearing dark grey in a beige environment. Anyone with a decent eye cant see that. If this is israels most elite and stealthy soldier then they are in big trouble.

      Take advantage of the “hope and change” in your own environment… go down to your local Recruiter and enlist in the Service of your choice. I hear they’re accepting Gays now… you might fit right in with the “F” Troop volunteers.

      I had two Marine force recons pull that on me in Texas in 2000. It is UNSETTLING to have two men, both over 6′ tall, just appear out of the ground at your feet, each with a BFG.

      Until that day I thought I was good at being stealthy. I was wrong. If I’d been their target, I’d have been dead wrong.

      One of those guys was tasked to the Drug Interdiction Taskforce, where he earned a reputation for shooting off the tips of cigarettes the dope runners were smoking.
