Canada Turns Away Obama’s Old Pal, 1960s Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers

Bill Ayers is a proud radical. Mr. Ayers admits to co-founding the Weather Underground, a group whose members set off bombs at banks, the home of a judge, the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol building during the 1960s. In order to avoid arrest, Ayers and several of his fellow “Weathermen” had to live in hiding for over a decade. He surfaced in the 1980s with companion (and the mother of his children) Bernadine Dohrn.

Canada Turns Away Obamas Old Pal, 1960s Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers

Oddly enough, it was on September 11, 2001, the New York Times printed a story about Bill Ayers, quoting him about the bombings that his group orchestrated:

”I don’t regret setting bombs,” Bill Ayers said. ”I feel we didn’t do enough.”

Is it any wonder that Canada has turned Ayers away for the third time in recent years?

Canada Turns Away Obamas Old Pal, 1960s Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers

For the record, Ayers was slated to deliver the keynote address to the Worldview Conference on Media and Higher Education. The group hosting the event, Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA), is not very pleased with that officials turned their Keynote speaker away, but Canadian Law clearly forbids entry into the country to persons involved:

“in criminal activity, in human rights violations or in organized crime.”

The conference organizer  and President of the OCUFA, Mark Langer, delivered the best quote related to the story as he compared an admitted terrorist bomber to America’s most successful Domestic Designer:

“I am disturbed by the apparent inconsistency in the enforcement of Canada’s border, in the past, we have admitted Martha Stewart, a convicted felon.”

As of this writing, Mr. Ayers has reportedly hired attorneys on both sides of the border between Canada and America, in hopes of breaking through the legal impasse in time to deliver tomorrow’s keynote address.

Impudent, arrogant pseudo-intellectual. Priviledged, self centered egomaniac. and he TEACHES at U of Chicago. Firmly believes that he and he alone knows the way to lead people to a better way of life.
Instead of recognizing his inadequacies and leaving other people alone, he attempts to tell them how WRONG they are in the way they live their lives, never fully grasping the fact that maybe he’s not quite as smart as he would have everyone believe. Again, ” He who knows that he knows not,TEACH him, He who knows not that he knows not, LEAD him ” Ayers needs to be lead, he just can’t see the wisdom in following.

Yep…The date jives with the house party you’re referring too and also note that our president signed a contract with the Democratic Socialists of America”s New Party. From their own website.

“About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP’s political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to “win”. This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.”

They also hate America and have hated America since the sixties when the were high on acid, mushrooms and weed. Funny thing is they are good friends with Barac Obama. True, but there are nonviolent felons, and then there are those who perpetually advocate violent acts against others. Had I the choice, I would certainly exclude those advocating violent acts from my country. Obviously, Canadians feel the same way. Ayers is not a Canadian citizen, and therefore has no right to impose his prescence upon another country.

This was on his first visit to France after Sarkozy was caught on a “hot” mike with a fleeting anti-Obama comment. He has to show everyone who is boss. It’s personal, and he doesn’t care if his “punishments” are in the country’s best interest or not.

Canada still has a long way to go though. We have progressive fever. In Quebec a judge ruled that a family had to send their preschool children to state run daycare, on the grounds that the child needed the social interaction with other children. We also have these farces called Human Rights Boards, they are quasi-legal boards that can fine people for speech. We had a fellow go though over two years fighting them because he published those Mohamed cartoons.
All said and done we are doing well compared to Europe and the States, no banking or housing crisis, no high unemployment, and we are starting to build and use our military.

It makes me laugh that a terrorist is offended. Again, LIBERALS/SOCIALIST want no consequences for their actions. The most amzing thing is that people want to bring in a 60′s Timothy McVeigh to speak at all. I think that demonstrates and says more about institutions of higher education than anything.

      @Bob

Lets cut through the sweet talk and get strait to business.

You do not like Ron Paul because your a progressive hawk. You and Lindsey Graham and or John Mccain have the same views so much so I will from this day forward call you Lindsey or John. You pick.

As for Islam, yes it‘s a religion dumb nuts but it’s a false religion according to my beliefs. Islam poses no threat except for the wackos like you in Islam who promote holy war and think God wants you to die for him.

Notice in ‘07-’08 debates Ron Paul stood alone and said we need to stop making enemies and occupying foreign nations, bring troops home, and take care of Americans.  In the ‘11 debates Ron Paul said the same and all the candidates half way agreed with him. Sounds like most candidates are flip flopping.

If your only complaint is Ron Paul won’t be the world police nor would he run a war machine, then I don’t think you have any complaints.

You can bank on if anyone but Paul is elected we will have the same crapola we’ve had the last 2 years, 8 years before that and 8 years before that. Nothing will change, things will just become worse. That’s a check you can cash.

Your for the Constitution or your against it. Glenn said just that. Which are you?

      Have a great day Lindsey!

      Ron Paul 2012

Chazman – Canada did let in Anne Coulter – it was the University of Ottawa the prevented her from speaking by not providing adequate security in the face of their students’ violent protest – the City of Ottawa police said that they couldn’t provide her security. But then the University of Ottawa is the great bastion of radical thought (as long as you agree with their thoughts!!)

@ allredtail look at the last elections in Canada a conservative gouvernment won. we have a 15% capital gains taxe it is much higher in the us. Our national debt is low. Yes we were a liberal country and we still have a lot of work to do but we are heading in the right direction.

I really hope that you vote Obama out of office in 2012, and get back to what made America the great country that it is.

Canadian officials don’t want Bill Ayers in their country. Can’t say that I blame them. It‘s a shame we Americans can’t make the same choice. We don’t want him or Bernadine Dohrn, his terrorist wife, in OUR country either! I’m sure his Whitehouse friend and Chicago neighbor, Barack Obama, could put in a good word for him or even threaten to bomb Canada for our National Interest.
