There are still 11 days until the highly anticipated “The Dark Knight Rises,” the final installation to Christopher Nolan’s Batman series starring Christian Bale in the title role. For those of you who can’t wait though, Warner Brothers released a 13-minute featurette over the weekend to satiate your excitement until the real deal comes out.
As The Movie Box points out, it may be mostly behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews, but the extended preview still may have some clips you haven’t seen in the trailers yet.
Check it out:
“The Dark Knight” officially hits theaters on July 20.

Posted on July 10, 2012 at 9:22pmFor those self-righteous whiners ranting about “Oh, I won’t go see this movie, even though it’s probably gonna be awesome–I will NOT support evil Marxist Hollywood”–
Did it ever occur to you that more and more films these days–ESPECIALLY superhero films–are films that Conservatives can watch WITHOUT having to see their principles bashed? Don’t you REMEMBER what Glenn Beck saw in “The Dark Knight”–how it is an effective allegory for the War on Terror?
And…if you’re whining so much about Evil Marxist Hollywood–why don’t you bite the bullet, and either support movies made by Conservatives/Christians–or MAKE…YOUR…OWN!!!
Put up, or shut up. I am going to see this movie–and I expect to have a good time watching it.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 11:56pmI will admit that I would like to see this movie. However, you must decide where your allegiances are. These people are taking money, which is your time, and your life, and they are giving it to something that is Godless and sinful. They are taking our money, our life and creating a new country with it. It is not just a movie, where someone is doing a job, and we can appreciate it. It is a type of coercion that the world has not seen in this manner before. But it has happened before in history. It is tempting us with something that looks delicious and offering it to us for just a few hours and a few dollars. But like all trickery and temptations that seem fairly inconsequential, it will take more from us that we can imagine. It is time that we begin to start to put our money, our time, and our life where our principles and morals are. I will not trade that for a few hours of computerized graphics and an old story that has been revamped with new actors that espouse Marxism. Those out there who do not see this have been enslaved by Hollywood. They are fools to think that there is not a connection between the amount of money taken in by these people who pretend to be something and these companies that sell lies as reality and the way the country is turning. Wake up. Don’t be a fool. Stop living in a fantasy world. Whether it be in a movie, or video game or whatever media you have lost yourself in. Wake up and live your life in reality.

Posted on July 10, 2012 at 9:10amSo, if you went into a bakery and found out the owner donated to a political party opposite of yours, or you found out your barber did the same, would you never spend money there again? If not then you are a hipocrite. If so then you are a fool who lets your own politics change the fact that we are all Americans seeking the dream. What about Muslims? Would you refuse to shop at a buisness owned by Muslims since their faith is in conflict with yours?

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 9:21pmIt’s pretty sad when you refuse to watch a great movie because your worried that the actors might support Obama. If that is where you are in your life, then it’s time to stop watching basketball, football, baseball, television in general, and movies on the whole. You folks can deprive yourselves of what looks to be an epic showdown between good and evil; I still enjoy the stories and the action sequences way too much. I expect this movie to continue in the trend of the first two, being a true reflection of the real comicbook character, and not a reflection of the Batman series or the previous movies.
So what if they support Obama; it’s their money to do with what they please. Most of the country sees Obama for what he is, a great evil that only the force of good will defeat. Batman is much the same way; he is a force of good going against a great evil. And I don’t care what you say, when it comes to great actors, Morgan Freeman is near the top of the list. And I don’t deprive myself of great acting abilities just because someone is liberal. As far as Ann Hathaway and OWS is concerned, who cares? They have become irrelevant by their own actions, and their true colors have shown through, and the American people know them for what they are. A bunch of pot head criminals looking to mooch off real Americans hard work. (not that there is anything wrong with being a pothead as long as you earn your own way, you should be free to make your own choices.)

Posted on July 10, 2012 at 1:00amI tend to support KOZYS . I love movies but I think that we are all slowly bending with society from religion to entertainment or whatever else fires your spark plugs. Am I the only one that believes that we are a worse nation because of the huge reduction of moral and religious values? WAKE UP!

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 8:58pmWow, just think of how far the country is going to go with all of the cynics and naysayers who can‘t even temporarily be inspired by seeing Good kick Evil’s ass in a superhero movie. Maybe some of you downers who sit at your computers writing pointless and nasty things on blogs could actually learn a thing or two from a fictional character. “The Dark Knight Rises”…maybe some of you could do the same and RISE UP off your lazy butts and do something positive for America instead of bitching about a movie.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 9:01pmEveryone who is awesome and cool… which obviously you do not fall into that category! Get a life, no one can entirly focus on the problems of the real world for their entire lives. We must have some joy and entertainment in our lives. But I guess you are just lame and your life must be pretty pathetic. I pity you.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 7:39pmA wasted reboot, if you ask me – just like the new Superman. (The Amazing Spiderman not only lived up to it’s title, but also restored the comicbook tale correctly.) Think about it – the 3rd installment of the rebooted Batman is where he throws in the cape and ends it? Sad.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 9:05pmObviously you do not know the story behind Batman and Bane. Bane breaks Batmans back in the comics so I imagine that is what occurs here. That is probably why he is out of commission for a while. Now I don’t know for sure, just following the Batman lore.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 8:14pmWhy must everything be political nowadays? It’s getting absolutely ridiculous how divisive we have become from our fellow man over it. Put politics aside for once, because there are always going to be people who you don’t agree with politically. Whether you agree with the actors or not, that should not stop you from watching what is going to be an awesome movie. Acting is there job. I‘m sure you wouldn’t like it if you were a baker for a living, and a majority of your customers stopped buying your goods because of your political side.

Report Post »Amen! Don’t listen to this moron or any who say similar things. I do not go to movies to watch a live person, I go to watch an actor play a specific role. Who cares what his views are in real life. Just like I don’t care what political views my baker, barber, bag lady, cashier, or any other person I do buisness with. They provide a service I want, just like the actors and Hollywood provide entertainment I want to enjoy. Don’t be stupid people… but that is to much to ask I suppose for the imbiciles who place politics in everything. Good job morons for wasting your life and taking the joy out of it. Boy you must be lame to be around. I feel sorry for your friends. (granted, with that attitude, you probably don’t have any)

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 4:14pmFor a ‘blockbuster’ action film to be released this late in the summer season means that the studio is very worried that the second weekend drop off in ticket sales will be ASTRONOMICAL because the movie SUCKS!

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 7:44pmNice try, but the previous installment was released at almost the exact same time (July 18th) to wild success. I don’t think that they were worried then, and they don’t seem to be worried now.

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 10:20pmYou guys fricken serious?? Who gives two sh*ts about their political views. These movies are f*ckin awesome! I love watching movies regardless of actors’ views. I also listen to HEAVILY left leaning musicians, and watch professional athletes play sports who vote democrat. I use Microsoft, founded by a democrat. And I’m a Libertarian. This kind of behavior is just sick. I‘m not going to pretend these people aren’t highly talented just because they have different beliefs than me. I could understand if you thought they were just boring movies, but there‘s no way in hell I’m gonna miss the movie of the year (second to The Hobbit of course) just because of an actor’s politics. Grow the **** up and learn to live with them not against them.
