Carney Takes Swipe at Sarah Palin After McCain Says Biden Should be Dropped: Wouldn’t Go to McCain for VP Advice

White House press secretary Jay Carney took a shot at former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, saying he wouldn’t ask Sen. John McCain for running mate advice after the Arizona senator suggested President Barack Obama drop Joe Biden from the Democratic ticket.
Carney, speaking to reporters during the White House press briefing Thursday, was asked to say “once and for all” that Obama and Biden were running together.
“Yes, and that was settled a long, long time ago,” Carney said. “While I appreciate – I have great admiration for and great respect for and a long relationship with Senator John McCain, but one place I would not go to for advice for vice presidential running mates is to Senator McCain.”
There has been an uptick in chatter and speculation about whether Obama could drop Joe Biden as his running mate in the wake of the vice president’s high profile “put y’all back in chains” remark to a mixed-race audience this week. McCain, who chose Palin as his 2008 running mate, said Wednesday it “might be wise” for Obama to remove Biden from the ticket, before adding: “That’s not going to happen, obviously.”

Now Obama doesn’t want it to look like Sarah is smart about this, and he doesn’t want to look like an idiot by keeping Biden.
Kind of like “back at ya.” Like moving in next door to the White House with spy glasses and listening devices waiting for Obama to catch up with his past.
