Carolina Storm Secret — Gin & Tonics for Breakfast

AP — Nearly 200,000 homes in North Carolina are without power as Hurricane Irene slams into the state.

Winds of up to 80 miles per hour whipped ashore Saturday morning, ripping power lines from poles and snapping trees in half.

Hardest hit were Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, N.C., where Progress Energy reports 190,000 customers without power. Most of those customers are residences.

Duke Energy also reports about 2,300 customers without power, mostly in Durham, N.C. SCE&G, which serves most of South Carolina, says it restored power to 2,500 customers last night.

Much more damage is expected as Irene travels up the Eastern Seaboard.

Hurricane warnings were issued from North Carolina to New York, and evacuation orders covered about 2.3 million people, including 1 million in New Jersey, 315,000 in Maryland, 300,000 in North Carolina, 200,000 in Virginia and 100,000 in Delaware. savior the moment, live on edge…as you type these sentiments from the comfort of your plush living room (or mom’s basement as the case may be).

Tell y’all what, why don’t you go out to your circuit breaker and cut the power to your house. Stay inside and keep it off for 36-48 hours then come back in here and tell us what it was like living on the edge…

Hurricanes are nothing to mess around with. Been through several and will go through several more. This was a mild cat 3 storm. Nothing to toy with. However, traveling north along the coast, it was bound to downgrade as it hit cooler waters. Always better to be safe than sorry. All that mumbo jumbo aside, it’s always good to have a back up plan. Being without power for any extended period of time sucks ass. I can’t think of a better summer time drink in a situation like this, provided you still have ice and maybe a several twists of lime :-) I sure hope all the pets are cared for!

Evil is so devious that it has consistently tried to co-opt and control the truth of the Word of God. The men who were behind Christ’s martyrdom were the Bible scholars of his day. These men were occultists. They used the Bible for their own arrogant purposes. Today, within the Illuminati is an arrogance. They have run this planet for hundreds of years. Their occult power has not been seriously challenged or stopped by the God of the Bible. They haven’t seen any lightening bolts from heaven ordering them to stop. Actually there have been a number of strong witnesses of God’s power to these generational satanic families, but in general most of them are too arrogant to accept any witness from God Almighty. In reality, the Illuminati’s power is ultimately that of a paper dragon, but its appearance is very frightening. The point is, the movers and shakers do not have a proper fear of the God of the Bible, so they think they can use the Bible for their own agendas.

I can think of numerous benefits to the Illuminati to preach Armageddon including the following:

The fear about disasters puts us into a survival mode and rather than think about concepts such as freedom and faith in Christ; we are easy to manipulate because we will do most anything to survive. (“Help us, we need FEMA, and please give them total dictatorial emergency powers.”) Fear and trauma are also key components to their total mind-control.

It makes the God of the Bible appear wrathful and crue

Ignoring the fact that this post has no relevance to the article, the link you provided was a complete waste of time. It is full of doctrinal errors that are completely wrong and full of contradictions. I advise you to have the book of revelation translated exegetically from the koine greek so you can see the errors in the article. The good that opposes the evil in the tribulation is not the beleivers, it is Christ and Christ alone. This article is a result of an individual who probably skimmed over the KJV without any guidance by a pastor teacher. “The day and hour of the rapture is unknown.” The tribulation is full of sequencial and chronological prophecies, so if the rapture takes place after the tribulation it would be very clear when the rapture is going to occur wouldnt it? The rapture also takes place in a time of “false peace”, do you really think that towards the end of the tribulation there is going to be a feeling of peace? This is why its called the tribulation!! People need to stop speculating about end times, we are only asked to be prepared.

      CCSully,
watch news coverage from southern ‘Fly Over’ any day of the week, if there is any. Or, God forbid, if there is a report of some kind from a NASCAR event, that gin swilling guy IS the poster child FOR ‘the south’ as far as the MSM is concerned. And, evidently, no one with teeth or a HS Diploma has ever had their home destroyed by a tornado down here either.

And like I said, I can get typical news from ANY other outlet I don’t need a subscription to have media talk down to me, or millions of other people like me from southern states!

How’s it hit you when they show people from MA rioting after a ball game? You don’t care, because the spin is never that ALL the people of MA are involved. However, southern news always starts and ends with the gin rummy, or others like him, in the picture.

Where are the pictures of the tens of thousands of reasonable, sober people who DID leave?

GILFORD, N.H. — After a lunch speech today, Ron Paul slammed the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, and said that no national response to Hurricane Irene is necessary.

“We should be like 1900; we should be like 1940, 1950, 1960,” Paul said. “I live on the Gulf Coast; we deal with hurricanes all the time. Galveston is in my district.

“There’s no magic about FEMA. They’re a great contribution to deficit financing and quite frankly they don’t have a penny in the bank. We should be coordinated but coordinated voluntarily with the states,” Paul told NBC News. “A state can decide. We don’t need somebody in Washington.”
