Which Candidate Did Santorum Accuse of Sounding Like…Occupy Wall Street?

Mitt Romney took the fight to Rick Santorum right out of the gate in Wednesday night’s debate. And Santorum hit back with a surprising attack.

“Governor Romney even today suggested raising taxes on the top one percent, adopting the Occupy Wall Street rhetoric,” Santorum snapped at Romney.

This line of attack may surprise some, as Romney’s experience at Bane Capital in many ways makes him arguably the archetypal anti-Occupy candidate. In fact, in previous debates, Romney has accused candidates such as Newt Gingrich of the same thing. Still, Romney kept his cool against Santorum’s attack.

“There were so many misrepresentations in there it’s going to take me a little while,” Romney chuckled, before refuting the attack.

Romney is the progressive establishment. He is in the line of the rest of the Republican fascist who love the fact big corporations are allowed to price gouge American citizens at the pump. Dane corporations made millions by dismantling business and taking their customers for their own. They didn’t attempt to turn these companies around and save jobs, they chopped them up into tiny pieces, the same way the government controlled companies will chop up small business owners. The government controlled corporations of the future will divvy up the sectors of business and muscle in and push out all competition until only the chosen company is left to operate in that field.

We are working on 24 years of Harvard socialist and Yale fascist fighting over who will rule over the people of the United States. They have robbed the people and the nation of it’s wealth and left but a shell of the Republic that it once was, now they go to work dismantling the Constitution.

We keep worrying about a candidate, we need to be worried about our Republic.

Romney and Obama don’t represent the people, they represent their agendas, big business and big government. What a choice, both will screw the American people out of their money and freedoms in order to gain more power.

@ EGG, That’s laughable. If by capitalist you mean he’s very wealthy and likes making money, then I guess he is, but then again there are a lot of communists and socialists you can say the same thing about. There isn’t any man out of these candidates that understands and believes in free markets (capitalism) more than Paul. I can assure you Romney won’t even argue that fact. The economic system the other three believe in varies, but in general it’s a blend of capitalism and socialism (government intervention in private business). In some other parts of the world where this economic system is more popular, it goes by National Socialism.

Authoring books and profiting from those books based on your own merit and how well they sell is also free market isn’t it? It almost looked Santorum had given up tonight. In very John Kerryesque fashion he exposed himself as the status quo politician he is.

“I voted for No Child Behind Before I stopped supporting it”
“I voted to fund planned parenthood, but I’m the strongest social conservative candidate here”
“I have the strongest conviction here but most of my votes were based upon being a team player for the Republican instead of doing what was right”
” I’m going to repeal Obama Care but I endorsed the senator who made Obama Care possible”

Does anybody really believe this man is going to all of a sudden be honest and trustworthy as soon as he steps foot in the White house? Or is it more likely he’s saying what he has to say now so he can get the nomination and then govern the way he did during his career as a Senator? For yourselves and for your families you should know without a doubt what you believe the answer to these questions are, because this nation certainly can’t withstand another term of Obama and for that matter, George W. Bush incarnate in Rick Santorum.

Hey Tanker, if you are of the peaceful, tolerant Christian type, then you have nothing to worry about. It is the counterpart “Christian Taliban” that needs to be silenced. Just like the Middle East Taliban. When you have no tolerance for another person just because of his religion, or you actively trash someone else’s religion, then yes, you need to be silenced through disapproval. It is precisely the reason we have so much incivility in this country, because people think it is okay in the name of God to be insensitive to another person’s belief. If the Mormons were blowing you up or threatening to annihilate you, then yes, stopping them would be appropriate. Yes, you are right, evangelicals need to live up to their religion. Look at the comments on here “bullying” others.

They’ve wasted all these debates with petty fighting.

It’s vitally important to get that pro-black community organizer out of there. Things will be bad enough with a Republican in for the next four years, but having Reverend Wright’s little stooge back in for four more will be devestating.

Right now I have to say that the candidates look so weak Obama will probably serve another term.

What the moderates don’t understand, is it is the Christian right that determines whether or not a Republican gets elected. If they don’t show up in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida then the democraps win the election. The Christian right did not show up for the closet liberal McCain in 2008 and we ended up with King Hussein and his merry band of socialist in power.
Romney can’t carry the Christian right vote because many of the Christian right believe that the LDS is an abomination of Christianity.
The Christian right will determine who wins this election, either by coming out and voting for a candidate they believe represents their views or staying home because neither candidate represents their views.
Santorum seems to be the only candidate the Christian right is willing to get behind at the polls.

So it is true… I thought all these Blazers were just objective Americans expressing their opinions. Turns out they are mostly Mormons trying to promote a Mormon for president. Imagine that!!!

For all the bashing of the fundamental Christian right, please remember, no person gets elected without the Catholic vote. That includes Obama, and whoever is the nominated for the Republican side.

I like Paul for everything except his foreign policy, I like Santorum for his principles and discussing about how the US is under attack by evil forces just like our buddy Glenn preaches. I don’t trust Romney because like Santorum who equated evil with Satan in a speech to other Catholics, Romney credits the dead spirit of the son of Mormon ( the Angel Maroni) with the giving of the Book of Mormon, just as archangel Jibril who appeared to Muhammad and dictated the Koran to him. We know Islam is fundamentally evil as its prophet did sinful and evil things in establishing Islam, and now those people are hell bent on annihilation of Israel and every other non-Muslim.

Mormans aren’t quite so bad because they maintain a semblance Christianity due to influence of the Bible even if it is used mainly to try to justify the Book of Mormon.
Listen guys, if you believe God could incarnate Himself in Jesus Christ a perfect and sinless man from a fallen female human being, don’t you think he could keep His Word the Bible accurately copied through fallen men as scribes? It is FI
