Caught on Audio: NY Official Makes Ominous Tucson Reference in Heated MeetingAMSTERDAM, N.Y. — A public official in upstate New York has apologized for alluding to the shooting rampage in Arizona during a contentious meeting on a businessman’s proposal for a new landfill.

Local newspapers first reported that Amsterdam Common Council Alderman William Wills told recycling company owner Robert Noel that if he continues to push the landfill plan, “it’s going to be just like what happened unfortunately to an Arizona congressman.”

Wills apparently was referring to Saturday’s shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 19 others in Tucson.

Noel abruptly left the meeting after the comment.

      Ok. Thanks for that. One of the things I read, people were bashing him for being involved with the Tea Party and supporting Carl Paladino for gov. I couldn’t imagine a real conservative saying something that stupid, but I just wanted to be sure.

    Just this morning on a San Francisco station, Jackie Speir was being interviewed and the discussion was the rhetoric, etc. And at one point she made reference that it sometimes seems like Congress is at WAR. She then back peddled and said “Figuratively speaking.” Sorry Jackie you said it you have to own up to it, those are the rules that the left has put in place. GOTCHA!

    The reason they didn‘t mention his party affiliation is because he’s one of “us”. Shame on our side for doing the same thing the likes of MSNBC would do.

      I can’t recall exactly where I read it, but I think it was a book about Forensic Science and the examination of human remains that were found either after being killed or having died in an accident and how they can determine if there was an attempt to cover up a crime. The Vince Foster case was mentioned, and there were some very strange things, especially how they concluded that it was suicide. Among other things, the park was in or very near DC, and the FBI used metal detectors to find slugs (bullets) in the area around the body. They found SEVERAL, including at least 2 under the body in the ground. There was also unexplained fiber evidence, but of course, that did not mean anything at all, clearly he shot himself 2 times and wiped strange fabrics over his clothing when he committed suicide. Dosen’t everyone do this?

      Alderman William Wills is a democrat. I can’t say I agree that he was personally threatening Noel but it is an example of heated rhetoric from the left which doesn’t seem to be as rare as the pundits on the left would have you believe. According to MSNBC anyway, only the right is guilty of this – I suppose they don’t watch their own programs – not surprising as not too many people do.

      Where are you getting that he is a Democrat. From what I’ve read, he’s a Tea Partier. If he is, he certainly doesn’t represent me or anybody else I know involved in the TP. What he said was reprehensible, and I don’t care what he meant by it. Use your head man! If you think that was a smart comment to make, I don’t want you in office regardless of party affiliation.

      I seriously believe that if you woke a liberal up from a sound sleep, the first words out of their mouth would be “We need Gun Control, and we should raise taxes to pay for it!”

      The dust had not even settled from the situation in Tucson when the liberal congresscritters had already blown the dust off the gun control bills that have been in the desk drawers, and as a special added bonus, they have decided to attack the first amendment while they would attacking the second amendment.

      They want to ban speech and symbols that can be “perceived” as being a threat. George Orwell brought this up very well in 1984. Limiting the ability to express yourself by considering “Thoughtcrime” (Hate speech, hate crimes…. sound familiar?) creating “Newspeak” and limiting your ability to express thoughts contrary to policy. (PC Speech).
