Caught on Tape: Elderly Woman Dragged Behind SUV as Purse Thieves Speed Off

A purse-snatching incident left a 78-year-old woman hospitalized Wednesday after two young purse-snatchers tried to make a getaway in their SUV. After the thieves made off with her purse, the elderly woman was admitted to the hospital with a serious head injury and a broken ankle.
The young thieves seem to be targeting helpless victims, police say, noting that the pair stole a purse from a woman in a wheelchair just 45 minutes earlier.

Women can be very violant criminals. We women do not part easily from our handbags because that is where we , some of we, carry our important stuff. Unfortunately only important to us. They would have to drag me till my arms fell off. When going to the store I put my cards and money in my levis and leave my, just, important stuff in my purse. So if any purse snatchers read this, beware, there probably aint nothing in it you would have and you just became a criminal if you were not a criminal to start with.

But thankfully other people of good character sprang into action to aid her after the fact. People are getting desperate out there and this will increase this year. Street robberys are the easiest, then home robberys for the more brazen. I pray she’ll get better soon and stay kind hearted but be a little more guarded for her safety.

Posted on January 20, 2011 at 10:29amIncrease jail time, don’t let people out early (too crowded, hey, you did the crime you do the time under cruddy conditions), worry more about the victims (including Taxpayers who have to pay for prisons/jails/police/trials).
Worry less about the victimizers. They sure don’t worry about ruining the lives of the victims forever.
Oh, and being on drugs or being drunk – unacceptable defense unless they were forced to do the drugs or booze.
