MIAMI (AP) — Chicago center Joakim Noah is acknowledging saying “something” toward a fan during the first quarter of the Bulls’ Eastern Conference finals game in Miami on Sunday night.
Television cameras showed Noah exchanging words with someone near the Bulls bench. Noah appeared to use an obscenity in those remarks.
“I got caught up,” Noah said. “I don’t mean no disrespect to anybody.”
Noah picked up his second foul with 6:26 left in the opening quarter. Cameras remained on Noah as he went to the bench. The incident occurred after Noah sat down.
The NBA declined immediate comment. The Bulls lost to Miami 96-85, falling behind 2-1 in the series.
MIAMI – Chicago‘s Joakim Noah shouted an anti-gay slur at a fan sitting behind the Bulls’ bench Sunday night in an incident that was captured by TNT. He apologized after the game.
“I got caught up,” Noah said. “I don’t mean no disrespect to anybody. I just got caught up.”

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 11:55pmI have not been to an NBA gamme in years and have never, ever paid money to see a bunch of dropout thugs and I never will. I agree all the nba is now is thugs and gangbangers who make too much money and have no respect for anyone. If basketball went away it would be no big loss. I do guess that punks like this would otherwise beinprison. Let’s be honest – if it was not for basketball 98% of the nba players would be locked up pr dead because of some sort of illegal or immoral activity. This punk needs his teeth knocked down his throat, and hopefully it will be someoneof the gay persuasion who will do it for him. He might find out he enjoys it.

He also needs to learn proper English. Almost all of the NBS players have NO CLASS!!!!! There are only a few that are gentlemen and professionals.

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 4:03pmIt takes a lot of maturity to endure immature and obnoxious fans.
Even Barkeley almost had an altercation with one of the fans during the panel’s post game analysis.
Really, it takes a lot of maturity to ignore them.

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 8:50amIt wasn’t that long ago (before the Charles Barclay era) that players wouldn’t give a chiding fan the time of day. They just figured that fan criticisms are part of the game and were to be taken lightly. Today’s players need to lighten up. On the other hand, fans today are more like religious followers than just patrons out for some good entertainment. Many of them live and die with each victory and loss. They need to get a life!

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 7:56amHe plays games for a living and gets paid millions for it. And he still insulted his customer.
If these turds had to get a real job where they had to work overtime to support a family they would treat the people who pay their salary with a little more respect.
I think its safe to say that anyone here who has a job that deals with customers has to learn to suck it up when we or the company we work for gets insulted. If we said that to one of our customers we would be out of job. And rightfully so.

Posted on May 23, 2011 at 7:54amNo, but when a Vice President can proudly use the “F” word in a speech. A supposedly educated representative of our government, it kind lessons the effect of something said by a player in a sporting event. Is it any more correct? No
