Caught on Video: Large Waterspout Swirls Off Australian Coast

A waterspout has been spotted off the coast of New South Wales, Australia, as the region suffers severe storms and flooding.
The natural phenomenon formed off Avoca Beach, north of Sydney, producing a tall, thin funnel of cloud and water spray.
Waterspouts are formed by a high layer of cold air blowing across water, and clashing with the warm air below.
Various sea life is often caught up in the funnel, and then dumped many miles away on land.

Posted on May 30, 2011 at 12:00pmActually NOAA is one of few non-constitutional fed agencies that have saved lives and made life more pleasant in this country. loss of life from storms of all types HAS GONE DOWN since the institution was founded. Think about JOPLIN WITHOUT WARNING; instead of a death toll of so far less than 200, that loss of life could well have been in the thousands.
Further NOAA has nothing to do with Australia.
Obuma may still want to give them $$; that has NOTHING to do with NOAA.

I have seen a couple of waterspouts before, one of them off of Pensacola’s harbor, Escambia Bay, and once I realized what it was, and it was not coming my direction, it indeed was pretty neat to see and wonder at…just the sheer ferocity and beauty of one of natures forces going on.

Has anyone noticed that the lamestream media is claiming that JUST RECENTLY tornados have begun hitting DENSELY POPULATED areas? First, for those of us who grew up in tornado alley, we know that this is a huge myth that it only hits rural areas and trailer parks–second, they didn’t waste a nanosecond blaming it on humans. Jim Cantore even had the nerve to report as such from Tuscaloosa, saying that while the science doesn’t YET support it, he believes it has to be our warming environment. I used to like Jim……
