Posted on December 29, 2010 at 6:58amPeople have been taught NOT to fear traffic. This is due to 15 MPH school zones and crosswalks near schools where cars must stop. I could understand slowing down traffic at grade-schools, but this false sense of security exists at State universities in NY. I swear, the students don’t know how to cross the street. They walk into traffic without even looking because the signs say that they have the “right” to be in a crosswalk.
