Secondly, I should point out that the dude who shot up walmart in AZ was white, as were Tim Mcvey, The unabomber, Ted Bundy, Hitler, Stalin………get the idea? Violence isn‘t a race problem it’s a stupidity problem. WHat I’d like to know is where are the supposed pastors of this church. If they had any guts they would have stopped this nonsense. They did not which tells me they are playing church also.

Read the book of Acts, it will tell you how a church is to be operated – by the pastor (shepherd) not the congregation (flock). Too many so-called “churches” today are being run by committee, not by the leader of the congregation. A church is not supposed to be a democracy where the leader is voted in or out.

In the Southern Baptist denomination like it or not the deacons run the church business, and it their duty to bring up to a vote to the members whether to fire or hire a pastor.

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 11:48pmBooger71, I understand how the Southern Baptists do it, but that doesn’t make it Biblical. Too many of these “hired hand” pastors have to walk on eggshells in their church for fear of losing their job. That creates an environment where pastors water down their sermons/teaching for fear of stepping on someone’s toes. The passage of scripture (2nd Timothy 4:3) referring to “itching ears” comes to mind, where pastors feel obligated to bring just a “feel good” message, but they are really leading people astray.

The moment inner-city Democrat voters start employing logic in their everyday life and their vote that also effects my household, someone please let me know.

All BLACK groups of people. Blacks are only 14% of the population. Is this more than coincidence that all these stories are about blacks, or is the Blaze picking them? If not, what does it mean? Does it mean the blacks should quit being angry with life under the Democrats, and support conservatives? What?

It could be that the 14% of black folks are causing most of the problems in glaringly obvious public places. Although I think your 14% stat is a bit light, more like 28% but that is not relevant to my argument. I am sure that white folk, Hispanic, and all other races have all the same issues because of crumbling moral values, for the most part poorly educated and just plain socially inept. But I digress.
Haven’t seen nor ever heard of any white folk in knockdown drag-out at their local church. Or nor have I ever heard of some white folk at a high school basket ball game try to take out the cops as a family. Nor have I heard of a bunch of white folks brawling at a late night restaurant. Not saying it does not happen.
I know of plenty of drunken redneck knockdown drag-outs at any number of bars around the country, but that has more to do with the stupidity of beer muscles than a disregard of societal norms. The incivility of most of the leftie establishment media is another glaring example of white leftist stupidity. However, they are not trying to knock out a cop, assault their neighbor, or clobber their friends in a very public venue such as all these black folk have in the past few weeks. Facts are stubborn things…..

No, I don’t think so. If it’s the blacks who are doing the fighting, then perhaps the blacks should learn some civility. It just means that more blacks make self-defeating choices.
There are more blacks in prison than whites. Is that being discriminatory? No, it means that more blacks commit crimes than whites, which is to say that blacks make more self-defeating choices than whites.
More blacks drop out of school than whites. Does that mean that blacks are educated faster than whites? No, it means that more blacks make self-defeating choices than whites.
When a person becomes self-responsible, he makes self-enhancing choices, such as getting an education, getting a job, earning a living, and getting off the government dole. He makes something of himself when he’s responsible for himself. The government isn’t going to make anything but a parasite out of him.

No where in the Bible are we instructed to vote pastors in or out. A church is not a democracy, it is a body of believers, lead by a pastor, headed by Christ. The pastor, and the pastor only, makes the decisions on how the church will be run. He may choose to allow voting on various church business, but, ultimately, he makes the decisions based on God’s Word. More than likely, a “office of deacons” voted the guy out. That is unscriptural and unholy. Deacons, i.e., servants, are there to assist the pastor in ministering to people, especially orphans and widows. They have no “office”.
And while I’m on this rant, I might as well go off on a tangent that I know will ruffle a lot of feathers on here. “Churches” like the RCC and LDS are abominable, and here’s why: They are mutated freaks. E.g., I was talking to an LDS lady recenly who informed me (as if I didn’t know more about her church than she did) the the “head of the church” (her exact words) was Thomas S. Monson. I acted aloof and explained that the head of the church I belong to is The Lord Jesus Christ. She quickly responded, “Oh, ours, too.” I let it go. She was a nice lady. The point is this. The church is a body, Christ is the Head. If a body has two heads, it is a mutated freak, and exists not as intended. Same thing with the RCC.

You take it upon yourself to teach others the flaws in their religious beliefs and almost always use the same formula. “I talked to this person who was a (insert sect here) and he/she said (insert vague doctrine here).” You then try to use that as evidence that their belief system is faulty instead of considering that individuals level of education or ability to articulate their beliefs. I‘ve seen you people do it to Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists and Catholics. It is really quite amusing. It‘s also been a while since I’ve heard a comment as arrogant as “(as if I didn’t know more about her church than she did)”. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to giggle this morning.
