From WFTV-TV:
While talking to media, Congressman Grayson compared the attack on one of his supporters to the same kind of violence that killed President Kennedy and civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King.
“This is the same impulse to violence that killed Robert Kennedy, it’s the same impulse to violence that killed Martin Luther King,” said Grayson.
The attack started when one of Grayson’s supporters, Lance Parker, went to a Daniel Webster rally in Orlando and held a Grayson campaign sign up behind the stage where Webster was speaking.
While Parker was holding the sign, Bruce O’Donoghue, a former candidate and Webster supporter, snatched the sign out of Parkers hand and tried crumple it up. In the video, O’Donoghue can be heard cursing at Parker who repeatedly asked for his sign back.
Someone with the Webster campaign eventually stepped in and gave Parker his sign back. We’re told that person also had to step in when two other people tried to confront Parker.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 11:47pmThe sign shouldn’t have been grabbed if the event was on public ground. However, that said, Grayson needs to report to the nearest LOONY BIN immediately after he loses the election. He should do so as a public service!

The NH Governor has accused his opponent of being ‘under investigation’ which is a COMPLETE LIE.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 11:35pmGrayson is a horrible, disgusting person all so many levels. That said, the man grabbing the other person’s sign was completely wrong and out of line. He has a right to hold up a sign, so long as he doesn’t disrupt the candidates rally nor stand in front of the candidate.
He was behind and trying to get in line of sight, the guy was wrong, but he should’ve been politely asked to move out from that area and if not, I’m sure with most rallies, there is usually a policemen on the scene and the policemen should’ve been made aware of the situation and then had the policemen remove the person from the area they were in, but to pull down or touch the guys sign… wrong.
We are NOT the Alinsky liberals and we do NOT stoop to their gutter trash level politics.

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 11:35pmThe guy shouldn‘t have taken the man’s sign. The man with the sign already was making a statement for supporting the biggest jack-a** in Florida. Pete Stark and Alan Grayson should get together after the elections and do a commercial for Masengil.

I can so understand your confusion after attending a Grayson rally, and we’re glad you came here to support Mr. Webster…please…you are welcome to come stand right in front beside me, and listen to all the good things that Mr. Webster has in mind for our country when he gets to Washington, DC. You’ll enjoy listening to the ideas of a sane person for a change and I know you will be celebrating with us on election night. Follow me….and I’ve have taken his arm and pulled him right out front to stand beside me and listen, lol

Posted on October 31, 2010 at 10:41pmInstead of grabbing the sign out of his hands and destroying it which makes Webster and his supporters look bad, why not surround Parker with all Webster supporters and simply use your 1st ammendment rights and shout him down so that no one can hear his lying tongue and force him to leave. Every conservative should use absolutely no violence but use their voice to the fullest to convey the conservative message for America to hear. Remember if conservatives are the loudest then the progressive message will have an even more difficult time getting through.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:16amVery thoughtful comment. I do not blame the guy for losing his temper on that Grayson supporter however. Like others here said how could anyone support Grayson. As a Floridian I am so ashamed to have someone like him representing Florida and making a mockery of our entire state. I just hope that people realize that the vast majority of Floridians want nothing to do with this guy and that it will be a very wonderful treat if his but is voted out of office. He is a total disgrace and shame on those who voted him into office.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 9:01amthe interesting thing is that i haven’t read one comment about the misconduct of the webster supporter. the grayson guy was doing nothing wrong by standing there w/ a sign. he’s easy to ignore. what the webster supporter did WAS wrong and thankfully that woman recognized it and diffused the situation. i dislike grayson and the things he’s said as much as the next person. i want him out of office and i want him doing honest work for once in his life. all in all, this was wrong though, and i applaud that woman.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:03amThe assassinations of JFK and MLK were based on the hatred of the assassins to each of these fine men. To compare the deliberate, pre-meditated murder of a human being to a sign being grabbed is in my opinion on the extreme. A sign can be given back, a life cannot.
Report Post »FreedomOfSpeech
Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:09amDon’t let the lefties incite violence. If someone wants to wave an opposing sign, let them.
Obama is now burning books like the Nazis did.
This comment does not necessarily reflect the views of Glenn Beck, The Blaze, theblaze.com, Fox News or anyone else for that matter. The FAT CLOWN ANCHOR at MSNBC can eat balls.
Report Post »snowleopard3200 {mix art}
Posted on November 1, 2010 at 12:54amI must state that the comparison of a sign being grabbed and the assassination of both JFK and MLK is in two different fields. A sign is able to be given back to the person, as in this case. But the loss of a human life is something that can never be given back, no matter the cause.
Report Post »snowleopard3200 {mix art}
Posted on November 1, 2010 at 1:28amAnyone comparing the assassination of MLK and JFK, the deliberate murdering of two humans, to the grabbing of a sign please rethink the comparison. A sign is able to be returned, or a new one is able to be obtained/made. Each human life is precious, and at death, especially by murder, cannot be returned, forever they are gone to the world and each of us.

Posted on November 2, 2010 at 12:08pmIt is sad that this man acted towards the sign holder. It sends a negative message that kind of negates what Conservatives believe in. It is the Liberals who only believe in freedom of speech when it helps them. This man should not have been confronted and should have been allowed to show his sign without problem. That would have shown that we are all for freedom of speech even when we disagree and make the man with the sign look like a jerk to boot.
