CBS Censors Bill Maher’s Vile Tea Party Insult

Are the sands shifting in the MSM?
Have decency and respect for opposing opinions started seeping into the major broadcast networks?
The always-snarky Bill Maher visited David Letterman‘s ’Late Show’ on Monday night, as The Blaze previously reported, and delivered a nearly broadcast-friendly version of the typical Left-wing talking points he spews on his HBO show. CBS, however, had the decency to remove the vulgar slurs aimed at the Tea Party.
Perhaps Maddow, Matthews, and the MSNBC crew can learn something from CBS?
Hat tip to Brent Baker at Newsbusters.

Posted on April 26, 2011 at 9:21pmFree speech yes, but what he’s doing is spreading propaganda about the Tea Party. He’s one of the self-imposed intellectual who not only feeds on the applause, and if he doesn’t get his level of it, he cracks another one, possibly more funny to get it…Just watch him. It’s almost like a disease. But for him to use the ‘useful idiot’ term, the one they invented as a joke for the progressive movement, but a slap in the face with their own demeaning term, meant to taunt anyone paying attention. Speaking of facts, I didn’t hear a whole lot of them coming from him.

Posted on April 26, 2011 at 10:07pmLike you would take part in a more moderate debate. Moderate debates are about compromise. The tea party doesn’t believe in compromise. Their leaders continuously belittle and eviscerate legislators when they don’t get their way.

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 12:24amAnd those legislators have been nothing but nice to the tea party, right? It’s funny, I listen to you guys who hate the Tea Party talk about it and pigeonhole it (Alinsky would be proud of the propaganda effort) and I don‘t recognize it as anything that I’ve been a part of. So calling conservative African Americans “Uncle Toms” is part of the compromise thing that you libs are so good at?

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 2:23amSo, let me get this straight…. You are saying that just because you and some others did not know the meaning of a vulgar slur, that somehow it is …..not vulgar ? And you think the CBS network is just reacting to Tea Party complaints ? You can’t figure out why would CBS want to prevent a vile sexual term from being used to insult their audience ? That may be one of the most idiotic arguments ever presented in this forum (And that is saying something)
It doesn’t matter if a few, many or most of the audience does not know what the term means. It especially doesn’t matter what you know, since that cannot possibly be a high enough standard.
Your comment is incredibly vapid and mind-numbingly stupid.

Concerning the Tea Party name, yes it is derived from the name of the original revolt in Boston against the taxes King George imposed on the colonies.
Report Post »The name was adopted again after Rick Santerelli ranted on the floor of the CME in Chicago about paying for mortgages for other people. He invited us to join him in a Tea Party.

Obama does the same thing, but you respond differently… hmmmm… what could the difference be…. It‘s Beck who’s afraid to have opposing views on his shows. One would think that a man with so many facts at his disposal would be able to give these liberal pansies, like Maher, a mental thrashing they wouldn’t soon forget, but alas, that will never happen. The government restricting speech is what the Founding Fathers were afraid of. Decent citizens setting their own standards of what they will or will not accept in their homes and businesses is what the Founding Fathers encouraged.
CBS made an adult decision. They are not obligated to give Maher “free speech”. As citizens, we are endowed by our Creator with the right of free speech, but it is the government that is prohibited from restricting us in exercising that right– not fellow citizens, who may elect to deny you the use of their private property to say whatever you want.

Funny though, these companies aren’t creating jobs, which really shows how false the idea is that companies that make more money hire more people.
Still, despite record profits and CEOs getting multimillion dollar bonuses, the Tea Party wants to give them more tax breaks.
Everybody is concerned that the debt is getting larger, yet the Republican proposal is to reduce taxes – taxes for the rich, not your taxes – even further. In case it’s not obvious, that increases the national debt. That’s not a serious proposal, that’s a request for campaign donations.
Incomprehensibly, although companies are making record profits and yet not hiring, you guys are supporting even more tax breaks for these companies. I think that’s what Maher meant by “useful idiots.”

Call for a show of hands at any TEA rally: “Who here is being paid by the Koch brothers to show up?”
I have a serious problem when the shill of some corporate fat cat tries saying we who want our liberty are in the pocket of Big Business.

Is it just me, or does his face look like it needs a beating, I don’t know, to give it character? I’ve always thought that about him, even 20 years ago when he was getting started in comedy. Wasn’t that good at it so HBO gave him a show, worked out well didn’t it? Cooking with crisco baby

Of course, you conveniently leave out that companies right now fear their taxes increasing, the economy not climbing yet, and things like Obamacare kicking them in the gut.
With those sorts of burdens on them, no company in their right mind would be growing and expanding. Only an idiot would do something like that…like all the home owners that bought houses they couldn’t afford, assuming the market would only go up. But, I guess the left learns nothing from these sorts of things. Let’s just do it again! Let’s pass laws forcing companies to hire! That’ll fix it!

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 12:41amMaher lied and distorted every fact he uttered. He’s the real useful idiot along with Letterman and those that think either is funny.
It can be argued that the Tea Party had its beginning during the Bush Admin when conservatives fought against Bush’s Supreme Court nominees, his non securing the boarder and even his spending on the drug give-a-way.
Just what will you left wing idiots say when the economy collapses under its debt burden?

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 2:06amFREE speach is all good and we support it here.
But be prepared to face the consequesnces of your statements!!
A white man can go into a black community and utilize free speech calling out names but must be prepared to face the consequences of his statements. (porbably get his butt stomped)
Bill Maher must be prepared to be subjected to the consequences of his statements as well.
Say what ever you like, but know that someone will utilize their free speech, on you, in return!
SUCK IT UP!!! GET OVER IT!! Its all free speech but it has it’s price… ITS GREAT TO BE AN AMERICAN!!

Report Post »Go ahead and argue about Jesus’ political intentions. God, however, is a humanist through and through– the ultimate Founding Father, definitely a Constitutionalist. You know: “Hey Adam and Eve–do what you want, just don’t complain to me about the consequences….”

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 8:02amThe problem is he accuses us of lying, while lying through his nose. Yes, Bush ran up debt and we are against that too. If anyone else is like me, America fell asleep and wasn’t aware. We are awake now and are against anyone who is against raising taxes. The lie he told is that Bush ran up more debt than Obama. Obama’s FEBRUARY deficit was $200 billion while Bush’s largestANNUAL deficit was only 160 Billion. As a nieve Yellow Dog Republican (just punch the R), I will never again vote for the RINOs that are squishy on our nation’s finances. And yes, it’s all about money. If our finances collapse, there won’t be an America. I think he should move to a Socialist country where he would be happier since he hates America so much. The rest of us would rather it not become socialist here

Posted on April 27, 2011 at 8:48amMaher might want to look at the policies and incentives Republicans had to make to keep the military funded during Bush. Almost every Democrat voted to into afganistan and Iraq and soldiers died and then when it became unpopular they wanted to pull out before the mission was completed. And then there’s the giant multitrillion dollars burden put on America via the C.R.A. one of the very last thiongs Clinton did in office that flooded the house market with unqualified buyers and devistated the economy . And while Liberals douches like Maher were attcking wallstreet ceo for getting bonuses in companies losing hundreds of millions he didn’t say a word about Franklin raines getting 33 million dollar bonuses at Fannie Mae which is losing a trillion plus.
