Posted on December 12, 2010 at 10:45pmIt‘s an emotional threshold issue that just can’t be overcome. Glenn successfully deflects th\s phenomenon of his personality and accepts the caricature. John Boehner’s colleagues face a challenge in their leadership vote. Some perceive crying as ‘sensitivity’. Most associate it as a display of weakness when facing difficult issues and adversaries. I hope congressman Ryan is drafted to mount a challenge. Boehner openly admits that Ryan has written much of the playbook for the new majority partisans. It’s a long shot but very much worth a try just to set the stage for 2012.

Posted on December 12, 2010 at 7:19pmHe seems like a good guy, but I wish they’d put Ron Paul as the speaker. The Repub pledge that he announced of reducing spending back to 2008 levels is a joke. I’d like to see them get behind Paul and tear it all down back to the way it ought to be. Of course that would require a serious libertarian as president as well. Oh well.

Posted on December 12, 2010 at 7:32pmI agree. I think he is a good guy. Unfortunately, he’s a politician from the old school. The Pledge demonstrated that there is little difference between the Ds and Rs when it comes to actually fixing anything. They will need to retool…..and quickly.

Posted on December 12, 2010 at 7:19pmThe Progressives push their Socialist agenda with impunity. Hiding behind a facade of intellect, they run our entire education system. Their elitist points of view makes them feel as though they are above and beyond the normal people. They are systematically destroying the last bastion of freedom on earth. With all the collective intellect they posess,it is amazing that they have so little WISDOM. As a free man in a country falling into their hands, I cry too. Perhaps if wisdom was given it’s rightful place, above intellect, we would not be in this mess.

He crys because he sees the American people have awakened and that this country might still have a shot at saving it for his grandchildren and ours. Most decent and upstanding men work towards a better future for others when they themselves will be long gone. Others only work towards goals which bring glory to themselves in the short run. I don’t believe Boerner is one of these but I have been fooled before. I hope republicans do not let the country down this time around. I hope its for real.

Posted on December 12, 2010 at 7:21pmThis time will be different. Just like the last time was different. And the time before that. Boehner, god bless him, has a decade’s long history of extremely close ties to K street lobyists…..primarily oil and tobacco. Nothing illegal about it, mind you….and hardly unique. But ‘The People’ need to show no favor when it comes to the new house….if it is anything like business as usual.

They can’t come up with anything constructive or worth while, so they fill up their shows with progressive, stupid comments and they prove this every day. Chis Matthews is a good example of failing to remember that saying—’it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.’ None of them seem to live by that creed, but Matthews seems to be the worst for the stupid remarks. I doubt it would happen.
There is no way in he11 Hugo Chavez will allow that to happen. Did I say Hugo Chavez ? Oooops, I meant Barack Obama. NBC and ABC will continue to be marxist propaganda machines, maybe even double down on it.

Is your comment based on facts that have been reported or allegations that have been made about Mr. Boehner in the main stream media? I have never read anywhere that there is tangible proof that Boehner is an alcoholic Prozaz ingesting serial tanner, but I may have missed the article over the years. Eitherway, your comment implies that men who tear up are wimps, so here are a few things that make me tear up:
• Seeing 2 teams of 10 year old hockey players shaking each other’s hands after a game well played
• Reading about another tragic car accident taking a teenager’s life
• Every anniversary of my mother’s death from cancer
• Two Happy Hooligans from Fargo ND doing a flyover of our small town’s Fourth of July parade just as the last of the WWII, Korean, and Viet Nam vets march slowly by the grandstand
I find as I get closer to fifty I cry a lot easier now, but kicking a donkey like you square in the junk would certainly bring tears of joy.

Posted on December 13, 2010 at 3:21pmHey Tucker it was a joke. Did you watch this guy? If Pelosi or Obammie had been crying like that I could imagine what would be said. This guy is third in line from the presidency and cries like a child. He has no control of his emotions. Maybe this is acceptable to you and the current generation but 40 years ago he’d be done politically. He needs counseling or a shot of testosterone or something. This is not normal behavior and is a bit scary.
