CBS Reporter Gets Fed Up with Jay Carney’s Wordsmithing: ‘He Made a Mistake and You Can’t Admit It’

Press Secretary Jay Carney‘s longstanding tiff with Fox’s Ed Henry has been well-documented, but now it seems even members of the media’s “big three” (ABC, CBS, and NBC) are getting fed up with Carney and his wordsmithing.
During his Thursday-morning press briefing, Carney continued to try and explain away Obama’s comments that it would be “unprecedented” for the Supreme Court to overturn his health care law. After trying to wax poetic to Henry, CBS reporter Bill Plante called out Carney.
“What he said on Monday was an obvious misspoken moment, because he talked about the Court not being in the position to overturn acts of Congress. You‘re standing up there twisting yourself in knots because he made a mistake and you can’t admit it.”
Carney shot back: “No no no, Bill, I am acknowledging– you’re sharing in the righteous indignation here of your colleague [referring to Henry].”
Plante answered: “I‘m just noting that you’re putting yourself in knots.”
“The president spoke in answer to a question relatively briefly and in the context of this case made the statement that there is longstanding judicial precedent which would argue that court should not overturn this la,” Carney then added. “I totally grant to you that he did not refer to the Commerce Clause, he did not refer to the full context. I think he believed that that was understood. Clearly, some folks, notably people sitting in that chair [referring to Ed Henry] and others, missed that.”

Posted on April 5, 2012 at 3:23pmApparently you are a bit stupid. The Magna Carta was a check on the King’s power by granting parliamentary powers to the NOBILITY, but NOT to the populace. The average Joe was still a serf to his local lord. We’ve already moved beyond the Magna Carta with the Constitution which defined rights granted by a Supreme Being instead of government, and granted those rights to INDIVIDUALS and not just a different level of government.
Have any religious belief you want, I still trust in having MY rights granted by someone other than government which will change and delete my rights as they see fit.

I have more historical knowledge and political savvy in my middle finger than your family lineage.
The people rose up to tyranny with an ultimatum. That is the bottom line. I could care less about irrelevent details and semantics.
Our Country is going down the drain due to the Bankruptcy of 1933, which was a default on a 1913 loan from our third central bank.
Our problem is a debt money system controlled by the global elite.
All our tax money goes to the old debt. Every dollar brought into existence is printed because someone signed a pledge to pay. Debt Money with interest.
If we don’t rise up to a plutocracy soon, it will be too late. A three year warning to the elite, calling for a 800-year anniversary is a palatable concept to me. If they back off, a revolution will not be neccessary.

It’s smart to have many sources for information. It’s not wise to take one source as the gospel especially when its an internet video called Endgame. I recognize the theme. We have many issues to deal with in the years to come but a revolution will only enslave us more. Some would argue that is exactly what they want. We must work within the Constitution.

Posted on April 5, 2012 at 4:00pmThe King was God’s chosen representative on earth. He was responsible for defending the natural rights of his subjects. Then reality set in. The King was nothing more than a human masquerading as God’s representative. So then you get Magna Carta, followed by a bicameral half-elected Parliament once the nobility was discovered to be as corruptible as the King.
Installing a government at gunpoint to replace the current one will be every bit as likely to be imperfect as this one is. Victory comes in the form of changing minds to right thinking, not killing, imprisoning or exiling them.
Question is: Are we strong enough to win the argument without killing, imprisoning and exiling our opponents? I’d like to think so.

So what if the world’s economic systems have been largely smoke and mirrors for the last 50 years. It’s still workable. At its base level, currency is just a way optimize barter.
Our nation’s debt to income ratio is becoming problematic – hence the drop in credit rating.
Our president and congress (mostly the senate) have embarrassed the nation by failing to control spending.
The budget needs to get balanced; and, raising taxes won’t do that; as, there isn’t enough income to tax – or at least there won’t be if the raised the rates to the levels that would be needed.
Federal spending is out of control, across the board. It has been for some time.

The ABA is the legal arm of the PRIVATE COMPANIES; the Federal Reserve and their collection Agency: the IRS.

7) people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it

But that will never happen, as the trolls that would walk off a cliff for him now “really” belive that the high court “could” be acting in error.

Posted on April 5, 2012 at 3:08pmIn so many words, Jay Carney explained to the rest of lowly humanity that Obama is SO intellectually advanced, that he sometimes leaves out details – assuming they are understood by all. Jay Carney explains Obama’s true mistake is not realizing how utterly stupid everyone else is, and that he needs to work on talking down on our level more so we can, just maybe, grasp his infinite wisdom.

Obama is not God, he is not the messiah, he is not infallible. Someone who can’t say he poorly worded his intent is telling me, that he said exactly what he said and he meant every word. He was basically sending a shot over the bow of the Supreme Court that there will be hell to pay if they overturn the mandate.
He was very clear to me and I am not a supposed CONSTITUTIONAL scholar.

Posted on April 5, 2012 at 3:15pmI agree. It was clear to everyone (the right and the left) what Obama meant. This was an “in your face” moment to the Supreme Court and the citizens of the USA because Obama thinks (and probably already knows) that the law will be found to be constitutional.
I hope a miracle happens, but I have a sinking feeling the country is going to lose – and lose big on this one.
At this point all I can do is pray for this country, especially the idiots that voted this ******* into office.

It doesn‘t matter who Obama p’s off as long as everyone is p’d off. He needs Congress, SCOTUS, citizens, Unions, OWS, teachers, Police, the unemployed, those on food stamps, everyone… to get so p‘s off that they all rise up against the Gov’ment in one movement so he can declare martial law and become a dictator.

I fully understand what you are saying. You can feel the tension in the air created by the ongoing race-baiting, social collectivism, apathetic, demoralizing nature of the president and his bots. It’s really aggravating to say the least.
You just have to pray and keep convincing yourself to be unafraid. God has a plan.
I know what God has planned for me, and the bad guys won’t like it.
